GRADILLAS, Amalia Aguirre, 92, died June 13, 1997. Mother of Estella G. Cavicchioni, Elda S. (Frank) Reyna and Odilia Miranda all of Tucson; grandmother of Rick (Laurie) Reyna of Tucson, Michael Reyna of Tucson and Madeleine Cavicchioni (Anthony) Crespo of Houston, Tx; great-grandmother of Veronica and Victoria Reyna, 'Gus' and Greg Reyna and Daniel Crespo; sister of Mary A. Lopez of Tucson. Mrs. Gradillas was born of a Pioneer Family at the Buenos Aires Ranch and is the last surviving daughter of Don Pedro Aguirre. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert S. Gradillas; her parents, Don Pedro and Magdalena; her grandson, Rocky Cavicchioni; and her sister, Elena A. Gonzales. Rosary was recited at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, June 15. Mass will be offered at 9:00 a.m. Monday, June 16 at St. Augustine Cathedral with Msgr Arsenio Carrillo officiating. Burial will be in Holy Hope Cemetery. HARRIS, Lanora Ethel (Craig), 83, a resident of Tucson since 1988, passed away June 14, 1997 from complications of Parkinson’s Disease. Born in Stroud, OK, in 1935 she married Glenwood Harris, who survives. They had been active in the United Methodist Church in the various cities in which they had lived: Tulsa, Kansas City, Birmingham, AL, and Houston. Mrs. Harris also is survived by the couple’s three daughters and their families, Wanda and Adrian Harris Manktelow of Dartmouth, England; Elaine and Steve Hedden of Tucson, Trevor Hedden of Tucson, and Jared Hedden of Los Angeles; Freida and Jack Skinner of Tucson, Rob Skinner of Tucson, Jeff (Linda); and daughter, Emily Skinner of Houston, and Jill (Carl) and daughter Layni Bowen of Richmond, VA. Also surviving are her sisters and their husbands, Ara Mae (Wayne) Calhoun and Genevieve (Ralph) Scott of Bella Vista, AR. Preceding her in death were her granddaughter, Sabrina Wilson and Sabrina’s father, John Wilson. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. on June 17 at ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway), and a Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on June 18 at Christ Church United Methodist. RATCLIFF, Lucille P., age 73, of Tucson passed June 13, 1997. Survived by brother-in-laws, Roy Ratcliff, CA and Henry Ratcliff, TX. Sister-in-law, Hattie M, Inman, AL. Stepmother, Flossie Thomas, AL. Mrs. Ratcliff was a devoted worker in the community, by offering music lessons to underprivileged youngsters in the city of Tucson. Her husband, Arthur Ratcliff, preceded her in death, who was a chemistry teacher in the Tucson Unified School District. BETHEL, Theresa, born January 13, 1925, was met by the angels she so dearly loved on Friday, June 6, 1997. She was born Theresa Kohut in Wheeling, WV, to a family of nine. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Anne Kabala, Mary Kudlak, Olga Sebulsky and Irene Mcquay. She is survived by Katherine Martin, Nora Czaruk, Pete Kohut and Vera Kohut. Theresa moved to Tucson with her husband William Marion Bethel who preceded her in death and awaited her arrival last Friday. Together they adopted two sons, William Marion, Jr. and Shawn Christopher. She will be remembered by William and his wife Kathleen and her two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Meagan. She will greatly be missed by Shawn and his fiance Beverly Chilicky. The family wishes to thank the relatives, friends and the hospice staff for their love and support during Theresa’s last days here with us. A private graveside service was held on Tuesday, June 10 at Holy Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make a donation to the T.M.C. Hospice Program. NYE, Helen T., died June 11, 1997 in Novato, CA at the age of 86. She was born in Sedalia, MO. She raised her family in Kansas City before retiring to Tucson with her husband, Carl in 1973. Mrs. Nye is survived by her sons, Kenneth Nye of Leawood, KS and James Nye of Novato, CA. She also leaves four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. PRIOR, Thomas Edward, 55, died suddenly June 10, 1997. Retired USAF. RICE-DENNICK, Suzanna Lou, age 65, a resident of Tucson for the past 11 years, passed away June 10, 1997. Born August 12, 1931 in Shamokim, Pennsylvania. She was a volunteer at the Salvation Army, a Microbiologist, and Chef and co-owner of Arizona Corporate Catering. She is survived by her three children, John Palmer, Elizabeth Booser and Jennifer Barker; eight grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband, Ahmed Abdullah in 1972 and husband, Wilford N. WADDELL, Piert P., born April 27, 1916 in Sneedsville, TN, died June 12, 1997. Piert served in the Army and is a WWII veteran. He married Florence Hoke in 1966. He is survived by his wife, Florence; five children, Arnold from Illinois, Sharon, Kathy and Donna Jean, all from Colorado and Chrosia from Nebraska. Ronald William Lamb, 58, passed away peacefully on May 29, 1997, at home. His daughters, Cherie Lamb and Penny Quihuis; son-in-law, Albert Quihuis and grandchildren, Dominic and Nichole Quihuis were at his side. Born October 2, 1938, in Chicago, IL. Ron had an extreme love for life, his family and nature. Preceded in death by grandson, Derrick Quihuis.
