JURY, Delia R., 75, a resident of Tucson since 1967, passed on June 28, 1996. Born April 20, 1921 in Casa Grande, AZ. She has been a lifetime resident of Arizona. She is survived by her beloved family of four children: sons, Carlos A. Jury, Jr. and wife Wanda, Salvador Jury and wife Kristen, both of Tucson; daughters, Almah Dehlia Jury of Hayward, CA, Patricia Jury of Tucson; one sister, Alicia Valencia of Nogales, AZ; grandchildren, Carlos A. Jury III, Adam, Travis and Shelby Jury, all of Tucson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Carlos in 1975. They were married for 27 years. Mrs. Jury and her family have been parishioners of St. Cyril’s Catholic Church since 1967. A Memorial Scripture Service will be held Monday, July 1, 1996 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Cyril’s Catholic Church, 4725 E. Pima. PELAAR, Arthur, 87, of Gower, MO, formerly of Tucson, passed away Saturday, June 29, 1996 at the Gower Convalescent Center. He was born August 17, 1908 to Peter and Nellie (Zylstra) Pelaar in Kalamazoo, MI. Art grew up and attended school in Tucson, moving to Gower this year. In 1936, he was united in marriage to Doris Garrison, who preceded him in death in 1962. In 1965 he was united in marriage to Mabel Hunnemuller, who preceded him in death in 1989. He was also preceded in death by his parents, one son Gerald Pelaar in 1990 and one brother James Pelaar in 1981. Art worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad and later worked for Sears Roebuck & Co. for over 25 years, both in Tucson, retiring in 1972. He was a member of B.P.O. Elks Lodge #385 in Tucson. Art is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Fran Pelaar of Gower, MO; six grandchildren, Troy, Megaan, Matthew, Don, Dache and Sheri; five great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Lynn Hodson of Tucson; other relatives and many friends. Art enjoyed people and never met a person who didn’t like him. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, 1996 at BRING’S MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 236 S. Scott. STREICH, Raymond Daniel. As he slept in the early morning hours of June 29, 1996, Raymond Daniel Streich went peacefully to Heaven. He was born January 22, 1909 in Emporium, PA and was the youngest of nine children of Melchoir and Katherine Kehrli Streich.
He was past Chairman of Boy Scout Pack 91, and was elected in 1956 to the first five year term on the Sunnyside School Board. He retired in 1972 after 21 years of employment with Hughes Aircraft, and was a member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church.
Always the loving husband and father, he is survived by his wife of 59 years, Helen Jane Streich; one son, Kenneth Michael (Mickey) Streich; one daughter, Janet Ellen (Douglas Sr.) Bell; three grandchildren, Douglas C. Bell, Jr., David Michael Streich and Sheri (David) Himes; and one great-grandchild, David Chrystian Himes. He will also be missed by a number of nieces and nephews.
A host of friends will mourn the man who touched their lives in his caring and thoughtful way.
Memorial Services will be held July 2 at 2:00 p.m. in the Trinity Presbyterian Church Chapel. The family requests no flowers, but remembrances to the Heart Association in his name will be appreciated.

HAGGERTY, Harold F. “Bud’, 77, of Tucson, beloved husband, father, brother, grandpa and uncle, died peacefully June 27, 1996 after a recurrent bout with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Margaret; daughter, Teresa of Chandler; son, Andrew (Julie) of Peoria; three grandchildren, Jennifer, Brooke and Kyle. He also leaves behind four sisters, Kay Paultanis, Mary Daniels and Ann Lefebvre of Detroit, Margaret James of Phoenix; brother, Lee Haggerty of Detroit; 15 nephews and 17 nieces and many other friends and relatives whose lives he touched. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Rose and Andrew Haggerty. Mr. Haggerty was a decorated WWII veteran who served in the Air Force in Europe, a past president of the local chapter of the Arizona Society of Practicing Accountants. A 45 year member of the B.P.O. Fraternal Order of Elks, a charter member of the Tucson Golf League, longtime member of the Tucson Bowling Assoc., and a proud fan of the Arizona Wildcats. He was a generous, good-humored and intelligent man whose kindness, grace and wisdom will be missed by all who knew him. KERR, Thomas Howard, died on June 27, 1996 at the age of 54. Mr. Kerr was born in Morenci, AZ, on August 13, 1941. He attended Flowing Wells High School where he was an outstanding athlete, lettering in football, basketball and track. He attended the University of Arizona, graduating with a degree in Agri-business in 1965.
He was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity and served as an alumni advisor for many years. He was a member of the University track team and was the first Wildcat to break the 15 foot barrier in the pole vault event. Throughout his life, he was an avid supporter of the University of Arizona athletics.
Following graduation, Kerr worked briefly in California for Wells Fargo Bank, but soon returned to Tucson where he worked several years as an insurance agent for College Life Insurance Company of America. In the late 1960's Kerr began building custom homes in the Tucson Mountain Foothills. Over a period of more than 20 years, he built more than 100 homes, successfully producing modern lifestyle homes while preserving the peace and beauty of the desert foothills.
Kerr was preceded in death by his mother, Jackie Kerr; and is survived by his father, Thomas Hill Kerr; and uncles, Toliver Kerr, Amos and Douglas Chenowth; and aunts, Leola Kerr, Ruby Palmer, LaDorna, Irene, Ola and Frances Chenowth; and many loving cousins and friends.
