WILKINSON, Loyal Russell (Bud), 78, of Tucson, died Sunday, May 5, 1996. Survived by daughter, Audrey Arnold (Kenneth) of Tucson; three granddaughters, Laura and Lisa Gardiner of Tucson and Cherie Brown (Vince) of CA. Preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Iris Leona Wilkinson, and his son, William Arthur Wilkinson. Mr. Wilkinson established the family business, Rite Roofing Company, in 1961. The business is currently run by his daughter Audrey with the help of her husband Ken. He loved to fly in his 'Little Sut' airplane around his home state of Michigan. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in WWII. He worked in Marana starting in 1952 as an instrument flying instructor until the program was terminated. He ran a Richfield service station until 1961 when he started the roofing business. He was a kind and patient man having cared for his wife for many years when she was ill and always giving love to his family. At the request of Mr. Wilkinson, no services are planned. WINTER, Gary R., 54, a resident of Tucson for 50 years, died May 2, 1996. He was born in Steubenville, OH, December 27, 1941. He graduated from Catalina High School in Tucson and Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, AZ with a BS in Marketing. He served in the U.S. Army Security Agency during the Vietnam War. He was Vice President and Director of the Tucson Board of Realtors and President of the Tucson Multiple Listing Service and National Director and President of the Tucson Chapter NAIFA. ELMER, Willard T., 76, of Tucson, passed away on May 2, 1996. He moved to Tucson in 1973 from Rockford, IL. He was the owner/operator of Country Trading Post Antiques. Survivors include wife, Emmajean, married December 18, 1940; son, Douglas of Rockford, IL; two brothers, Paul and Duane of Rockford, IL; two sisters, Ruth of FL and Jean of Madison, WI; grandson, David of Las Vegas, NV. McDONELL, Dorothy Gordon, passed away May 1, 1996. Born December 3, 1913, Ladysmith, V.I., B.C., Canada. Graduate of St. Joseph School of Nursing, Victoria, B.C. Preceded in death by her husband, Archie McDonell. Archie met and married Dorothy in 1945. Archie was a graduate of the University of Idaho Mining School. They lived and worked in British Guinea, Idaho, Vermont, Virginia, Tennessee and Pennsylvania before moving to Tucson where in September, 1981 Archie retired as Senior Vice President of Arizona Mineral, Subsidiary of Atlantic Richfield. Dorothy and Archie choose Tucson as their retirement living here for the past 26 years. She is survived by two sons, Daniel Gordon, A. Scott; and five grandchildren. Memorial Mass will be held at SS Peter and Paul Monday, May 6 at 10:30 a.m. Interment of cremation will take place in Nelson, B.C., Canada. REITZ, Wayne G., 62, born September 17, 1933 in Chicago, IL, died in Tucson on May 2, 1996. Following a two year battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by father, George A. and brother, Raymond G. He is survived by daughter, Victoria; mother, Sophie; brother, George (Carrie); sister, Marlene (Jack) Fagan, all of Tucson; and sister, Shirley Camera of FL; also by many nieces and nephews. While it existed, Wayne was a very active member of the 'Telephone Pioneers', volunteering countless hours on their activities that helped support the Carondelet Hospice Program. Wayne was an employee of Mountain Bell/U S West for 44 years. Services will be private.
ROSE, Donald C., 80, passed away peacefully Friday morning, May 3, 1996. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Darlene; daughter, Diane (Orren) Biesterfeld; and grandchildren, Shawn (Todd) Walsh, Craig and Sarah Biesterfeld; also sister, Lois Rose of Aiken, SC; and brother, Richard Rose of Iowa Falls, IA. Don arrived in Tucson in 1948 from Iowa Falls with his family to enjoy the dry Tucson climate. An early member of El Rio and Forty Niners Country Club and later Rolling Hills, he loved the game of golf and his many friends. He was a life member of Elks Club 385 and attended Catalina United Methodist Church. In 1978 Don sold The Buffet and entered into an active retirement. His family appreciated the care he received as a resident of Bel Aire Care Home where he left peacefully. A Memorial will be held at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway, Wednesday, May 8 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a favorite charity.
ROTH, Ellen F., passed away May 2, 1996. Survived by her son, Charles Roth V; daughter, Margaret Roth; grandson, Charles Roth VI and granddaughter, Hillary Roth. Ellen received a BA from Washington University in St. Louis, MO. She was a retired Social Worker living in Tucson since 1982, active in the Catholic Church and the Mensa Organization. McCLURE, Elma Marie (Tyson), was called home to be with our Lord on May 1, 1996. Elma was born in Pontotoc County, OK and is a member of the Chickasaw Indian Nation. Elma wed Dick McClure in Stratford, OK on November 29, 1934. In 1951 they moved to Morenci, AZ and then to Tucson in 1962. Elma has been a member of Manor Baptist Church since 1965 and also enjoyed the fellowship of Welcome Baptist Church. She is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Dick; sons, Bob (Frances) of Indio, CA, Jim (Donna); daughter, Betty (Larry) Shelman, all of Tucson; grandchildren, Phyllis Hiser, Steven, Richard, Darlene, Eddie, Greg and James; great-grandchildren, Blake Busey, Nicole, Tyrell and Brook. STANG, Fred W., passed away 26 April, 1996. He was born 6 August, 1923 and moved from Indiana to Tucson, AZ in 1953 where he managed the Mayflower Division at Tucson Warehouse and Transfer Company. In 1969 Fred became Vice President of the High Value Products Division of North American Van Lines. Then in 1973 he formed Ralph's Transfer, Inc. Agent for North American Van Lines, and was the beloved C.E.O. of the corporation until his death. Fred was a member of Tucson Chamber of Commerce, Better Business Bureau, Sertoma Club, Tucson Transportation Club, Delta Nu Alpha, National Defense Traffic Association and The American Movers Conference. He played golf and was a member of Tucson National. Fred greatly enjoyed his two loving companions 'Dumbo' (his Chow) and 'Niki' (his St. Bernard) whom he always took for his daily walk. He is survived by his daughter, Christy; and granddaughter, Nancy Hettlinger of Scottsdale; his sister, Erica (Adam) Olis of Merrillville, IN; and his extended family, Marie, Randy (Suzi), Ron, and Frank (Connie) Wicks of Tucson. Fred was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by all who knew him, especially those whom he inspired with his wit, wisdom and generosity.

BOTTING, Roland Bassett, 92, died April 27, 1996. Preceded in death by his wife, Mary Cecelia (Coon). Survived by sons, Paul (Maxine) of Gaithersburg, MD and Peter (Libbie) of Pittsford, NY; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive. As a professor of English literature, Dr. Botting taught at universities in Washington State, Texas and South Dakota. He was also a Dean of Faculty at Adelphi College Long Island, NY.
