Donald Eric Janson, 76, passed away November 7, 1997. Born and raised in New Jersey, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and on his discharge in 1946, he attended the University of Illinois (B.A.) and New York University (M.B.A.) He married Nancy Earl in 1954 and a daughter, Roberta, arrived the following year. After trading commodity futures for himself for many years, the family moved to Tucson in 1963. He worked at several brokerage houses and retired in 1984. In 1968 he and Nancy had bought some land and named it the Happy Buzzard Ranch, which they subsequently sold in 1995 to become part of the Buenos Aires Wildlife Refuge. In addition to wife, Nancy, and daughter, Roberta, of San Francisco, he is survived by his brother, Peter of Virginia; his father-in-law, Donald Earl of Tucson; nieces and nephews and their families, and Sten and Rigmor Lagerstrom of Malmo, Sweden. A Memorial Service will be Wednesday, November 12, 1997 at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. BANKSON, Mack W., 78, Lt. Col. USAF retired, passed away peacefully at the family residence after a brave battle with emphysema and lung cancer, due to smoking. He retired from the Air Force after 27 years of service. He was a veteran of World War II, B-24 Pilot, and later a B-47 and B-52 Command Pilot. He was predeceased by his cherished daughter-in-law, Sandy Bankson, on August 17, 1997. He is survived by his loving wife, Lillian (Lou) of 17 years; sons, Mack W. Bankson, Jr. and Buddy (Dale) Bankson, Lee (Sylvia) Bankson and Dean (Diane) Gekas; daughters, Susan (Chuck) Condos, Rosemary (Gib) Davis, Bonnie Bankson, Patty (Sam) Anderson, Joanne (Garry Gilbert) Gekas; 25 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; cherished in-laws, Drs. BECK, Irvin Lincoln, passed away November 1, 1997. Born January 23, 1923 in Kremlin, OK, the son of Lincoln and Laverna Beck. He married Betty L. Reese on January 9, 1953 in Chicago, IL. They moved to Tucson in November of 1972 where he has worked as a security guard at various places. He is survived by his wife, Betty; a brother, Glen Beck of Enid, OK; a sister, Dora Froese of Enid, OK; and a number of nieces and nephews.
