PERRY, Robert C., died December 7, 1997 in Tucson, AZ. He was born October 12, 1910, in Bloomington, IL, a son of Lon Ray and Elsie Mae Carlisle Perry. He was reared in Downs, IL, by his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Robert Carlisle. He attended Down public schools and the University of Illinois, graduating in 1932. Mr. Perry was employed in the Home Office of the State Farm Ins. Co. for 43 years. He was elected Executive Vice President in 1962, and was Vice Chairman and a Director of the State Farm Life Insurance Co. upon his retirement in 1976. He was active in international life insurance trade associations and was past Chairman of the Life Office Management Association. He was a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a Fellow of the Life Office Management Institute, an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society, and a former member of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and of the Chicago Actuarial Club. He was also a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU). He was a 32 degree Mason and Shriner, a former member of Bloomington C.C. and Skyline C.C., and a member of Theta Chi Fraternity. Mr. Perry resided in IL. throughout his life until he retired and moved to Tucson in 1976. His wife of 61 years, Harriett, preceded him in death December 4, 1995. ROBARE, Donald Edward, went to Heaven December 7, 1997. He is survived by wife Mary and five step children, Beth (Al), Theodore, Dan (Robbin) McGee, Ann McGee, Glen (Lisa) McGee, Kathleen McGee; and three grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother, Robert Robare; a sister, Dianne Kolenc and niece, Susan Kolenc of Plattsburgh, NY. A Funeral Mass will be held at Santa Catalina Mission, 14380 N. BULLARD, Frederick Gray, passed away December 8, 1997. Born in the Chicago area November 28, 1906. Graduate of Francis Parker Academy in Chicago and Stanford University. Founded Bullard Hardware in 1957 and operated the business until retirement in 1981. Longtime member of Casas Adobes Congregational Church. Survived by Beatrice Bullard, his beloved wife of over 60 years and some surviving relatives out of state. Frank S. Chmiel, 91, of Tucson, died December 5, 1997. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth McKinney Chmiel of Tucson; sister, Lorraine Vizer of New Brunswick, NJ; cousins, Florence Boyd and son, Vince Boyd of Tucson, and Margo Czajkowska “His Polish Daughter” of Frederick, OK. Mr. Chmiel was a 50 year member of the Sabbar Temple in Tucson, a master mason in the Bayonne Bergen Temple Lodge #099 and A.M. of NJ, and the Ancient and accepted Scottish Rite Lodge Council Consistory Valley of NJ. He was also a member of the 12th Armored Division Association. Mr. Chmiel was an active member in the AZ State Genealogical Society where he found Polish nobility in his ancestry and is entitled to the title of “Sir” Chevalier Frank S. Chmiel-Zielinski. Funeral Services for Mr. Chmiel will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 9, at Rincon Congregational Church, 122 N. Craycroft, with Rev. James Lunsden officiating. HEATH, Darrin Lee, is the first born of two children from the union of Raymond L. Heath and Susan Lujan. He was born on October 10, 1970 in Mesa, Arizona. He later relocated to Oracle, Arizona. He worked in the cities of Oracle and Tucson, Arizona as a retail employee. He resided in Oracle with his mother until demise on December 6, 1997. Darrin enjoyed reading, outdoor activities and his dogs Buck and Beavis. David “Buddy” Springer Martin III, age 22, of Tucson, passed away December 6, 1997. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Ann Bird of Tucson and his father, David Springer Martin II of Dallas, TX; one sister, Sarah Martin, brother, Geoffrey Bird both of Tucson; grandmothers, Duane Martin of Dallas and Mary Lee Miller of Tucson; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. He was a member of F.F.A. in Oklahoma and graduated from Palo Verde High School in 1993 where he played football and worked as a chef at the Elks on River Road and was a member of Moose Lodge No. 2475.
