She is survived by her cousin, Virginia Menke; sisters-in-law, Hilda Drake, Betty Drake, Margaret Drake Schaffer; 11 nieces and nephews. At her request there will be no services. HALUCK, Mary, 85, of Tucson, died November 9, 1996. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA, November 1, 1911 and resided there until 1961. Mary lived in Tucson for 35 years. She is survived by her daughter, Irene (Gene) Ross of Tucson; five grandchildren, Todd, Troy, and Geno Ross of Tucson, and Kim Petty and Teri Rodi of Pittsburgh; four great-grandchildren, Marissa and Matthew Petty and Kayla and Ronnie Rodi, all of Pittsburgh. HELBIG, Charlotte H., age 97, a resident of Tucson since 1924, passed away November 7, 1996. Born August 30, 1899 in Portland, Oregon. Mrs. Helbig was a 66 year member of the American Legion, Morgan McDermott Unit #7, Unit President in 1943, State President from 1949 to 1950. National Executive Committee Woman 1950 to 1951. Department Secretary during the 1950's. Unit Treasurer for 20 years. Chairwoman of Scholarship Committee for 10 years. Chairwoman for Girls State for five years. She became an Honorary Lifetime Member in 1971. Joined Eastern Star in Palo Alto, California in 1923 and joined Tucson Chapter #2 on March 16, 1937. Mother Advisor of the Rainbow girls during the 1940's. She is survived by her daughters, Doris (Ray) Ruman and Shirley (Don) Ameling; grandson, Nick Ruman; granddaughters, Valerie Ruman, Charlotte Haskell, Susan (Kurt) Luedtke, Kathryn and Barbara Haskell; great-grandchildren, Louisa Haskell, Hallette Luedtke and Lorena Ruman. A visitation will be held Tuesday, November 12, 1996 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY, 5401 S. Park Ave.Funeral Service 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY CHAPEL. KAUFMAN, Paul C., 76, of Tucson, died Sunday, November 10, 1996. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Helen; sons, Bob (Barbi) Kaufman, Dave Kaufman; grandchildren, Lisa Kaufman, Scott Kaufman, Mary Ellen Sharits, Paul R. Kaufman, Jeff Holt; great-grandchildren, Richard Holt, Breanna Sharits; sister, Margaret Smith. Mr. Kaufman was a World War II Army Veteran and was owner and operator of Supreme Cleaners. LACY, Ethelyn, 85, homemaker, passed away Saturday, November 9, 1996 after a brief residency at Park Villa Convalescent Center. Mrs. Lacy was born on April 11, 1911 to Jerry and Mary Elizabeth (nee Bonner) Moore in Kaufman, Texas. She moved to Tucson, Arizona in 1939. On November 28, 1942, she married N. L. 'Mike' Lacy and shared a loving household with him until he passed away on July 16, 1968. Mrs. Lacy was a long time member of Phillips Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, where she served many years as stewardess and chairperson of the the board of stewardesses. Until the recent past, she was a member of Pilgrim Rest Temple 377, I.B.P.O.E.W. and of the Order of Eastern Star, PHA. Surviving Mrs. Lacy are: daughter, Brenda (Rev. Jarvis) Johnson and grandson, William Lee Jarvis Johnson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; daughter, Irene Middleton of Dallas, Texas and granddaughters, Beverly, Delores and Marsha Kay; sister, Thelma (William) Gross; and brother, Jerry (Mabel) Moore II, both of Tucson, Arizona; nephews, Harold Lewis of Los Angeles, California, Jerry Moore III of Phoenix, Arizona and David Moore of Augusta, Georgia; nieces, Cheryl (Harvey) Eddington and Lynn (James) Hanson, both of Bakersfield, California; grandson, Kevin Johnson of Tucson, Arizona; esteemed family, Alice Smith, Frank Morris, Patsy Waterfall and Jane Hewitt Heffleman, all of Tucson, Arizona; 10 great-grandchildren and other family and friends. MARLOW, Herman F., 87, born February 13, 1909 in Herrin, IL, died November 10, 1996. Survived by Jennie, his wife of 61 years; daughters, Dee Sommer and Sr.Joanne Marlow, D.C.; son, H. F. Marlow, Jr.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. SEWELL, Ruth Porter, 102, of Tucson, died Saturday, November 9, 1996. She was preceded in death by her husband, W.Arthur 'Prof' Sewell. Mrs. Sewell was a member of the First Christian Church, the O.E.S Arizona Chapter #2, the Tucson Woman’s Club, the Pima County Retired Teacher’s Assoc., the General Federation of Women and an Assoc. member of Salvation Army. Private Graveside Services were held at East Lawn Palms Cemetery. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 14, 1996 at First Christian Church, 740 E. VOHLERS, Helen Teresa, 90, died November 6, 1996. She was preceded in death by her husband, John. H. Vohlers. Mother of John F. (Beatrice) Vohlers of Tucson, A. Joseph (Margy) Vohlers of FL and Winifred (John) Masterson of CO; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive. BINGHAM, Glen Lamar, 73, of San Manuel, died Thursday, November 7, 1996. He was a cattle rancher and a grandson of the pioneer family that settled Binghampton in Tucson in the late 1800's. He is survived by beloved wife of 54 years, Dorothy; children, Deryl (Sharon), Glenna (Jim) Hablutzel, Doug(Karen), Jim (Linda), Janet (David) White and Lydia (Leonard) Holcombe; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Norman (Audrey), Keith (LaVelle) and Dale (Darlene); sisters, Velma (Osmond) Jones and Arlene (Lavelle) Haymore; and many other family and friends.
