STEWART, Donovan 'Don', born March 5, 1903, died October 26, 1996. Survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Blanche and daughters, Sandy Karolczyk and Nancy Belian (Charles); eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Don was one of the six original foundation members changing Arizona State Teachers College to Arizona State University. The foundation also brought public television to AZ. He was instrumental in developing the Dairy Industry in AZ as a livestock loan officer of the First National Bank. He was an Arizona State Representative for ten years and a life long member of the American Legion and Masonic Lodge. Date pending for Memorial Service. Memorial donations to Square & Compass Children’s Clinic, 2600 N. Wyatt, Tucson, 85712.

WRIGHT, Lester “Jerry' F., 80, died October 25, 1996. Survived by his wife Hazel Wright; children, Allan, Ira (Lisa), Rick and Pat (Leslie) Wright, Rosetta (Arlan) Wentzel, Donna (Roger) Shelton, Cheryl (Ed) Gallick, Wendy (Bob) Smith, Jane (Lavone) Thompson and Shirley Nanos. Also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Friends may call 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 28, 1996 at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 E. DeCIANCIO, Vincent J., passed away October 24, 1996. Vincent, born December 11, 1908 in Pittsburgh, lived most of his life in Sharon, PA. He resided in Tucson from 1950-1973 where he retired from Hughes Aircraft. He returned to Tucson in 1995 to be with his son and grandchildren, who were blessed to share in the final year of his life. Vincent was preceded in death by Columbia, his wife of 62 years, and is survived by his loving son, James V. (Mary Kate); and grandchildren, Douglas (Beth), James M. (Bernice), Joel (Katie Viljak) and Janet (Bruce) Herman. He is also survived by sister, Frances Coletta; and brothers, Alex and John, all of PA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Vincent was a kind and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and his love, wit and wisdom will remain always in the hearts of his family and friends. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 1:00 p.m. at EVERGREEN MORTUARY & CEMETERY, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile, with visitation at 12:00 p.m. Dr. Richard F. Rowley, retired minister of Northminster Presbyterian Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to Southern Arizona Hospice Memorial Foundation, 4330 N. FUNK, Ronald E., passed away on October 22, 1996. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Jean Funk; He is survived by two daughters, Patricia (Don) Harders and Bonnie (Wes) Helzer; and six grandchildren. KING, James V., 75, died October 24, 1996. Survived by his wife, Mildred King; daughter, Michelle Ann King; sister, Elizabeth Eller. James served his country for over 38 years, the last 20 years before his retirement in 1987 had been spent with the Civil Service, Strategic Communication Command at Ft. Huachuca Army Base. MALBON, John, 80, died October 24, 1996. Survived by his wife, Ruth Malbon; daughters, Paula Sims and Iris Harpster; son, John P. MURCHISON, Ross P., 50, went to be with the Lord October 24, 1996. Born November 18, 1945, in Joliet, Ill. He was a Tucson resident for 23 years. He fought a courageous battle with cancer. He was associated with Pop Warner Football (Scorpions) for many years. He is survived by his mother, June E. Murchison; father, John A.Murchison; brothers, Richard L., John A., Robert K. (Angie) and Bruce P. (Priscilla) Murchison; sister, Cindy J. Murchison and many nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins. He was loved by many. He was a U.S. Army WWII Veteran and recipient of Bronze Star. He was an avid golfer, bridge player, pool and shuffle board player. BARCHFIELD, Winifred C., 83, died Friday, October 18, 1996 in Tucson, AZ. Preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Carl Frederic. She was born on June 6, 1913 in East Orange, NJ, the daughter of Herbert Henshaw Christophersen and Jessie Heywood Christophersen. After graduating from East Orange High School, she attended Traphagen Institute and The Parsons School of Design. She worked as a designer of children’s clothing in New York City for several years. On October 2, 1936 she married Carl Barchfield at Christ Church in East Orange, NJ. Mrs. Barchfield is survived by her children, Nancy B. (Edwin) Kay of Tucson, Elizabeth B. (David) Lutton of Manhattan Beach, CA, Carl F. (Sherry) Barchfield of Lighthouse Point, FL, and Richard D. Barchfield of Tucson; grandchildren, Emily Kay of San Diego, CA, Gregory Kay of Tucson, Christine L. (David) Foster of New York City, Matthew Lutton of Manhattan Beach, CA, Amanda Barchfield of Lighthouse Point, FL, Jennifer and Vanessa Barchfield of Tucson; and step-granddaughter, Kimberlee Felton-Evans of Houston. Private services and inurnment were held on October 22, 1996 in Tucson.

CHASE, Robert L., 58, of Tucson, AZ, died Tuesday, October 22, 1996 in Veterans Hospital. He was born September 3, 1938 in Dokalb, Illinois. The son of Robert and Lavenia (Harris) Chase. He is survived by his wife, Mary E. Chase of Tucson, AZ; two children, daughter, Brenda A. Chase of Tucson, AZ and son, Wayne L. Chase and his wife, Lisa of Willcox, AZ; plus two grandchildren, Talbert and Travis Chase; two sisters, Patricia and Marjorie both of Tucson, AZ. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Graveside Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 1, 1996 at the South Lawn Cemetery in Tucson, AZ.

DIBBELL, Robert A., Col. USAF, Ret., died Thursday, October 17, 1996 in El Dorado Hospital. Beloved husband of Betty Dibbell, devoted father of Barbara A. Montgomery of CA, Leslie Susan, John (Kay) of WA.Cherished grandfather of Thomas Robert Alexander Montgomery, Emily Rose Montgomery and Antonia Louise Montgomery and David Christian (Gelu) Kay. Dear brother of Charles M. Dibbell of PA. Preceded in death by his son, Robert Alexander (Chipper) Dibbell. Mr. Dibbell proudly served in the United States Air Force for 31 years before retiring as a full Colonel. He saw action in WWII, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He also served with the 55th Strategic Reconnaissance Wing, a pilot, squadron leader, detachment commander with the Dept. of Defense of the Pentagon. After his retirement he remained active at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base by serving as a volunteer in many different capacities. A Funeral Service was held in Chapel 1 at the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22, 1996. Visitation was also held at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in the Chapel Annex from 11:00 a.m. until service time. BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway are in charge of the arrangements.

DISHON, James Omar, 80, of Green Valley, died October 22, 1996. Loving father of children, Susan Secrest of Phoenix, Mary Beth Taylor of FL, James S. Dishon of Tucson. Also survived by stepchildren, Robert Mason of TX, William Mason of GA, Mary Kelley of Tucson; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces and other loving family members. Mr. Dishon, born in Logan, Iowa, was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star and worked for REA Express for 37 years. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, October 26, 1996, 1:00 p.m., Pueblo Estates Recreation Center, Green Valley, AZ.

ENRIQUEZ, Maria L., 58, of Tucson, passed away October 24, 1996. Survived by husband, Francisco Enriquez; mother, Nellie Lauterio; son, Enrique (Marisa) Enriquez; grandsons, Enrique Jr, Manuel and Gabriel Enriquez. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 27, 1996 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at TUCSON MORTUARY, (North Chapel), 204 S. FLORES, Gregory F. Sr., 38, of Tucson, died October 19, 1996. Survivors include his wife, Lillian; children, Floyd, Eric, Gregory Jr, Derek, Nathaniel; his mother, Sarafina; brothers and sisters. Gregory served with the U.S. Marines. He was employed by Catalina Heights Nursery for six years. KINNEY, James C. USAF Ret., 77, died in Tucson, October 22, 1996. He is survived by his wife, Martha; two daughters, Sibylle Carlson and Jane Larrabee; and his brothers family, Alfred, and Joan Kinney of Yuba City, CA; one niece, one nephew, three grandchildren and three grand nephews also survive. BECKER, Minnie Wiencrot, of Tucson, passed away October 22, 1996. She was preceded in death by Joseph David Wiencrot and Dr. Albert Becker. Born in New York City, she later resided in Stamford, CT, Bal Harbor, FL and Tucson. She was a business woman, President of the Hebrew Ladies Educational League, dedicated volunteer for American Red Cross and Stamford Hospital. She was honored as Tucson’s Woman of Valor Brandeis National Woman’s Committee as well as an artist and crafts person. She leaves children, Rhoda (Dr. Maerit) Kallet of Tucson, Bernice 'Neeci' (Dr. Arnold) Goldenberg of West Hartford, CT; stepson, Dr. David (Lois) Becker of NYC, NY; grandchildren, Gail (Gary) Tasky, Andrew (Diane) Kallet, John (Debra) Goldenberg, Emily (Adam) Weiss; step-grandchildren, Dan (Martha) Becker, Sue Becker; great-grandchildren, Rachel and Naomi Tasky, Sally Kallet, Zachary Goldenberg; step-great-grandchildren, Lila, Naomi, Zoe and Jesse Becker; and many beloved nieces and nephews. CINQUEMANI, Martin E., 78, died October 22, 1996. Brother of Peter (Faye) Cinquemani of Tucson and Phil Cinquemani of NY; many nieces and nephews also survive. He was a member of the American Legion Post #36, Paralyzed Veterans of America, life member of DAV. He was 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus and S/Sgt in the US Army. Mass will be offered 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 25 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 1375 S. Camino Seco, with Father Robert Tamminga officiating. Interment to follow at Our Lady of the Desert Cemetery with full military honors by Ft. Huachuca Post Honor Guard.
