CHAVEZ, Raul, 55, died June 25, 1996 after a long battle with cancer. He went to heaven to join his wife Dalma Chavez who died last year. He is survived by their children, William Chavez and Sheri (Todd) Richards; grandchildren, Roxanne, Jennifer, BJ, TJ and Alexandria; brothers, Victor (Nancy) Chavez, Juan (Angie) Chavez; sister, Enedina (Pete) Aguilar; mother, Ramona Chavez; brothers-in-law, William Johnson (Donna), Carl Johnson; also survived by many nieces and nephews. His children would like to thank those relatives and friends whose love and kindness will never be forgotten in our parents time of need. We were blessed to have had such loving parents.

FINK, Lucille E., 97, of Tucson, died June 26, 1996. Born in 1898 in Glenhaven, WI, she was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Zera S. Fink. She is survived by one daughter, Carlotta Bogart of Santa Fe, NM; three grandchildren, Virginia Lehrling of Tucson, Kenneth R. Bogart of Knoxville, TN and James E. Bogart of Mt. Juliet, TN; three great-grandsons, Eric, Adam and Nick Lehrling of Tucson; and one great-great-grandson, Luke Lehrling of Tucson. MILLER, Charles E., Lt. Ret. Army born August 26, 1918 in South Bend, Indiana and went to the Lord on June 25, 1996. A decorated veteran of WWII and Vietnam. Preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Vivian, and his son Charles Russell, a casualty of Vietnam. A loving father who will be greatly missed by his 14 surviving children, Joseph (Barbara), Constance, Jill (Wes), Mark (Barbara), Laura (Chuck), Elaine (Bruce), Paul, Jean (Fred), Andy, Fred, Philip (Virginia), Kathryn (Reid), Lisa (Scott) and Dolores; 38 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. MOORE, Joseph, C.S/Sgt, (Retired), age 64, of Tucson, passed June 20, 1996. Survived by Loving Wife of over 40 years, Dorothy Inez Moore of Tucson; children – John L. Howard of GA, Charles H. Berthea, Joseph C. Moore, Jr, Anthony W. Moore, Dennis R. Moore, Jennifer L. Moore-Morias, all of Tucson; 18 grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends. S/Sgt. Moore served in Vietnam and retired from the United States Air Force with over 20 years of service. He received the Purple Heart and many Air Force accommodations for his tours in Vietnam. AVINA, Solomon, 86, of Tucson, died June 25, 1996. Survived by wife, Esperanza of Tucson with whom he would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in July this year; daughters, Consuelo Davis of Tucson and Alice A. BOSWELL, Jack Patrick, died June 21, 1996 in his home at the age of 72. Survived by children, Michelle Stampsler, Troy Boswell, Nikki Stefanovich of Tucson and Kelly Montano and son-in-law, Dan Montano of Seattle; and six grandchildren. Jack retired from Rincon High School after 25 years of teaching speech, debate and English. At Jack’s request, no services will be held.
CANTRELL, Leo John, son of John and Anna Metzroth Cantrall, died June 23, 1996 at home. Leo was an avid Nascar/Winter Cup racing fan. Also an Atlanta Braves, Chicago Cubs, and Chicago Bulls fan. He will be missed by his many animal companions. HOLT, David B., 37, passed away June 23, 1996 at the University Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona. He had suffered from a long term illness. He is preceded in death by his father, Wilfred Holt, who passed away in 1985. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy C. Holt of North Jay; his grandmother, Viola Thurlow; aunt, Roxie Black; several other aunts and uncles, cousins; friend, Jack Lewis; as well as many co-workers and friends in Tucson. He was a member of the Henderson Memorial Baptist Church. He attended Mt. Blue High School, graduating in 1976. While in High School he spent a semester in France during his senior year. He was an accomplished pianist and played trumpet in the band. He graduated from Western Michigan University with a B.A. Magna Cum Laude. For several years he lived in Springfield, VA, working at Stevenson Printing Company. In 1990, he moved to Tucson where he was employed with American Airlines as an Advantage Reservationist. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to The Memorial Fund, c/o Henderson Memorial Baptist Church, 2 Academy St., P.O. Box 147, Farmington, Maine 04938. Services and burial were held in Maine.
