NEUMANN, Hertha Zola, 81, resident of Tucson for 45 years and she was a frequent visitor to Pebble Beach, CA, died July 27, 1996 in Monterey, CA. Survived by husband, Donald A. Neumann of Tucson; daughters, Sheila Ann Hall of San Jose, CA and Sharon Lee Neumann-Solow of Pebble Beach, CA; brother, Richard Zola of Shorewood, WI. Also survived by four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Mrs. Neumann was a teacher and counselor with the Arizona State School for the Deaf and Blind in Tucson, AZ. She retired in 1979. She was a member of Phi Kappa Zeta Sorority; National Association of Deaf; Arizona Association of the Deaf; Tucson Association of the Deaf and National Fraternal Society of the Deaf. Member of the Walnut Creek Senior Citizens Association and Gallaudet University Alumni Association. She was a graduate from Gallaudet University, Washington, D.C. in 1940. Joe was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Martin de Porres Council #6848. Joe served in the 55th machine gunnery division, 1st Marine division during WWII, from 1941-1945.
