FRAKES, Donald Ilo, 84, of Tucson, passed away in Phoenix, Arizona on October 22, 1996. Mr. Frakes was a native of Webster City, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his wife, Loretto M. Frakes and his son, Robert R. Frakes. Mr. Frakes was past president of the Tucson Downtown Lions Club, past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus and former Assistant Manager of the Tucson International Airport. Mr. Frakes is survived by his children, Patricia A. (Joseph) Verwiel of Fullerton, CA, Michael (Cecilia) Frakes of Phoenix, AZ and Kathryn (Thomas) Neukom of Minneapolis, MN; daughter-in-law, Ann Frakes of Tucson; 14 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. MALDONADO, Robert R., 73, of Tucson, passed away October 22, 1996. He is survived by his wife, Carmen. Robert and Carmen had just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on October 16. He is also survived by daughter, Leticia and her husband, Ernesto Aguirre; son, Larry and his wife Mary Maldonado; eight grandchildren; three sisters; and two brothers. Mr.Maldonado was born and raised in Tombstone, AZ. He served for 20 years in the U.S. Air Force serving in Europe, Korea and Japan. He was preceded in death by son, Robert in 1993. MUSSER, Charles 'Moose' Curtis. My beloved dad Charles C. Musser, 70, died October 21, 1996 at St. Joseph’s Hospice after a valiant battle with liver cancer. He was born June 12, 1926 in Peoria, Illinois to Lucile C. Musser and Curtis Musser. Served in the Marines and retired from the Air Force, was also a life member of the V.F.W. #549. He was married to my mom, Dixie Louise Grow, later divorced. He was an excellent chef all his life, and was known for S.O.S., loved a good game of golf, and was the Chicago Cubs #1 fan. His friends were numerous. I want to express a very special thanks to Tek and Bill Au for their unconditional support and love for 'Moose'. He is survived by me, his only child, Nanci Louise Musser Kummer (Keith); and granddaughter, Nicole Danielle Lloyd of Centerville, Utah; his sisters, JoAn Kobisk, Elizabeth A. Musser and Irma C. Beames, all of Clearwater, Florida. Also several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by mother and father. Graveside Services will be held Friday, October 25, at 1:00 p.m. at South Lawn.

DIBBELL, Robert A., Col. USAF, Ret., died Thursday, October 17, 1996 in El Dorado Hospital. Beloved husband of Betty Dibbell, devoted father of Barbara A. Montgomery of CA, Leslie Susan, John (Kay) of WA. Cherished grandfather of Thomas Robert Alexander Montgomery, Emily Rose Montgomery and Antonia Louise Montgomery and David Christian (Gelu) Kay. Dear brother of Charles M. Dibbell of PA. Preceded in death by his son, Robert Alexander (Chipper) Dibbell. Mr. Dibbell proudly served in the United States Air Force for 31 years before retiring as a full Colonel. He saw action in WWII, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He also served with the 55th Strategic Reconnaissance Wing, a pilot, squadron leader, detachment commander with the Dept. of Defense of the Pentagon. After his retirement he remained active at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base by serving as a volunteer in many different capacities. A Funeral Service was held in Chapel 1 at the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22, 1996. Visitation was also held at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in the Chapel Annex from 11:00 a.m. until service time. BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway are in charge of the arrangements.

MURRAY, Helen Wells, 85, of Tucson, died Sunday, October 20, 1996, after a long illness. She is survived by her grandson, Chad Carter and Shirley Whitaker. Mrs.Murray was preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. Murray and her daughter, Mary Carter. She was a member of Temple Emanu-El in Tucson. Helen was a tireless volunteer for several community agencies. She will be missed by all who loved her, especially Blackie. Burial will be at Roseland Memorial Gardens, Jackson, Michigan.
