LOUD, Wilbur Warren, was born October 4, 1926 in Lawton, Oklahoma and died March 5, 1997. His love of flying led to spending more than 20 years as a pilot in the USAF. After retirement he worked for the Arizona Veteran Service Commission. He is survived by his wife, June; son, Mark Anders Loud; daughters, Kathryn C. (Greg) Campbell and Heather Anne (William) Burrus; sisters, Betty Stopp and Peggy Forster. He will be lovingly remembered. A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 8 at WOLFREY PEACE CHAPEL.

MILES, Suzanne I., 81, died March 5, 1997 in Tucson. Preceded in death by her husband, George Allen Miles and son, Ted. Survived by her children, Lee (Prem) Doug (Doris), Jean Miles, Slagel (Roger), Sue Miles Dyson (Jack), Kurt, Richard (Julie); nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. A private memorial service will be held. Arrangements by WOLFREY PEACE CHAPEL.

PIEL, Mary Ann. Entered the Heavenly Kingdom on February 3, 1997 at age 29. Mary Ann is dearly loved and will be missed by her parents, Craig and Mary Ellen; her sister, Susan; her grandfather, Sylvester Piel and her boyfriend, Tom Fitzpatrick. In 1981 her brother John died of Leukemia. Mary Ann graduated from Salpointe High School and the University of Arizona. She was a Senior Executive for Macy’s in San Francisco. Through her valiant 1 and 1/2 year battle against a brain tumor, she taught us how to live. Mary Ann inspired all whose lives she touched by her courage and her faith in God. Memorial Mass at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 8650 N. Shannon Rd. on Saturday, March 8 at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers and to assist Mary Ann’s family with her illness related expenses, a charitable trust has been opened and donations can be made at any Bank One.

SCHMIDT, Lawrence, 88, of Dowagiac, Michigan, died Friday, February 28, 1997 at Tucson Medical Center. Mr. Schmidt is survived by his son, Larry of Tucson; two granddaughters, Jennifer Schmidt and Lisa Taunton both of Tucson; one sister, Mildred Hill; and two brothers, Earl and Bernard. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen on May 21, 1994. Mr. Schmidt was the former owner of North Side Food Store in Dowaglad, Mich. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at alater date at McLauchlin-Clark Funeral Home, Dowagiac, MI.

SHOUGH, Mildred Louise (Grimes), 88, died March 4th, 1997 in Tucson. Preceded in death by her husband, J. Emerson Shough and sister-in-law, Elizabeth Shough. Survived by sons, David E. (Joyce) Shough of Tucson and Donald (Marilou) Shough of Clayton, Ohio; daughter, Phyllis (Rudy) Ruetschle of Avon Lake, Ohio; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Gladys Kelly of Corpus Christi, Texas and Edith Blair of New Carlisle, Ohio. Mildred graduated with a Masters Degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and taught high school in Port Clinton, Ohio. After moving to Dayton, Ohio she was a Home Teacher for high school students in Dayton Public Schools for many years. She was honorary member of Phi Beta Kappa, Delta Zeda Sorority. She was a member of The College Women’s Club of Dayton, Eastern Star, Dayton Garden Club, PTA in the Shiloh Schools, a member of Grace Methodist Church and Women’s Circle. After her husband retired from Lowe Brothers Paint Company, and she from teaching, they moved to Tucson, Arizona and was a member of Christ Methodist Church and Tucson Women’s Club. Funeral Services will be Saturday, March 8th at 10:30 a.m. at Whitmer Bros. and Thomas Funeral Home, 25 Indianolo Ave. Dayton, Ohio. Burial in the family plot in South Charleston, Ohio. Memorials may be made to Tucson Medical Center Hospice, 5301 E. Grant Rd. Tucson, Arizona 85712 or Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45420. SIEBECKER, Dorothy Frances, 93, of Tucson, passed away at La Canada Care Center on Thursday, March 6, 1997. She was born to Dr. William David Siebecker and Elsbeth Stocker Siebecker, both deceased, on July 16, 1903 in Wausau, WI. Dorothy moved to Tucson in 1946 to work in the University of Arizona Library as Head of the Catalog Department. She earned a BA degree at Carroll College in Waukesha, WI and a masters at the University of Michigan. She retired from the University of Arizona in 1985 after almost 40 years of service. Dorothy was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Tucson for 50 years, a member of the University of Arizona Presidents Club, and a member of the University of Arizona Retirees Association. Survived by two nephews, William D. Siebecker, Wausau, WI and Russell E. Siebecker, Southhaven, MS. Remembrances may be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church, 400 E. University Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85705. Burial in Wausau, WI beside her mother and father. A memorial service will be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 400 E. University Blvd at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 9.

SPENCER, Victor F., 77, of Benson, passed away March 4, 1997. Survived by wife, Angelita F. Spencer; daughters, Linda Jo (Jeff) Langley; son, Tony Larue Spencer; sister, Elizabeth Graham; brother, Ervin Spencer Jr; grandchildren, Melissa, Nathan, Aaron, Sunday, Jason, Samantha; three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7, 1997 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at CARRILLO’S TUCSON MORTUARY, (North Chapel), 204 S. Stone Ave., with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered on Saturday, March 8, 1997 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Augustine Cathedral, 192 South Stone Ave. Interment to follow at High Street Cemetery, Benson, AZ. Preceded in death by his beloved and beautiful wife, Joan.Rosary at ABBEY FUNERAL CHAPEL, Sunday, March 9 at 3:00 p.m. Memorial Mass at St. Melany's Catholic Church. WHEELER, John Gerald Galloway (Jerry), age 81, passed away on March 5, 1997. Born in Amherst, Nova Scotia, Canada, August 1, 1915, to Ambrose Wheeler and Daisy Townsend Wheeler. Jerry graduated from Moncton High School, Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, in 1933. He attended Mount Allison University in Sackville, Nova Scotia. Unable to serve overseas in World War II, Mr. Wheeler volunteered as an officer in the Canadian Navy’s Sea Cadet training program. He was the manager and estimator for Ambrose Wheeler Construction Company which built many of the stone buildings and bridges throughout eastern Canada during the 40's and 50's. Wheeler Boulevard in Moncton is named in honor of Mr. Wheeler’s father, Ambrose, who was mayor of Moncton. In 1952, Mr. Wheeler moved his family to Tucson, Arizona. Before his retirement, he was involved in residential development and real estate in Tucson. In retirement he kept himself busy with a small tax preparation service. Mr. Wheeler is survived by his sons, John of Phoenix, AZ, David of Tulsa, OK and Peter of San Diego, CA; and his daughter, Heather Webb of Las Vegas, NV. He has 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; two older sisters also survive, Eva MacKenzie of Moncton, New Brunswick and Dorothy Wilson of Saint John, New Brunswick. He was predeceased by a sister, Jean Goudy and a brother, Lt. Leslie Wheeler, who was the first Canadian officer killed in World War II. Mr. Wheeler’s wishes were to be cremated No services are planned. Arrangements by EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY.

ADAMS, Dr. Ivor Kenyon, was born in Johnstown, OH on November 9, 1918 and died on March 4, 1997. His parents were George Andrew and Nina Harris Adams. Dr. Adams was graduated from Johnstown High School in 1936. In 1940 he received his Doctor’s Degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Adams was one of the first interns at Doctor’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. On June 4, 1942 Dr. Adams and Ina Ruth Foster were married at the brides Home in London, Ohio. She had formerly been a public school music teacher. Dr. Adams set up his practice of medicine in Columbus, Ohio where he was a member of the staff of Doctors Hospital. He was an honorary staff member of Tucson General Hospital in Tucson. During the ensuing years he did considerable post graduate work in medicine and surgery. Dr. Adams was especially known for his remarkable diagnostic ability. He had patients from neighboring states and from foreign countries. The Dr. had participated in seminars from Australia to Scotland. In 1962 the Adams moved to Tucson where they had continued to live. Dr. and Mrs. Adams had enjoyed many interesting travels together with their children, including around the world. Mourning the loss of a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather are his wife of 54 years, Ina Ruth; two children, John Adams and Sally (Ray) Lytle; grandson, Kenyon G. Adams; granddaughter, Jessica Hand; grandsons, Patrick and Justin Lytle and great-granddaughter, Makena Adams. Following the request of the deceased there will be no services after cremation. Arrangements by BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

BRECK, William D. 'Bill' 79, of Tucson, died Monday, March 3, 1997. He is survived by his children, W. Dan Breck, Carolyn Goebel, Joseph Breck; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, 1997 at Catalina United Methodist Church, 2700 E. Speedway. Private Interment will be at East Lawn Palms Cemetery. Memorial donations, in his name, may be made to the Sportsmen’s Fund, Inc., 4910 E. Copper St. Tucson, 85712, which is a scholarship fund to send less chance children to YMCA Camp. CECCON, Clario, 73, of Tucson, died March 4, 1997. Survived by wife, Doris; daughter, Nancy Ceccon and son, J. Paul Ceccon both of NJ. Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 7 at the Episcopal Church of St. Matthew, 9071 Old Spanish Trail, Tucson. The Rev. Margaret A. Babcock officiating. FOSDICK, Elizabeth C., 90, of Tucson, died March 2, 1997. Preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Fosdick. Survived by son, William (Cynthia) Fosdick, MD; daughters, Elizabeth (William) Carter and Margaret (Irving) Young; grandchildren, Susan (Scott Uselton) Fosdick, Janet (Peter) Wertheimer, Lynda (Glenn) Auchinachie, Robert (Mary McDonald) Fosdick, William (Teri) Carter, Elizabeth (Jon Atkin) Carter, Douglas (Kimberly) Carter, Amy (James) Ogle and Hillary (Michael) Garnica; two great-grandchildren. FRANCIS, Dean E., 62, died March 4, 1997. Beloved husband of Betty Francis of Tucson; devoted father of Dean E. Francis of TN., Connie Francis Lattin of MD; stepchildren Mike Logan, Mark Logan, Mitch logan and Marsha Fraley; cherished grandfather of five grandchildren and five step grandchildren. He will be missed dearly by his family and many friends. Retired from the US Navy after 22 years of service. Memorial service 4:00 p.m. Thursday, March 6 1997 at BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. HARPER, Florence Marie, age 80, of Tucson, died March 4, 1997. She is survived by daughters, Karen (LeRoy) Foss and Patricia (George) Lindsley of Tucson, AZ; sons, Kenneth (Tracey) and Thomas (Sharon) of Las Vegas, NV; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and loving companion, Polly. Memorial Services will be held at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave. at Magee, Saturday, March 8, 1997 at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Andrew Ross officiating. ICE, George A. Jr., 79, died March 4, 1997. Husband of Jeanne Ice of Nogales; father of Barbara (Gilbert W. Jr.) Munguia of Nogales; grandfather of Gilbert Munguia of Tubac and Debbie Robbins of Nogales; brother of Marguerite Smith of Tucson; six great-grandchildren also survive. Mr. Ice was a produce grower and distributor for many years. He was a Navy World War II veteran. in lieu of flowers, contributions to the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Cruz County, 590 N. JOVALUSKY, John M., 64, of Tucson, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 1997 at Carondelet St. Mary’s Hospice. He was preceded in death by his father, John Jovalusky; his mother, Mary Tarkovitch Jovalusky-Lehan; his brother, Michael Jovalusky; two of his sisters, Cecilia Studley and Evelyn Pisanick and his wife, June Francis Thompson Jovalusky. Those he has left behind are his four sons, John Anthony, Mark Andrew, William Joseph and Robert Alan; his two grandchildren, Elizabeth Rose and Andrew David; his brothers and sisters, Elizabeth Jovalusky, Mildred Tray, Margaret Porter, Janet Crawford and Walter Lehan and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 6, 1997 at the Mountain Avenue Church of Christ, located at 2818 N. Mountain Ave. This will be followed by a graveside service at Evergreen Cemetery located at 3015 N. Oracle Road. John will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

KING, Ferdinand F., 85, died Monday, March 3, 1997 following a 6 year illness. Mr. King was born in Tiffin, Ohio September 3, 1911, to Charles and Mary King. He was preceded in death by his wife, Zita Remsberg. He is survived by a son, David M. King, daughter-in-law Julia D. King and grandson, Brian D. King, age 12. Mr. King, a member of First English Lutheran Church, retired from Tiffin Scenic Studios in 1978 and moved to Tucson, Arizona to be with his son and family. A memorial service is planned for 4:00 p.m. Friday, March 7th at Spanish Trail Lutheran Church with Pastor Hal Hoekstra conducting the service. The family asks that donations be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association in Mr. King’s memory in lieu of sending flowers. The address is 1650 E. Ft.
