EDDY, Richard, Tucson has lost one of its most decent, caring real estate professionals with the sudden passing of Richard Eddy. Richard Eddy was born to Robert and Yvonne Eddy on March 7, 1943 in Long Beach, California. He was raised in Bakersfield, California where he attended elementary, junior high and high school. Richard graduated from Fresno State University, School of Business Administration in 1963. He served as a non-commissioned officer in the US Air Corps Flight Operations at Castle Air Force Base, California. In 1967 he was stationed in Saigon during the Vietnam War and returned to the United States where he concluded his term of service at Davis Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson in 1968. Richard remained in Tucson and started his real estate career with Coldwell Banker in 1969. He was consistently one of the top retail brokers in Tucson. In 1983 he started Centrecor Development Company where the focus was on retail development and brokerage. Since 1992, Richard was the designated broker at Bourn Properties, Inc. where he specialized in tenant and landlord representation. Richard, as a broker, served an important role in the development of grocery anchor neighborhood shopping centers throughout Tucson. Richard was also involved with the initial leasing team for the Tucson Mall and Park Mall. Richard will be greatly missed by the commercial real estate community. In 1972, Richard married Jane Kleinsmith in Tucson. Richard is survived by his four sons, Ryan (currently attending ASU), Kevin, Steven and John (attending school in Tucson); his fiancee, Susan Anderson and her children, Locke and Casey all in Tucson; his mother, Yvonne C. Snyder of Irvine, California; his father, Robert N. Eddy and his wife, Karen of Bakersfield, California; his brother, William N. Eddy and his fiancee, Linda Bartholomew of Irving, California and his sister, Jennifer McClintock of Bakersfield, California. Richard is also survived by many other loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Richard was a wonderful and loving father to his four sons and participated tremendously in their lives. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, February 13, 1997 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 750 West Chapala Drive. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Richard G. Eddy at the Arizona Bank for a college fund for his four sons. Please make donations payable to Richard Eddy Children’s Trust Account c/o Arizona Bank, Attention Gretchen Medalen, 4707 E. HALL, Robert A., 70, of Tucson, passed away February 11, 1997. Survived by sisters, Adeline Bracamonte, Lupe Martinez; brothers, William and Samuel (Carmen) Hall; nine nieces and nephews. Mr. Hall retired from the University of Arizona Student Services and was a veteran of the Korean War. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 16, 1997 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at CARRILLO’S TUCSON MORTUARY, (North Chapel), 204 S. Stone Ave., with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 17, 1997 at St. John’s Church, 602 W. Ajo Way. Interment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. HOWE, Juanita E., born February 7, 1923, died February 8, 1997 after a brief illness. Preceded in death by a son, Edward W. Howe in 1981. Juanita is survived by her husband of 53 years, Robert W. Howe of Tucson; a daughter, Deborah L. Howe of Tucson; a daughter-in-law, Irene Howe; and two grandsons, Eric and Robert Howe of Columbus, IN; a brother, Paul Schmith of Beech Grove, IN; and a sister, Delores White of Brooksville, FL. Born in Beech Grove, IN, she graduated from Beech Grove High School in 1942. married in 1943, she lived in Buffalo, NY with her husband and children, moving to Sierra Vista in 1960 and Tucson in 1963. She attended Pima Community College in 1978-81. She was a member of St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, where she sang in the choir and served in the Altar Guild and St. Teresa’s Guild of Episcopal Church Women. Mass will be offered at St. Michael’s on Saturday, February 15 at 8:30 a.m. followed by burial in the churchyard. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of choice, or to the Restoration Fund of St. Michael and All Angel’s Church.

MOWRY, Robert Leslie, 76 years old, died Friday, January 31, 1997 in Tucson. Survived by his wife, Olga Mowry of Tucson; two daughters, Janis Renock of Costa Mesa, CA, Jodi Mudry of Hunnington, Beach, CA; four grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held February 15, 1997 Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the Vista De La Montana United Methodist Church, 3001 E. Mira Vista Lane. Arrangements by WOLFREY PEACE CHAPEL, 881-0338.

PARSONS, Matthew Allen, 17, of Tucson, Arizona, died February 11, 1997. ROBBINS, James Austin Sr., 66, of San Manuel, passed away February 12, 1997. Survived by his wife of 46 years, Shirley Rae Robbins; son, James A. (Lisa Avalos) Robbins Jr. of Corrales, NM; daughters, Kari G. (Craig) Briner of Tucson, Cheryl L.(Dennis) McClure of San Manuel and seven grandchildren. RYE, Floyd A., 87, died February 11, 1997. Survived by loving wife, Gertrude Rye; sister, Janet Goodrich of North Carolina; brother, James Rye of Alabama; five step children, Myron Jones of Kansas, Donald Jones of Phoenix, Virgil Haugen of Tucson, Marilyn Otto of North Dakota, Wayne Haugen of Germany; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brother, Stanley Rye. Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 17, 1997 at Streams in the Desert Church, 5360 E. Pima, with Pastor John Witkop officiating. WEST, Kenneth C., 69, of Tucson, died February 12, 1997. ZIDAR, Aaron Andrew, 17, of Marana, died February 11, 1997.Survived by parents, Thomas V. and Vicki L. BALL, Margie E., 61, of Tucson, died February 11, 1997. She is survived by her children, Patricia Dalke, Kansas, Jackie Graves, Missouri, Judy Andlar and Kenneth Ball, both of Tucson; sisters, Dixie Jaramillo, Etta Jan Trujillo, Sadie Jo Rogers; brother, Richard Ramsey all of New Mexico; grandchildren, Shana Dalke, Clarissa Dalke, Lynne Dalke, Calvin Graves, Casey Graves and Nicole Andlar. CASTRO, Guadalupe Dalton, 89, died February 11, 1997. Mother of Eduardo Castro of Tigard, OR; sister of George Dalton, William Dalton, Enriquita D. Munoz and Isabel Urias, all of Tucson; grandmother of Stephanie, Brenda and Kevin; great-grandmother of Alyson. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 14 at BRING’S MEMORIAL CHAPEL. COLMENERO, Carlos A., 70, of Tucson, died February 9, 1997. Survivors include his wife, Silvia of Tucson. Mr. Colmenero was born August 5, 1926 in Tucson and has lived his entire life here. COSENTINO, Caterina, 86, of Tucson, passed away into the arms of Our Lord on February 10, 1997. Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andy; five brothers and one sister. She is survived by her son, Bruno; grandchildren, Catherine, Andrew and Louis (Donna); five great-grandchildren, Mari, Anna-Marie, Suzanne, Brianna and Catherine, all of Tucson; and brother, Bruno Codispoti of Ohio. Friends may call at WOLFREY PEACE CHAPEL, 5225 E. Speedway on Thursday, February 13, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Wake service will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church, 338 W. OSTRUM, Claude Jr., 75, of Tucson, died February 11, 1997 in Wilcox. Survivors include: wife of 49 years, Frances of Tucson. He is survived by six children; two sisters and 10 grandchildren. Mr. Ostrum served in the US Navy WWII and has been a resident of Tucson since 1978. Memorial will be at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway), February 15, 1997 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Dale Jacobson officiating. Inurnment will follow at Rochester, MN. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. PETERMAN, Margaret Eloise, 72, went to be with the Lord February 10, 1997. Survived by sister, Martha Jean Sladek; brother, Jack (Judith) Palmer of Kobe Japan; nieces, Sharon (Bruce) Phillips and Margaret (Richard) Kettlekamp; one grandniece and four grandnephews. She retired from TUSD and she was a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi from which she received the International Distinguished Service Award. She was an active member of C.F.O. and was on the Board of Directors of 'The Prayer House' in Tucson. She enjoyed worldwide travel. Memorial Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, February 14, 1997 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. Private burial was at East Lawn Palms Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Arthritis Foundation. Arrangements by EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY.

SMITH, Charles Edward, III, 58, died February 11, 1997. Preceded in death by his parents Charles Edward Jr. and Ruthe Smith. Survived by his wife, Olivia; daughter, Victoria Suzanne Smith; sons, Brent Edward (Kimberly) and Bradley Jay (Annamarie) Smith; sister, Sandra Lee (Vincent C.) Alonge Jr.; uncles, Glenn (Lucy) Smith and Wallace (Nancy) Hunt. A long time resident of Tucson, Chuck was a graduate of Tucson High and the University of Arizona. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity and the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America. Most important to him were the family and friends who will miss him dearly. Friends may call 12:00 to 12: 45 p.m. Friday, February 14, 1997 at EAST LAWN PALMS CHAPEL, 5801 E. WHEATON, Robert Otis, age 70, died February 6, 1997 in Tucson Medical Center. He had been a resident of Tucson for five years. Prior to Mr. Wheatons retirement in December 1991, he held the position of Vice-President of B.H.P. Utah Mining Corporation, headquarters in San Francisco. Mr. Wheatons responsibilities required him to travel almost constantly to every continent on the globe searching for new mining opportunities and evaluating possible acquisitions. Mr. Wheaton joined B.H.P. Utah Mining Corporation in June 1961. Prior to joining B.H.P. Utah Mining Corporation, Mr. Wheaton was employed by Union Oil Company, and Bethlehem Steel Company; his title for both of those company’s was geologist. Mr. Wheaton’s education included a M.B.A. as well as a Masters degree in geology from Stanford University. He also received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arizona. Mr. Wheaton leaves his wife Rita and daughter Anne who reside in Tucson, and his two sons, Robert Jr. and Michael who reside in Seattle, Washington. Because of Roberts belief that a strong educational background is a necessity for all children: the family requests that any gift in Mr. Wheaton’s memory be made to the Robert Wheaton Memorial Fund: Amphitheater Public School District, Mesa Verde Elementary School, 1661 West Sage St. Tucson, AZ 85704. Services will be held at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, Green Valley at 10:00 a.m. Friday 14, 1997. Funeral Arrangements were handled by GREEN VALLEY MORTUARY and MEMORIAL GARDENS.

WOOD SR., Warren Gordon, 77, of Tucson, passed away February 11, 1997. Survived by daughters, Darlene Maginity, Nancy Narofsky and Denise (Allen) Stark all of Tucson, Gloria Machovec of Arnold, MD; son, Warren G. 'Sonny' (Dian) Wood, Jr. of Horn Lake, MS; 16 grandchildren; four step grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Muriel Haury of Tucson and extended family. Predeceased by wife, Jacqueline (Canty) Wood on September 14, 1985. Mr. Wood served in 1st Marine Division during WWII in the Pacific Theater and was a long time member of First Church of God. Before moving from Chicago, he was employed by CTA as a bus driver, in Tucson, he was later employed by Sun Tran as a Scheduler. Memorial Service, Friday 1:30 p.m. First Church of God, 3355 N. Fontana Ave, with Pastor Robert Siebels officiating. Graveside Service with Military Honors, Friday 3:00 p.m. Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Old Pueblo Trolley Restoration Fund, 360 E. 8th St., Tucson, AZ 85705 or a charity of one’s choice. ANDREWS, Dolores S., 68, died February 9, 1997. Wife of Joseph C. Andrews; mother of David Andrews, Brian (Dorothy) Andrews and Kimberly Andrews, all of Tucson; grandmother of Yvonne and Kristin; sister of Violet Bergstrom and Linda Melaragno both of PA; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive. Memorial service, 1:00 p.m. Friday February 14 at Fountain of Life Lutheran Church, 710 S. Kolb Rd. with Rev. Kevin Kritzer officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Assoc. P.O.
