Husband of Beverly; father of Laura Hayhurst of CA and James (Sheila) Hayhurst of CA; brother of Jane (Rex) Jones of CA; grandfather, Chelsea, Chase and Travis. Memorial Service 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 19, 1996 at Gates of Heaven Cemetery, Los Altos, CA. Contributions to the charity of ones choice would be appreciated. LEYVAS, Antonio T., 78, of Tucson, passed away July 14, 1996. Preceded in death by brother, Candalero “Lalo’ Gavino Trejo. Survived by husband, Albert B. Leyvas; daughters, Maria Elena Sanchez, Rachel T. Leyvas; son, Albert Leyvas; brothers, Mauro and Pete Trejo; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 18, 1996 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at TUCSON MORTUARY, INC., 240 S. Stone Ave., with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered Friday, July 19, 1996 at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of All Saints, 2915 E. 36th St. Interment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. Arrangements by TUCSON MORTUARY, INC.

MCDONALD, Betty L., passed away at age 62 on July 12, 1996. Survived by husband Harold L. McDonald; daughter Jeanne (Victor) Nordstrom; son Harold James McDonald (“Jim’); and daughter Joan McDonald Gabusi, all of Tucson; sister Virginia Olden of CA; four grandchildren David Nordstrom, Daniel Nordstrom, Amanda Raisch-McDonald and Amy Gabusi. Betty is also survived by many loving friends and extended family members. Betty was born in Canastota, NY on September 7, 1933. Harold and Betty married on September 2, 1956 and thru the years traveled across the United States and abroad. Betty was a retired registered nurse in several states. She moved to Tucson with her husband and three children in 1964. Betty volunteered much of her retirement time to others. She has been a dedicated case worker for Mobile Meals. She also visited hospitals and nursing homes as a clown named Grammy spreading cheer to others. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mobile Meals of Tucson. Funeral Service 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 18, 1996 at BRING’S MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 236 S. Scott.

MILIANTI, Peter J., Jr., 59, died June 21, 1996. Survived by wife, Rose; sons, Victor (Elizabeth) Milianti and Steve (Jennifer) Olson; daughters, Carleen (Kent) Scialabba and Sherie Nelson; four granddaughters and three grandsons; parents, Peter and Marie Milianti; and brother, Frank J. Milianti of Chicago. Peter was a member of Southern Arizona Mortgage Bankers Assoc. and the Old Pueblo Civitan Club. Private services have been held. Donations may be to Hospice Family Care.

PICKETT, Thomas E., passed away July 12, 1996 following a long illness. Survived by wife, Liz; and brothers, William and Charlie. Tom was a decorated Vietnam veteran and a loving person who lived life to the fullest. There will be no services or funeral. Tom, although you are gone from us, your love and memory will be carried on by your family and friends forever.

SCHAEFER, Ida M., 71, of Tucson, died July 14, 1996. Survivors include: sons, Bernie (Catherine) Schaefer of Seattle, WA, Larry Schaefer of San Diego, Steve Schaefer of Dolton, IL and Joe (Nancy) Schaefer of Indiana; daughter, Mary Schaefer of Dolton, IL, Anne (Daniel) Bryan of Sutter Creek, CA, Therese (Louk Nienhuis) Schaefer of Tucson; numerous grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters. Friends may call at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway), Tuesday, July 16, 1996 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Funeral will be at Community-Odyt Chapel, Riverdale, IL on Friday. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway).

THOMISON, Eileen (Ryan), 77, died June 7, 1996. Husband Robert “Mac’ preceded her in death. Retired registered nurse of the Southern Pacific Hospital, Carl Hayden Hospital and St. Mary’s Hospital. Inurnment was at South Lawn Cemetery. Memorial Mass will be offered at St. Mary’s Hospital Chapel Wednesday, July 17 at 2:00 p.m.

BENTJEN, Clark L., passed away suddenly July 2, 1996. He was born June 16, 1942 in Vermillion, SD. He served four years in the Air Force. He worked for Learjet for 19 years. Funeral Services were held July 5, 1996 at United Methodist Church in Walt Hill, NE and he was laid to rest in Rose Hill Cemetery in Pender, NE. He is survived by his parents, Elmer and Harriett Bentjen of Pender, NE; daughter, Bethany Bentjen-Boyd of Tucson; grandson, Cord M. Boyd of Tucson; sisters, Bonnie Berg of Walt Hill, NE, Sandee Mahin and Jamie Bentjen of Elk Point, SD. Also surviving Clark are his nephews, Scott Mahin, Brian Mahin and Drey Bentjen, all of Elk Point, SD. A memorial get together will be held July 18, 1996 at the Desert Classic Mobile Home Park Recreation Room at 5250 S. Campbell Ave. between 7:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

LeBARGE, Robert Thomas, 81. Born May 19, 1915 in Toronto, Canada, passed away July 13, 1996. A Tucson resident since 1947. He managed the University Barber Shop from 1948 until 1963, when he and Erik Johannsen opened the El Rancho Barber Shop. He continued there until three months before his demise. He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret; sons, Gary, George and Johnny; daughter, Donna; 11 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren so far. Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 16 at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Gospel Rescue Mission or Salvation Army.

MYERS, Jean G., died July 13, 1996, age 73. Survived by her husband Wayne T. Myers. Mother of Sandra Peterson of Tucson. Sister of Wanda Sierock of TN. NITSKE, Betty L., 79, of Tucson, AZ, passed away July 12, 1996 in Tucson. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, 1996 at the HARRIS-HANLON MORTUARY, in Moriarty, New Mexico with burial following within the Estancia Cemetery in Estancia, NM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Music Scholarship Fund at the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Todd of Tucson; mother, Thelma Barton of Fulton, MO; daughters, Chris Bathrust and Kim Pfister, both of Tucson; grandchildren, C.J. Hamm, Casey Hamm, Tracie Lindsay, Mitch, Matt and Brittany Pfister; sister, Bonnie (Big) Bemberger of Fulton, MO; brother, Floyd (Janice) Todd of Nash, OK; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Todd worked as an Airlines Maintenance Instructor. Services Wednesday, 10:00 a.m., EVERGREEN MORTUARY. Interment Evergreen Cemetery. BUETTNER, Martha E., 91, died July 10, 1996. Survived by daughter, Joann C. Russell; grandsons, Donald C. Russell, Jr., Dr. David M. Russell, Dennis J. Russell, Darrin (Teri) Russell; and great-grandchildren, Cortney and Carisa Russell. Graveside Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 15, 1996 at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY.

DAVIS, Martin Robert, 76, died July 12, 1996. Father of Mark R. Davis of Tucson, Judy Ottney, Kerri Tang and Lisa Wright, all of MI; brother of Hallie Davis of MO, Donna Deuel of MI and Arlene Schell of Cottonwood, AZ; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive. Mr. Davis was WWII Army veteran. Funeral Service 3:00 p.m. Monday, July 15, 1996 at BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL with Pastor Harry M. Rohwer, Jr. officiating. DIONNE, Jacqueline Ann, 51 years old, died Monday, July 8, 1996 in Tucson. Born on July 29, 1944 in Chester, PA. Survived by two sons, Arnold “Butch’ Dionne, Jr. and Robert Dionne; three daughters, Sandra (E.J.) Topping, Nancy (David) Desjardin, Katie (Paul) Garnett; brother, James Guthrie, Jr.; three sisters, Carole Lavella, Elizabeth Hanna, Nanci Levesque; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mrs. Dionne was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold G. Dionne, Sr. Services and Burial will be in Old Town, Maine. Arrangements by WOLFREY PEACE CHAPEL, 881-0338.

MCCANN, Pauline, 96 years old, died Thursday, July 11, 1996 in Tucson, AZ. Survived by cousins, Andrew (Marie) Marum of Tucson, Mary Fruik of MI, Catherine Marum, Bernadette Marum and Ann Marum, all of Tucson and Robert Furlong of Prescott, AZ. Memorial Mass for Miss McCann will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 15, 1996 at St. Cyril’s Church, 4725 E. Pima. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Cyril’s School. OVERSTREET, Rebecca Jane, 56 years old, died Thursday, July 11, 1996 in Tucson. Born on January 19, 1940 in Washington, DC. Survived by two daughters, Darlene Ann Moore of Phoenix and Mellissa Jane Overstreet of Tucson; sister, Glenda Smith of AL; two grandchildren; and ex-husband, Bobbie Overstreet. SEEMUTH, Helen H., 78, of Colorado Springs and a former Tucson resident, died July 10, 1996 in a Colorado Springs hospice residence. Survived by her husband, Joseph William Seemuth of Bear Lake, MI; daughters, Patricia A. Timerman of Fountain, CO and Susan D. Lubejko of Waupaca, WI; brothers, Harld Mummert of Fruitport, MI and Theodore Mummert of Grand Haven, MI; sister, Laverne Eggers of Rhinelander, WI; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Born February 18, 1918 in Chicago, IL, to Herman and Emilia Mummert. A member of BPOE, Bear Lake and Manistee Country Clubs, Hospital Guild, Bear Lake Women’s Club, various Bridge Clubs, life member of Austin High School Girls and Womens Club. She enjoyed golf, bridge and dancing. Memorial Service was held Friday, July 12 at 2:00 p.m. at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful’ Chapel of Roses in Colorado Springs, CO, officiant Rev. Timothy Grassinger. Private interment in Bear Lake, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to Make a Wish Foundation, 7535 E. Hampton Ave., Suite 130, Denver, CO 80231. UTCHEK, Albert F., 75, lost battle with cancer July 11, 1996. Husband of Margaret Utchek; father of Carl (Irma) Fidurski of FL, Laurie (TC) Colburn, Margie (Michael) Rohwer, all of Tucson; brother of Anne Foy of CA and Joe Utchek of OH; stepfather of Debbie (George) Knachsdet of IL, Cindy Sarkisian of CA, John (Jackie) Steadman of NC and Janet (Jim) Barnes of IL; 14 grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by a son Albert Fidurski, a sister and brother Emily Snyder and Bill Utchek. Memorial Service 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 1996 at BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway, with Pastor Harry Rohwer, Jr. officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in the memory of Albert F. Utchek to Carondelet Foundation Hospice, P. O. Box 13170, Tucson, 85732 would be appreciated.
