He is survived by daughter, Dee and her husband Mel Martin of Montana; three grandchildren, Shelby, Shantelle and Travis Martin all of Montana; Nine brothers and sisters. GALMINAS, Grace B., died on December 16, 1997 at TMC Hospice. She was born on July 19, 1917 in New London, Connecticut to George and Jenny Telford Barclay, and was a graduate of Saint Faiths Academy (NY). Grace first moved to Tucson in 1948 and returned in 1959 to make it her permanent home. She previously worked for the Copel and Cardi Company, Tucson Realty and Trust, and Silver Shadows Water Company. Pre-deceased by husband, Nick Galminas, she is survived by daughters Bonnie (James) Rice of Oakdale, CT, and Jennifer (Michael) Ward of Tucson; son Bart (Nancy) Henkle of Tucson; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. WALTHER, Richard L., Lt. Col (Retired), age 75, of Sun Sites, Cochise County, Arizona passed away Saturday, December 13, 1997. He is survived by his brother, Kenneth G. Walther of Stephentown, New York; his daughters, Deborah Ann Ryan of Marana and Karen W. Spencer of Tucson; two grandchildren, Jennifer Reynard and Jeremy Reynard and one great-grandson, Eammon Bent all of Tucson. Richard was a member of the US Cavalry Association, the Golden Eagle National Rifle Association and the Sun Sites Social Club. ARNOLD, Robert A., 77, of Tucson, died December 14, 1997. He was born April 1, 1920 in Clarita, Oklahoma. ”Bob” is survived by his wife, Lu and sons, Larry (Terry) Arnold, Ray (Sue Ann) Arnold, Dick (Mary) Arnold and Dan (Kim) Arnold. Survivors also include 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. ”Bob” was a retired pipe fitter and served as Business Manager for Plumbers and Steamfitters Local Union #741 in Tucson. He was a member of Marion McDaniel Masonic Lodge R.A. Arnold will be missed by family and friends. A private ceremony was held December 16 at East Lawn Cemetery. SPECTER, Samuel, 94, of Tucson, died December 15, 1997. Survived by wife of 71 years, Miriam; sons, Gerald (Elaine) Specter of Chicago, IL, Maynard Bud (Syral) Specter of Richmond, VA; daughter, Betejoy (Rabbi Arthur) Oleisky of Tucson; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. In Chicago, Mr. Specter served as Treasurer of Anshe Emet Synagogue and was President of the Midwest Region of United Synagogue of America. He was one of the founders of the first Ramah Camp. He served on the Board of Overseers of the Jewish Theological Seminary. Mr. Specter was also one of the founders of the Solomon Schechter Day School in Chicago where he was the recipient of the Abraham J. Heschel Award. He was an avid supporter of the Jewish Theological Seminary and the University of Judaism. In Tucson he was a member of AIPAC, ZOA, Friends of Handmaker, Jewish Historical Society and a member of Congregation Anshei Israel. Doris T. Hood, died December 12, 1997. She was born in Des Moines, Iowa, April 4, 1928 to Arthur and Hilma Tokheim. Doris graduated from East High School; attended St. Olaf College and graduated from Iowa State with a Bachelor of Science degree. She was employed by the Tucson Unified School District as Office Manager at Steel School from 1972 until her retirement in 1993. She is survived by her husband, Tom Hood; a son, John and daughter-in-law, Cathy Hood of New York City; a daughter, Jane and son-in-law, Bob Sholes of Bolder Creek, California; four grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy and brother-in-law, Curt Askelson of Old Lyme, Connecticut; a brother, Chet and sister-in-law, Helen Tokheim of Cedar Falls, Iowa; and a brother, Don Tokheim of Eagle Grove, Iowa.
