HENRY, William Leland, 81, of Tucson, died Sunday, December 15, 1996. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Henry, in 1983. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Esther; brother, Ragean Henry of North Judson, IN; sister, Kathryn Trio of Modesto, CA. Mr. Henry retired from Hughes Aircraft in 1979 after 27 years of service. He was a member of of the International Assoc. of Machinists & Aerospace Workers, Lodge 933. MEDINGER, Joseph Leo, 84, of San Antonio, died Saturday, December 14, 1996. He held college degrees in Engineering (BS) from New Mexico State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from the University of Oklahoma. Mr. Medinger retired as a practicing architect in 1985, while living in Tucson, AZ. Survivors: wife, Mary Medinger; son, Joe D. PEYTON, Lynne L., 93, of Tucson, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 1996. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; son, William; and daughter, Lorilee. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Elizabeth; grandchildren, William (Terry) Peyton of Columbus, OH, Shari (Dan) Treiber, and Donald Peyton, both of Tucson; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Mrs. Peyton was born in Cantril, IA in 1903. She moved to Tucson in 1925 where she met and married Frank A. Peyton. She was actively involved in Tucson Real Estate and along with her son, William D. Peyton, owned a local real estate firm. She was a longtime member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Arizona Chapter #2, O.E.S. and P.E.O. SPEARS, Suzanne. Funeral Services for Suzanne Spears, 49 years old, of Elmo, Utah, will be held Wednesday, December 18, 1996 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Elmo. Suzanne was born in Klamath Falls, OR. She attended elementary school in Oregon and in San Manuel, Arizona. She graduated from San Manuel High School. She also attended Eastern Arizona Jr. College in Thatcher. She was a lifelong member of the LDS Church. She is survived by her husband, David Spears; three sons, Brian of Wellington, UT and Bob and Zachary of Elmo; five daughters, Leanne of Mesa, Brook Lyn of Taylorsville, IL, Melissa, Elizabeth and Vanessa of Elmo; and seven grandchildren. Her mother Aurora Eagar and late father Robert Eagar are from Eagar, AZ but lived many years in San Manuel. She is also survived by two brothers, Steve and Ronald Eagar, both of Tucson; and sister, Lorraine Nelson of Casa Grande.
WADDLE, Margaret G., born March 28, 1903 in Bloomington, Illinois, died peacefully December 16, 1996 in Tucson, AZ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon; and her son, Gilbert. She is survived by her loving family, son, John (Jean); grandchildren, Lori (Marshall), Denise Gail (Chris), Brian (Linda), Denise Lynn (Cameron), Gary, Matthew, and Mark; seven great-grandchildren; plus loving friend Katie Gross. BRIGGS, Pauline Marie, died Friday, December 13, 1996 at the age of 82. She is survived by her brother, Martin Bartels of Illinois; her sister, Dorothy Emler of Ohio; her son, Barrett (Malinda), her daughters, Karen Dodson (Bob) and Karla Briggs, all of Tucson; four grandchildren, Rodney Meek (Roberta), Karleen Meek, and Lauren Briggs, all of Tucson, and Joanne Hass (Frank) of Albuquerque; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati Nursing Program and served in the United States Army during World War II. She retired as Head Nurse of the Renal Transplant Unit of the Veterans’ Administration Hospital in 1975. She was a member of the Lionesses and of Jacob’s Jesters. MARKS, Mary Robin, was born in Washington, D.C. in 1949 and died December 14, 1996 from complications of a long term illness. She had been a resident of Tucson since 1961. She attended Valley School for Girls and the U of A. She was a mental health counselor with specialization in chronic illness and addiction. Robin used her own experience of pain and suffering to help many people heal. Her never ending joy of life was an inspiration that will sustain all of us who loved her. Robin is survived by many beloved friends who have shared her life intimately and her adoring family, her mother Veronique Marks; sisters, Diane Meader and Linda Marks; brother, Andrew Marks; nieces and nephews, Morgan and Melissa Meader, Rachel and James Parse, Navina, Tivra, Jaya and Keli Marks.
