WILLIAMS, Lorraine M., 73, of Tucson, died February 1, 1997. She is survived by children, Linda Flores; Charlotte Williams, Olita Williams, Willie Williams Jr, Albert Williams, Cathy Williams, Myra Sherfield and David Williams; 21 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren. Loving aunt of many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Grace Temple Baptist Chruch, 1020 E. 31st ST. from 11:00 to 12:00 noon with services at 12:00 noon with Interment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. Directed by VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 327-6341.

BRONSON, Clarence E., born August 7, 1905, went to be with the Lord, April 3, 1997. He was born in Gladwin, MI. Survived by loving wife of 68 years, Nettie Bronson; two children, Chuck (Nancy) Bronson, Tucson and Shirley (Roger) Polk, Glendale; 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; Arizona resident for 45 years. Funeral Services 11:00 a.m. April 5 at East Lawn Memorial Chapel, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Burial will follow at East Lawn Palms Cemetery.

COLEMAN, Thomas Patrick, 32. Earned his wings and was welcomed into Heaven by his sister, Stephanie, nephew, Patrick; his grandfathers and an aunt, April 3, 1997. Tom was an inspiration to those he touched. His strong personality and will to live carried him through many obstacles as he overcame Cystic Fibrosis, a double lung transplant and the effects of these conditions on his body. He was an excellent spokesman for organ transplant, donor awareness and was on the Donor Network of Arizona’s speakers board. He recently became involved with landscaping the expansion of Ronald McDonald House. He was the manager of Mayfield Greenhouses, part of his family’s floral business. He was a member of the Tanque Verde Optimist Club. He is survived by his parents, Don and Pat Coleman; grandmothers, Ruth Cleary and Astrid Coleman; Greg, Kelly and Hunter Coleman, Don, Danielle, Chelsea and Sean Coleman, many aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as all his friends and co-workers in the CF and transplant communities and the people whose life he enriched. Think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched, nothing loved is ever lost and he was loved so much. Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday at St. Ann’s Convent, Immaculate Heart Chapel, N. Sabino Canyon Rd. where Mass will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. Contributions may be made to the organizations Tom was so proud to support, the Steele Memorial Children’s Research Center, at UMC the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the Donor Network of Arizona and the Ronald McDonald House. LANEY, Frances L., 65, died April 3, 1997. Survived by her husband, Roland C. Laney, children, Helen, Janice and Sandra Laney, Doreen Berd and Brenda Anderson; grandchildren, Richard, Rebecca Laney, Linda, William, Damin and Casey Anderson; sister, Norman Orloff; brothers, Richard, David and Dennis Lund. MILLER, Florence L., age 93, of Tucson, died March 10, 1997. Born in Reader, West Virginia, November 13, 1903. Mrs. Miller has been a resident of Tucson since 1928. She is survived by a niece, Yvonne Maynard of Tucson, Vivian Price and Ruth Ann Calvert, both of Reader, West Virginia; nephews, John Price of Reader, West Virginia, Frank and Arnold Tennent of Ohio and Lee Price of Georgia; sister-in-law, Opal Price of Georgia. Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, in 1964. Memorial will be at Grace St. Paul Episcopal Church, April 6, 1997, 3:00 p.m. with Father William Rector Demetrius and Deacon Tom Kinman officiating. Inurnment will follow at South Lawn. SCHULTE, Lorraine J., age 83, of Tucson, died April 3, 1997. She was a resident of Arizona for 45 years. She is survived by children, Suzette (Kenneth) Thatcher, Bonnie J. (Larry) Bingham, Joanne (Joe) Peck and Robert M. (Debbie) Schulte; grandchildren, Lori (David) Ridinger, Steven (Mary)Thatcher, Kelly and Tim (Tammie) Bingham, Bryan (Amy), Kerry and Jessica Peck and Myron and Phillip Schulte; six great-grandchildren; brother, Irvin (Mary Lou) Shudlick and sister, Phyllis Brunette. She was preceded in death by her husband, Myron R. Schulte. Funeral Services will be held at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave. at Magee, Monday, April 7, 1997 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Kenneth Skodiak officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Donations may be made to Christian Education Bldg. SMITH, Mahlon, 82, of Tucson, passed away March 29, 1997. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Lucy B. Smith. Survived by children, Nancy and Brian; sisters, Margaret Smith, Peggy Moushey and brother, Melville, all of OH. He was an electrician for over 43 years and a member of Tucson IBEW 570. CASTILLO, Manuel L., 84, of Tucson, passed away April 8, 1997. Survived by wife, Benina G. Castillo; daughters, Marcella Ortiz, Esther Suarez; sons, Manuel Jr., Pete and Max Castillo; sisters, Eva Rivera, Isabel Marquez, Herlinda Martinez; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild. DeWEESE, Elizabeth E., Born April 18, 1927, died peacefully on April 4, 1997 at her home in Tucson. Survived by her husband of 50 years, Jack Alvah DeWeese, sons, Jack Andrew DeWeese, David Scott DeWeese (Marcy). Preceded in death by son Daniel Michael DeWeese in 1971. Also survived by sister Georgi Walton of Texas and nephews Robin and Chris Walton of Calif. Elizabeth attended high school in Evansville, Indiana and college at Indiana University in Bloomington. She loved living in Arizona and enjoyed walking, hiking and camping with her husband through the western United States and each of the provinces of Canada. Some of her favorite places were Alaska, British Columbia and Price Edward Island, Canada. At Elizabeth’s request she will be cremated and her cremains will be scattered in a place meaningful to her and her family. At her request no services will be held and in lieu of flowers a remembrance be sent to the Sportsman’s Fund, 'Send a Kid to Camp', Box 16141, Tucson, AZ. 85732 or to a charity of your choice.

ECKERLE, Leo Joseph, 74, died at his home in Tucson, AZ on Sunday, April 6, 1997. Mr. Eckerle is survived by his wife, Mary L. Eckerle of Tucson; son, Robert J. Eckerle of Kansas City, MO; daughter, Marcia Matteson of Sacramento, CA; sister, Alicia Spencer of San Diego, CA and three grandchildren. Mr. Eckerle was born in Kansas City, MO and moved to Tucson, AZ in 1989 from Pittsburgh, PA after serving 42 years with Trans World Airlines Inc. Funeral Service, 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 11, 1997 at BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, with Dr. Wayne North officiating. Interment to follow at Desert Vista Cemetery. EPLING, Charles Rowe, 76, of Tucson, passed away April 8, 1997. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; his daughter, Sharon (Michael) Nelson; sons, John (Alys), Larry (Kristine), William, Kenneth (Amy) and Richard; and stepdaughter, Virginia (James) Duckworth. Also by his sister, Katherine Royer; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Epling had worked for Greyhound as a bus driver for 36 years. Private family services were held. EVANS, Zilpah L., 96, of Tucson, died Sunday, March 30, 1997. She is survived by three sisters; two brothers; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 1997 at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Interment will follow at East Lawn Palms Cemetery. FAULHABER, Donna M., 59, of Tucson, formerly of St. Paul, MN, died April 8, 1997. Survivors include her husband, Ronald; one daughter, five sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren; her mother and two sisters. Memorial service will be at Resurrection Episcopal Church, 7110 S. 12th Ave., Tucson, Friday, April 11, 1997 at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend Herman J. White officiating. GORTO, Gary C., 45, a resident of Marana, died Sunday, April 6, 1997. He was employed by the Water Company. He is survived by his wife, Christina; his children, Michelle, Danielle and Sonny; his father, Stephen Gorto of Tucson; his brothers, John Gorto (wife, Lois) of Michigan, Jeff Gorto (wife, Karen) of New Jersey; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. (Betsy) Montague of Tucson, David Montague of Chicago, IL, Russell Montague and Jeanne Montague; brothers, Robert Montague of Tucson, Gerald Montague of MI; five grandchildren; nieces, Sonia Cowen of Tucson and Marilyn Johnson of Casa Grande. Mr. Montague was a direct descendant of L.L. ROBLES, Reynaldo M. 'Nano'. Entered into rest April 7, 1997 after a long illness caused by heart problems and kidney failure. Born September 5, 1943 in Douglas, AZ. Preceded in death by parents, Eduardo 'Lalo' and Guadalupe Robles; brothers, Albert and Ruben Robles. Survived by long time loving companion and best friend, Blanca Gallego; son, Matthew Robles; brothers, Eddie (Norma) Robles, Dan Robles, Sam (Eloe) Robles; sisters, Irene Morales Robles, Genny (Florencio) Robles, Martha (Rick) Salomon, Norma (George) Morando and many nephews and nieces. Rey will be missed very much by all who loved him for his good deeds, pride, bravery, dignity and good sense of humor. Rey served in the US Marine Corps and was a Vietnam Veteran, as an explosive ordinance disposal technician. He attended the U of A and P.C.C. Rey was the owner of Copper State Sign Co. for many years. He supported many local youth organizations. Graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 10th at the L.D.S. Cemetery, 4001 N. Alvernon. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to noon on Thursday, April 10th at BRING’S MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 236 S. Scott Avenue.
