SHIRAZ, Sharon L. (nee Habeck), resident of Tucson, AZ died Saturday, June 22, 1996 at her home. Sharon (Habeck), beloved daughter of Martin W. and Frances V. Habeck, Jr., was born March 4, 1953 in Ossining Hospital. She graduated from Croton-Harmon High School in 1971. Sharon worked most recently for IBM in Tucson. Sharon is survived by her mother and father in Ossining, NY; four brothers, Martin W. Habeck III (Joyce) of Tucson, AZ, Carl E. Habeck (Robin) of N. Myrtle Beach, NC, Ted A. Habeck (Jennifer) of Wappingers Falls, NY and Glen E. Habeck (Michelle) of Aynor, SC; as well as two sisters, Sandra L. Ames (David) of Tempe, AZ and Virginia A. Law (Steve) of New Hamburg, NY; also two nieces and five nephews. She was a loving daughter and sister and will be missed by all. UMBERGER, Horace Miles, 75, died on June 6, 1996. Preceded in death by his parents, Horace J. and Elsie P. Umberger. Horace was a combat veteran of WWII and served in France and Germany with the 70th Infantry Division. After the war he graduated from the University of Pittsburgh College of Law and he also had a degree in Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh. He was a long time Tucson resident who served as a staff attorney for the Pima Country Legal Aid Society. Private interment at Evergreen Cemetery. CATON, Vernita Grace, passed away June 25, 1996 at Tucson Medical Center at the age of 78. She was born November 6, 1917, the daughter of Elmer Milam and Ruth E. King Ratliff. She was married to Vernon E. Caton March 28, 1958 in Hannibal, MO. He preceded her in death. She attended Shelbina High School and taught school for a brief period. She worked for many years in Palmyra, MO at the Court House, Farmer’s Elevator, and Cissna’s Chevrolet dealership. They moved to Tucson, AZ in 1965 where she worked for Galloway Motors for many years until her retirement. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Surviving are a nephew, Steven W. Ratliff, his wife Vicki, two daughters Amy and Stephanie, all of New London, MO; one sister-in-law, Helen Ratliff of Quincy, IL; uncles, aunts, cousins, and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Elmer K. Ratliff, and sister, Reba Virginia Ratliff. GOLDER, Kathryn Dale (Kitty), 46, of Tucson, AZ, died Tuesday, June 25, 1996. Preceded in death by her father, Lt. Col. Royal E. Manville. Beloved mother of son, Bryan P. Golder; daughter, Patricia K. Golder; mother, Esther E. Manville; brothers, Raymond A. Manville and Anthony I. (Marilyn) Manville; several cousins, aunts, uncles; her grandmother, Lenore M. Dery; and a large circle of friends. Mrs. Golder was born at Hamilton Air Force Base, CA on March 17, 1950. She moved with her family to several Air force bases throughout the west and spent nearly four years in Okinawa, Japan. She attended school at St. Joseph’s parochial school, Palo Verde High School, and the University of Arizona. She left school in 1970 to marry Donald B. Golder and worked as an escrow clerk for a title company. Her two children were the center of her life–she moved with them to Austin, Texas, where she was employed as an accounting clerk supervisor for the Secretary of State. For the past several years she was employed as a telephone secretary and more recently as a supervisor of an answering service. She was an avid reader, having studied the Holy Bible. She was also a dedicated fan of Stephen King, enjoyed target shooting and was an excellent marksman. She loved movies and music but most of all she loved her children and was a good friend to her mother and all who knew her. She will be dearly missed. HEYN, Robert A., age 69, of Tucson, died Wednesday afternoon, June 26, 1996 at the Tucson Medical Center. Robert was born August 10, 1926 in Sheboygan, WI, son of the late Hilda Leonhardt and Robert E. Heyn. He attended grade school and high school in Sheboygan, he entered the US Navy in 1944 and was honorably discharged in 1946. He married Ruth Evelyn Schmidt in 1948. He was employed by Hughes Aircraft Corp. for 17 years as a tool and die maker. He was a member of the American Legion Post 109. Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons and one daughter-in-law; three daughters and one son-in-law, Robert and Laurene Heyn of Chilton, WI, Patricia Mason of West Bend, WI, Richard Heyn of Moses Lake, WA, Sandra Heyn of Tucson, Pamela and Don Stiver of Vail, AZ and David Heyn of Tucson; a brother, Arthur Heyn of King, WI; sister, Lorraine (Howard) Mahnke of Sheboygan; seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Michael, Kevin, Mathew, Paul, Dustin and Eric; and one great-granddaughter, Kristina. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters, Karl, Eugene, Hazel and Mildred. Friends may pay their respects at Fountain of Life Lutheran Church after 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 30. LOSEY, Jerry, 52, died Friday, June 21, 1996 in Colorado. Jerry was born in Hillsdale, MI on May 9, 1944. He moved to Tucson at the age of 13. Jerry, his first wife, Sherry and their three children moved to Albuquerque in 1977 and founded Zuni Rental. Jerry was a very successful business man, he loved the outdoors and was deeply involved in Bible Study Fellowship at Hoffmantown Baptist Church. Jerry is survived by his wife, Laree Perez Losey; the mother of his children, Sherry Losey of Rockwall, TX; his one son, Gary Losey of Long Beach, CA; his two daughters, Jill Edelman of Taos, NM, and Jaime Losey of Albuquerque; three brothers, Larry Losey, Terry Losey, and Kurtis Bloodworth; three sisters, Rita Riel, Rebecca Burnas, and Linda Poppen; and one grandson, Regan Losey.
