HILLMAN, Albert W. “Woodie”, 78, of Tucson, died August 11, 1996. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Alice Marie; sons, Richard and William of Tucson; sister, Jane Greene of Prescott; grandchildren, Elizabeth Mask of Dallas and Richard Hillman of Tucson; and five great-grandchildren. Woodie was born in La Grange, TX. and was a long time resident of Arizona, residing in Phoenix and Tucson since 1920. Woodie was a horseman and cowboy in his youth. Later, he became a military aircraft mechanic and worked his way up to a series of management positions in various US Air Force aircraft repair and maintenance facilities, during a 38 year career in Civil Service that included assignments in Morocco, England, France and Germany. Woodie was a member of the Masons, The Air Force Association, and The National Rifle Association. He loved his wife, family, dogs, horses and Arizona. He will be missed very much by all who knew him. Memorial Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 16, 1996 at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Following the services a reception will be held at the Hillman residence.

LEEMAN, Adelaide H., 67. Loving wife, mother, and grandmother. NICKEL, John H., 56, of Tucson, died August 12, 1996. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Sherry; daughters, Kelly (Alan) Focke of Wichita Falls, TX and Rachelle (Jeff) Morrison of Colby, KS; three grandchildren, Shannon and Kelsey Focke and Jaden Morrison; mother, Lena Nickel of Oakley, KS; five sisters and two brothers; and his father and mother-in-law, Lewis and Mildred Lewallen of Oakley, KS and Tucson, AZ. He was preceded in death by his father, Arnold and his mother-in-law Joyce Lewallen. John was employed by Sahuarita School District as Director of Maintenance. SCOTT, Kay (Kaysie), passed into the Life Eternal on August 11, 1996. She was 71 years of age and, with her husband, Lee, had lived in Tucson since July, 1958. Their oldest daughter, Nancy, lives in Seattle and teaches Special Ed. Their youngest daughter, Sue, lives in Minneapolis, is in theater and radio, and was recently married. Their son, David, died in 1981 while a senior at the U of A. Kay's brother, John, lives in Naples, FL. Kay was loved and respected by many as she, in very special ways, blessed them with her love and support. A graduate of Northwestern University, Kay was an elementary school teacher in her early years. Stricken with rheumatoid arthritis at age 29, she continued to be active in volunteer activities through her church, the St. Mary's Auxiliary and (more recently) the Holy Family Care Center. For the past several years she also provided reading support with children through Drachman and Tolson Elementary Schools. For over 10 years Kay was a “patient instructor” at the U of A's College of Medicine, and for several years served as a unit leader with the League of Women Voters. She enjoyed people, flowers, color, music, prayer, news and the life and activities of her family and friends. Life's circumstances were not always easy for Kay, but she persisted and overcame' with a deep trust in the grace of our Lord! She looked forward to, and sought to help others prepare for, the Life Beyond. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, August 15, 3:00 p.m., at the First United Methodist Church, (between Park and Tyndall at 4th St.). BEEMAN, Clarence H., 83, of Coolidge, died August 9, 1996, at the Central Arizona Medical Center in Florence. He is survived by his wife, Ruth of Coolidge; children, Robert (Ruby) of Morrisville, VT, Roland (Barbara) of Casa Grande, Patricia (Beeman) Morton of Arizona City, Richard Beeman of Yuma and Pamela (Beeman) (Larry) Droney of Morrisville, VT; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Faith (Wesley) Cieslak and Mark Nelson of Mesa; and two step grandchildren; brother, Earle Beeman of Loma Linda, CA; and sisters, Luella Gabree of Hartford, VT, Gladys Gary of Morrisville, Vt and numerous nieces and nephews. His first wife, Alice (Ayer) Beeman and brothers, Clinton and Harold and sister, Mildred Chase preceded him in death. Mr. Beeman was born April 28, 1913 in Hyde Park, VT. KAY, Dr. Morton, 80, long time resident of Tucson, died August 11, 1996. Dr. Kay devoted much of his time to community service, was member of Tucson Breakfast Lions Club. Dr. Kay received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Illinois College of Optometry. As a captain in the U.S. Air Force, he was a pilot during WWII. Survived by son, Jeffrey S. (Deborah) Kay, M.D; daughters, Elaine Kay, R.N., and Naomi Kay; all of Tucson, six grandchildren; brother, Irv (Lu) Sigman of San Diego, CA.
