HENRY, William Leland, 81, of Tucson, died Sunday, December 15, 1996. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Henry, in 1983. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Esther; brother, Ragean Henry of North Judson, IN; sister, Kathryn Trio of Modesto, CA. Mr. Henry retired from Hughes Aircraft in 1979 after 27 years of service. He was a member of of the International Assoc. of Machinists & Aerospace Workers, Lodge 933. Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18, 1996, at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.

KEMPER, Barbara G., 49, died December 15, 1996. Survived by her mother, Genilla Kemper. Friends may call Tuesday, December 17, 1996, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Funeral services and burial will be in Warrenton, VA.

MEDINGER, Joseph Leo, 84, of San Antonio, died Saturday, December 14, 1996. He held college degrees in Engineering (BS) from New Mexico State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from the University of Oklahoma. Mr. Medinger retired as a practicing architect in 1985, while living in Tucson, AZ. Survivors: wife, Mary Medinger; son, Joe D. Medinger; daughter-in-law, Sue Medinger, both of Universal City, TX; granddaughter, Sally Medinger-Fallaha and her husband, Ammar; great-granddaughter, Hannah Medinger, all of San Antonio; brother, Henry Medinger of Salem, OR; sister, Mary Harrington, La Mesa, NM.

PEYTON, Lynne L., 93, of Tucson, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 1996. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; son, William; and daughter, Lorilee. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Elizabeth; grandchildren, William (Terry) Peyton of Columbus, OH, Shari (Dan) Treiber, and Donald Peyton, both of Tucson; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Mrs. Peyton was born in Cantril, IA in 1903. She moved to Tucson in 1925 where she met and married Frank A. Peyton. She was actively involved in Tucson Real Estate and along with her son, William D. Peyton, owned a local real estate firm. She was a longtime member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Arizona Chapter #2, O.E.S. and P.E.O. Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 on Wednesday, December 18, 1996 at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 400 E. University. ROBLES, JIMMY G., 47 years old, was born on February 20, 1996 in Roswell, New Mexico, passed away December 13, 1996 at Tucson Medical Center. Preceded in death by his father, Anastacio A. Robles; survived by mother, Onofre Robles of Roswell, NM; three brothers, Anastacio (Donna) Robles, Jr. of Semi Valley, CA, Tony (Lila) Robles, Gerald Robles, both of Roswell NM; three sisters, Mary Duran of Roswell, NM, Betty (Felix) Trevino of Hobbs, NM, Yolanda (Eddie) Ramirez of Tucson, AZ; fiancee Aura Marina Velasquez and son, Edgar C., of Tucson, AZ; three sons, Steve (Ruby) Robles of Las Cruces, NM, Anselmo (Jamie) Chavez Robles of Roswell, NM, Jaymes Robles of Roswell, NM; one grandson and two granddaughters, numerous nieces and nephews. Rosary will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 1996 7:00 p.m. at 1635 S. Avenida Carolina. Memorial Services will be on Saturday, December 21, 1996 at Ballard Funeral Home, Roswell, NM. SPEARS, Suzanne. Funeral Services for Suzanne Spears, 49 years old, of Elmo, Utah, will be held Wednesday, December 18, 1996 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Elmo. Suzanne was born in Klamath Falls, OR. She attended elementary school in Oregon and in San Manuel, Arizona. She graduated from San Manuel High School. She also attended Eastern Arizona Jr. College in Thatcher. She was a lifelong member of the LDS Church. She is survived by her husband, David Spears; three sons, Brian of Wellington, UT and Bob and Zachary of Elmo; five daughters, Leanne of Mesa, Brook Lyn of Taylorsville, IL, Melissa, Elizabeth and Vanessa of Elmo; and seven grandchildren. Her mother Aurora Eagar and late father Robert Eagar are from Eagar, AZ but lived many years in San Manuel. She is also survived by two brothers, Steve and Ronald Eagar, both of Tucson; and sister, Lorraine Nelson of Casa Grande.

WADDLE, Margaret G., born March 28, 1903 in Bloomington, Illinois, died peacefully December 16, 1996 in Tucson, AZ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon; and her son, Gilbert. She is survived by her loving family, son, John (Jean); grandchildren, Lori (Marshall), Denise Gail (Chris), Brian (Linda), Denise Lynn (Cameron), Gary, Matthew, and Mark; seven great-grandchildren; plus loving friend Katie Gross. Memorial Service will be held at Tanque Verde Lutheran Church, Saturday, December 21, at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be at South Lawn Memorial Park. BRIGGS, Pauline Marie, died Friday, December 13, 1996 at the age of 82. She is survived by her brother, Martin Bartels of Illinois; her sister, Dorothy Emler of Ohio; her son, Barrett (Malinda), her daughters, Karen Dodson (Bob) and Karla Briggs, all of Tucson; four grandchildren, Rodney Meek (Roberta), Karleen Meek, and Lauren Briggs, all of Tucson, and Joanne Hass (Frank) of Albuquerque; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati Nursing Program and served in the United States Army during World War II. She retired as Head Nurse of the Renal Transplant Unit of the Veterans’ Administration Hospital in 1975. She was a member of the Lionesses and of Jacob’s Jesters. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 1996 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at EVERGREEN MORTUARY, 3015 N. Oracle Rd. Visitation will also be held at Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church, 200 E. Yavapai, on Wednesday, December 18, 1996 at noon prior to the Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to the Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church Building Fund.

HERRING, Morris Allen Jr., was born in Tucson January 4, 1963 and died December 13, 1996. He is survived by his daughter, Ashley Joan; his parents, Morris and Patricia Herring; his brothers and their wives, Conrad and Crystal, Rafael and Elizabeth; a niece, Staci; a nephew, Nicolas; several aunts and uncles and cousins. A Memorial Mass in celebration of his life will be offered December 17 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 5150 N. Valley View Road, 85718, with Father Todd O’Leary officiating. LOHR, Criselia, 79, 55-yr Arizona resident, died December 12, 1996. Born in Capulin, CO. Survived by two brothers, Raymond (Sophia) Martinez of Montrose, CO; and Jesse (Della) Martinez of Vallejo, CA; two sisters, Elsie Cordova of Pueblo, CO; and Mela (Fred) Pena of Monte Vista, CO; five children, Richard (Darla) Lohr of Payson; Frank Lohr of Casa Grande; Margaret (Tim) Sisson of Vacaville, CA; Carolyn (Rick) Pyde of Tempe; and Charles (Grace) Lohr of Tucson; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

MARKS, Mary Robin, was born in Washington, D.C. in 1949 and died December 14, 1996 from complications of a long term illness. She had been a resident of Tucson since 1961. She attended Valley School for Girls and the U of A. She was a mental health counselor with specialization in chronic illness and addiction. Robin used her own experience of pain and suffering to help many people heal. Her never ending joy of life was an inspiration that will sustain all of us who loved her. Robin is survived by many beloved friends who have shared her life intimately and her adoring family, her mother Veronique Marks; sisters, Diane Meader and Linda Marks; brother, Andrew Marks; nieces and nephews, Morgan and Melissa Meader, Rachel and James Parse, Navina, Tivra, Jaya and Keli Marks. She will be loved and remembered forever. Contributions can be made to the charity of your choice in Robin’s name. OLD, Mabel, 92, of Tucson, died December 13, 1996. Survivors include: niece, Fran Cain of Washington, Colleen Brown, Houston, Texas. Ms. Old was born February, 18, 1904 in Leechburg, Penn. She was preceded in death by her husband, George, five years ago. She has been a resident of Tucson for the past 14 years moving here from Florida. Mass will be at St. Cyril’s Catholic Church, December 18, 1996 at 9:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at Holy Hope Mausoleum.
