Arthur Willard Blohm was born in Yuma, Arizona on October 20, 1935 to Margaret Guthrie Blohm and Willard Frederick Blohm. He passed away on November 2, 2001, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at Johnsons Mortuary on Tuesday, November 6, 2001 at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow with Desert Lawn Memorial Park as his final resting place alongside his son.

Brandon Matthew Jacoby
Brandon Matthew Jacoby, 15 of Yuma, Arizona entered Eternal Life on October 30, 2001, at Yuma Regional Medical Center Emergency room. He passed away after a courageous battle with pneumonia and multiple organ failures. Brandon was born January 15, 1986 in Yuma, Arizona.
Brandon Jacoby will be remembered for his charming crooked smile, his love of music and those kind big brown eyes that twinkled and held so much wisdom for his tender years. At the age of 27 months he had the misfortune of a near drowning accident that changed his life immediately from being an active, inquisitive, fun loving toddler to a severely challenged toddler that became infantile.
Survivors include his Mama, Carol Ann Jacoby; his mamaw, Lucille C. Jacoby; his special Angel, Isabel; his godparents, Dr. James L Thurber, Michael T. O’Laughlin and Wilna marie Roberts; Great aunts and uncles, Edward and Elizabeth Hoever, Mrs. Mary Jo Tromble, Mrs. Caroline Hoever, Charles and Margaret Boone and Mrs. Helen J. White.; his two special caregivers Rosenda Pico and Leticia Perez who always made a special time for him. Brandon also leaves behind many cousins and friends, for he never knew a stranger. A memorial Mass of the Angels will be officiated by Msgr. O’Keefe Wednesday November 7, 2001 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Private Cremation will follow the church service with private internment of the ashes at Desert Lawn Mausoleum at a later date.
Honorary urn bearers are the following: Ruben Espinoza, Jeff Jones, Bill Kennedy, Phil Ross, Ron Ross and Radu Timis.

James “Jimmy” Barroteran
James “Jimmy” Barroteran, 24, passed away October 28, 2001 in Yuma, Arizona. He was born June 3, 1977 in Casa Grande, Az.
Mr. Barroteran was a plumber for Foothills Plumbing.
Survivors include; his wife Maria Barroteran and daughters ILene Barroteran, Rachel Barroteran, Selina Barroteran and Rosa Barroteran all of the Foothills.
Mr. Barroteran was preceded in death by his father Gustavo Barroteran.
Visitation will be held at Johnson Mortuary, November 6, 2001 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel, November 7, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. with final resting place Desert Lawn Memorial Park.

Joseph D. Kenyon
Mr. Joseph D. Kenyon, age 79, of Anna, Texas, passed away November 3, 2001, at his home. He was born July 2, 1922, in Cobert County, New York, to James and Anna Kenyon. He married Edith Graham on March 31, 1966, in Pueblo, Colorado. Mr. Kenyon served in the U. S. Army, was a maintenance worker, and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Edith Kenyon of Anna, Texas; sons, Dennis Kenyon and wife, Laura of Littleton, Colorado, Joe Kenyon, Jr. of Littleton, Colorado, and Gary Kenyon and wife, Jacquelyn of Littleton, Colorado; daughter, Janet Sanford and husband, Robert of Anna, Texas; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, at DFW National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M., Monday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.

Enrique Lomeli, 27, passed away on November 2, 2001 in Tucson, AZ. He was born in Yuma, AZ on November 11, 1973. He attended Kofa High School and AWC. He worked at K-Mart in the groceries department for 6 years.
Survivors include his wife, Hilda L. Lomeli; son, Enrique D. Lomeli; daughter, Laura I. Lomeli; mother and father, Raul A. and Bertha G. Lomeli; brothers, Raul E. Lomeli and Eloy Lomeli; sister, Veronica Lomeli, all of San Luis, AZ and 20 nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary in Somerton, on Wednesday, November 7, 2001 from 5:00 - 9:00 PM with the rosary at 7:00PM. Funeral services will be at Immaculate Heart of Mary as well on Thursday, November 8, 2001 at 9:00AM.
Consuelo Cano Noriega
Consuelo Cano Noriega, 89, passed away on November 2, 2001 at Yuma Regional Medical Center. She was born on June 8, 1912 in Pearce, Arizona.
She was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Somerton, AZ. She sang in choirs for the church for several years. She was also a member of The Guadalupanas of Somerton Dance Group.
She was survived by her husband Honorio V. Noriega, Daughters Vangie Rodriguez and OlgaMedina, Son Manuel Cano; Sisters Ramona Orduno and Rita Merino. 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Mary Medivles and Rose Merino. Brothers Manuel Torres, Alex Torres, Sr. and Frank Cano.
Visitation will at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Somerton, AZ on Tuesday November 6, 2001 from 5:00pm-9:00pm with Rosary at 7:00 pm.
Funeral services also held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church on Wednesday, November 7, 2001 at 10:00am. Father Javier Perez will officiate. Final resting place will be Desert Lawn Memorial Park.

Belen V. Lara, 51 of Yuma, Az passed away on November 3, 2001 at Yuma Regional Medical Center. She was born on March 15, 1950 in Zacatecas, Mx. Belen worked as a Senior Jewelry Specialist at J.C. Penney’s for 15 yrs.
She is survived by her husband Gilbert Lara, Sons Ronald and Roman Lara. Daughter Belen Lara, Father and Mother Ramon Villegas and Eugenia Villegas; and 4 Grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Johnson Mortuary on Thursday, November 8, 2001 from 5:00pm to 10:00 pm, with Rosary at 7:00pm.
Funeral Services will be at Immaculate Conception Church on Friday, November 9, 2001 at 9:00 a.m.
Final resting place will be at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.

Mr. Charles “Carlos” O. Magdaleno
Charles “Carlos” Magdaleno, 73, died on November 3, 2001 in Yuma, AZ. He was born on February 29, 1928 in Yuma. He graduated from Yuma High School in 1949 and continued to be a life long, die hard Yuma High Criminal fan. Carlos joined the Navy at the age of 15 and was a veteran of World War II. He was honorably discharged in 1946. He retired after 40 years with the Bureau of Reclamation. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church; Cursillista and Dioceses of Tucson.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Janet Magdaleno, of Yuma, son, Chris (Cathy) Magdaleno, of Yuma, Nick (Beth) Magdaleno, of Murrieta, CA, Dr. Mark Magdaleno, of Phoenix, AZ, Andy Magdaleno and Gabe Magdaleno, both of Ontario, CA; daughter, Linda (Al) Olivarez, of Yuma; brothers, Gilbert Magdaleno,of Colorado Springs, CO, Alex Magdaleno, of Yuma, AZ, Gene Magdaleno, of Prescott, AZ, Roman Magdaleno, of Chino Valley, AZ, John Magdaleno, of Roseville, CA, Frank Leno, of Washington and Ray Magdaleno, of Chandler, AZ; sisters, Virginia Murrieta, of Yuma, AZ, Mary Ann Proctor, of Birmingham, AL, Julie LeRoy, of San Bernadino, CA, Socorro Wolf, of Chicago, IL and Mary Helen Storm-Larson, of LA, CA; ten grand children, eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews andcousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Roman and Daria Magdaleno; son, Gregory Magdaleno; daughter, Celia Magdaleno; brothers, Tony Magdaleno and Alfred Magdaleno and sisters, Belen Rosales and Juanita Ordaz.
A memorial mass will be Thursday, November 8, 2001 at 9:00 AM at our Lady of Guadalupe Mission of 15th Ave. Cremation is being handled by Kammanns Mortuary. Burial will follow immediatelyafter services at Desert Lawn Memorial Cemetery with full military honors. Fr. John Arnold from Immaculate Conception Church will officiate.
Ruth Ann Dora
Ruth Ann Dora, after a lengthy illness, answered God’s call on Monday, October 29,2001 at TMC in Tucson, A.Z. She was born on October 25, 1920 to Ray and Madge (Taylor) Shaw in Pawnee, Ok., where she attended school for most of her elementary years before moving to Coolidge, A.Z. and graduating from Coolidge High School.
Ruth married Charles M. Dora on November 21, 1940 in Lordsburg, N.M. They relocated from Coolidge, A.Z. in 1950 to Yuma, A.Z., where they opened a branch of Dora Bros. Dist. Co. bringing Borden’s Dairy Products to the Yuma area.
She was a great example to all who knew her. She was an active mother in her children’s lives. She taught square dancing to many Yuma area children for years, as well as Sunday school at the First Christian Church.
Ruth was an avid bridge player and enjoyed golf until her disability prohibited her from enjoying the sport any longer. She was instrumental in bringing “Recovery” a self help group for better mental health, to the Yuma area. She served as leader and mentor for many years and remained interested till her death. She was also a member of the Ladies Of The Elks.
She retired in 1974 to travel and RV around the U.S. and Mexico and to lead a less hectic life.
Survivors include her daughter, Judythe A. Dora of Yuma; son John M. Dora and his wife Carol of Tucson; four grandchildren, Kelly Hoeven, Holly Widmar, Jill Dora, and Michael Dora and three great-grandchildren; Emily and Sam Hoeven and Alison Taylor Dora (born on October 25, 2001); siblings Mary Hibberd, Betty Hanson, Curtis and Charles Shaw. She is preceded in death by her husband, son, Peter, David, parents, brothers, Edward Taylor and Tyler.
Pastor Rex Russell of Broadway Christian Church of Tucson, Az., will be in charge of the prayers and eulogy. The memorial services will be held at Broadway Christian Church at 4741 E. Broadway, Tucson. Az. on Saturday November 10, 2001 at 11:00 a.m.
She will rest in peace in the family plot in Coolidge, Az.

Jon Lyndon Rowe
Jon Lyndon Rowe, 42, surrounded by his loving family, passed away November 1, 2001, following a courageous six-month struggle with leukemia.
Jon was born into a Marine Corps family in Twentynine Palms, California on September 13, 1959, settling in Yuma over 30 years ago. He spent the last ten years of his life working in the Signal Department of the Union Pacific Railroad. Jon loved his job, which allowed him to work outdoors in the desert west of Yuma.
Always strong and fearless, and a bit of a daredevil in his younger years, Jon grew to be a devoted family man. Above all else, he preferred spending time with his beloved wife, Jill Michelle; his son, Jon Matthew; and his four dogs - Rocky, Tucker, Joey and Anatoli.
Jon is also survived by his mother, Jean Rowe, of Prescott, AZ; and his brothers, Ben and Keith (Beth), of Yuma.
The family is especially comforted in the knowledge that Jon is now safe and free from suffering, by the side of his father, Ben C. Rowe Sr., who preceded him in death. And, at his feet is Bjorne, his long-departed childhood companion, a black poodle/springer spaniel who always helda special place in his heart.
Private cremation arrangements were handled by Johnson Mortuary. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel at Kammann Mortuary, 795 W. 28th Street, with Rev. Charles Tyson officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorial donations be made to the Yuma County Humane Society, 285 N. Figueroa Avenue in Yuma, AZ 85364.
