BRORBY, Melvin L., 101, died April 28, 1996 in Tucson, AZ. Survived by daughter, Virginia; son, Harry; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Born 1894, Decorah, IA. He attended University of Wisconsin, Oxford University, University of Strassbourg, and the Sorbonne (Paris). After serving in WWI, he did extensive traveling in Europe, India, and China. Co-founder and Senior Vice-President of Needham, Louis, and Brorby Inc., advertising agency in Chicago which, after several mergers, became DDB Needham Worldwide. His interest in world affairs led him to participate in the Chicago Council of Foreign Relations and the Wingspread Foundation of Racine, WI. He had a deep interest in music and art which became a dominant influence on his family. There will be no funeral services. In lieu of flowers, please give to your favorite charity. DAASCH, Francis (Frank) J., 87, of Tucson, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 1996. Survivors include beloved wife of 62 years, Orpha C.; daughter, Donna Jean (Ray) Maynard, TX; son, Edward F. (Mary) Daasch, NM; grandchildren, Robert and Brad Holt, Debbie Stary, Julie Centeno, Joanna Culham, Jackie, Eric and Marc Daasch; great grandchildren, Tara and Whitney Holt, Jeremy Centeno and Douglas Culham; brother, Lester W. Daasch, Maryland. Mr. Daasch was born August 9, 1908 in Davenport, IA. He graduated from Iowa State University (B.S. Engineering) and the University of Minnesota (M.S. Engineering). Mr. Daasch was a 43 year 32nd Degree Mason and a charter member of Sabbar Shrine Temple. He was a professor for 10 years at University of North Dakota, University of Houston and the University of Arkansas. He worked for Gulf Oil Co. Tulsa, OK, Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Island, IL, D/M AFB, Tucson. He was also the first engineer on the 18 Titan Missile Sites and worked at the Kitt Peak Observatory. He also served as the National Chairman of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and was listed in Who's Who of Engineers. Mr. Daasch retired at age 62 and moved to Tucson in 1961 with his wife Orpha and have been members of Our Saviors Lutheran Church for the past 34 years. STANG, Fred W., passed away 26 April, 1996. He was born 6 August, 1923 and moved from Indiana to Tucson, AZ in 1953 where he managed the Mayflower Division at Tucson Warehouse and Transfer Company. In 1969 Fred became Vice President of the High Value Products Division of North American Van Lines. Then in 1973 he formed Ralph's Transfer, Inc. Agent for North American Van Lines, and was the beloved C.E.O. of the corporation until his death. Fred was a member of Tucson Chamber of Commerce, Better Business Bureau, Sertoma Club, Tucson Transportation Club, Delta Nu Alpha, National Defense Traffic Association and The American Movers Conference. He played golf and was a member of Tucson National. Fred greatly enjoyed his two loving companions 'Dumbo' (his Chow) and 'Niki' (his St. Bernard) whom he always took for his daily walk. He is survived by his daughter, Christy; and granddaughter, Nancy Hettlinger of Scottsdale; his sister, Erica (Adam) Olis of Merrillville, IN; and his extended family, Marie, Randy (Suzi), Ron, and Frank (Connie) Wicks of Tucson. Fred was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by all who knew him, especially those whom he inspired with his wit, wisdom and generosity.

In Memory Of Thomas H. Duke Jr. Retired Army Major, died at the age of 76 of lung cancer on Friday, April 26, 1996. Tom was born to Ruth E. and Thomas Duke Sr. in Palestine, TX on February 2, 1920. He entered the Army at age 20. Served in WWII, Korean War, and Vietnam War, retiring July 1960. He then went on to work in Civil Service at Fort Huachuca, AZ for Strategic Air Command retiring after 15 years in April 1983. Shortly thereafter he moved to Tucson, AZ where he resided until his untimely illness. Dad and grandpa is survived by his four sons and one daughter and their spouses, Thomas H. Duke (Dawn) of San Francisco, CA, Patricia L. Hart (David) of St. David, AZ, Robert A. Duke (Marcy) of Tucson, AZ, David B. Duke of Tucson, AZ, and James E. Duke (Patty) of Tucson, AZ; seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Crystal and Randy Duke and Tami, Shawndi, Aubrie and Trevor Hart. He also has a sister, Lynn Squires of Kingwood, TX; and three cousins, Dorothy Stackhouse of New Port Richey, FL, Edward Norsworthy of Dallas, TX and Edward Vinson of Pine Bluff, AR; dear friends of the family are Elva Duke, Misty and Lewis Gruber, Margie Premovich, and Robert and Patty Premovich. KEYES, Lois, 63, of Tucson, died April 29, 1996. She was born to Herbert Wandersee and Arene (Fahrenkamp) on October 22, 1932 near Gibbon, MN (Sibley County). She was received into God's kingdom through the sacrament of Holy Baptism on November 6, 1932. She attended St. John's Lutheran School in Sleepy Eye, MN through the eight grade. She confirmed her faith in our Risen Savior on April 14, 1946, at St. John's Lutheran Church. She went on to graduate from Sleepy Eye High School June 1, 1950. She married Lawrence R. Keyes June 4, 1950 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye, MN. She moved to Tucson, AZ with Lawrence in April 1977. She is remembered by her husband, Lawrence; daughters, Lola (Michael) Nelson of Henry, SD, LeaRae Keyes (Charles Lucas) of Andover, MN; grandchildren, Gregory Nelson, Gwendolyn Nelson, Grant Nelson, Benjamin Nelson, Jessica Nelson; great grandson, Gunner Nelson, all live in the Watertown, SD area; sisters, Shirley (Lester) Schmidt of Fort Dodge, IA, Jean Pipes of Springfield, MN; brother, Wallace Wandersee of Bloomington, MN and many nieces and nephews.
