FIFIELD, Lester, Jr., 75, died April 8, 1998. Survived by his wife, Helen M. Fifield; sons, John (Carolyn) and James Fifield; daughter, Joy Woodruff; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn Garrow, Charlotte Ubl and June Avellino; and many loving friends. Lester retired from the Air Force with 26 years service and retired from the Post Office. He was a veteran of WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He was a tail gunner of a B-17 Bomber in the 379th Bomb Group. His plane was shot down over Germany. He spent 14 months in Stalag XVII-B in Krems, Austria. Lester was a life member and past chapter commander of American Ex-Prisoners of War, life member of DAV, member of American Legion and VFW. Friends may call 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 13, 1998 at EAST LAWN PALMS CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd., where Funeral Service will be held 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, 1998. Burial to follow at East Lawn Palms Cemetery, with military honors by Davis-Monthan Air Force Honor Guard.

GUTIERREZ, Tom M., age 74, of Tucson, passed away April 9, 1998. He is survived by loving wife of 51 years, Sophie; son, Tom (Charlene); daughters, Gloria and Dorothy (Ed) Ngan; grandsons, T. Anthony, Roland, Marc, and Michael Gutierrez; granddaughter, Felicia Ngan; great-grandson, T. Anthony, Jr.; brothers, Frank (Mary) and Pete (Ellen) Gutierrez; and numerous other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2:15 p.m., Monday, April 13, 1998 at St. Augustine's Cathedral with Msgr. A. Carrillo celebrating. A Rosary will be recited at 1:30 p.m. prior to Mass at the Cathedral. Friends may call at ARIZONA MORTUARY, 7 E.University, from noon until 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 13, 1998. HUNNICUTT, Archie R., 76, died April 8, 1998. Preceded in death by second wife, Phyllis. Survived by first wife, Ann and their children, Lois (Floyd) McShurley of Lafayette, Ind., Ralph (Doreen) of Tucson, Susan (Rich) Linson of Lafayette, Ind., Laura (Tom) Gardner of Oak Park, Ill., Alice (George) Bogatko of Westfield, N.J., Charles (Martha) of Tucson, Andre (Mindy) of Columbus, Ind.; stepdaughter, Becky Knotts of Indianapolis, Ind; 26 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; brother, William of New Castle, Ind.; brother, James (Cassie) of Tucson and sister, Mary Sue Cox of Detroit, Mich. Arch was born in Union City, Indiana on March 4, 1921. A graduate of Purdue University, he served in WWII in the Army Air Corps. He built numerous construction projects for Ralph Hunnicutt & Sons in Indiana including the world's largest High School Gymnasium (10, 000) capacity). Arch was a 50 year member of the Elks Club and a former Rotarian. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Am. Cancer Society.

MCALPIN, Conchita Dee Dee Navarro, 94, of Tucson, passed away April 6, 1998. Preceded in death by beloved husband, Richard McAlpin. Survived by daughters, Angie (Mark) Williams and Lillian Ulloa (Enrique); sisters, Rachel Carrillo, Becky Arino (Mark), Fresia Gil (Enrique) and Hortencia Valenzuela; brother, Ernie Navarro. Also survived by eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 12, 1998 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY, (South Chapel), 240 S. Stone Ave., with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered on Monday April 13, 1998 10:30 a.m. at St. Augustine' s Cathedral Church. Interment will follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. Rosary and Mass will be officiated by Msgr. A.S. Carrillo, Msgr. Tom Callahan and Deacon Charlie Gallegos. Family suggest donations to be made to the Cathedral Maintenance Fund. MESTA, Isidro Amaya, went to be with our Lord on April 8, 1998 at the age of 74. He was born on October 3, 1923 in Ojinaga, Mexico. He is survived by his loving wife, Maria Luisa; his children, Olga (Sergio), Oscar (Norma), Lula (Elias), Connie (Paco), Maria (Marc), and Belem (Allen); and 14 grandchildren. Isidro loved life and was happiest when all of his family was around him laughing and playing with him. He has left a wonderful example of what a Father and Grandfather is. We will miss him terribly. Funeral Service 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 14, 1998 at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway, followed by a procession to South Lawn Cemetery. REECE, Sandra D., age 39, of Tucson, passed away April 7, 1998. She is survived by parents, Willie (Faye) Reece of Tucson; children, Traselle Reece and Markel Hall, both of Tucson; sister, Pamela Reece of Tucson; brothers, David Reece and Gregory Reece, both of Tucson and many nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 1998 at Grace Temple Missionary Baptist Church, 1019 E. 31st Street with Rev. D. Grady Scott officiating. Interment, South Lawn Cemetery. BINGHAM, Dorothy Mae, 72, of San Manuel, died Saturday, April 11, 1998. Native Tucsonan. She is survived by her children, Deryl (Sharon), Glenna (Jim) Hablutzel, Doug (Karen), Jim (Linda), Janet (David) White and Lydia Bingham; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Ethel (Arthur) Maynard of Huntington West VA; and many other family and friends. Mrs. Bingham was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years in 1996. BROWN, Sol W., 89, of Tucson, died April 10, 1998. He is survived by wife, Marjorie Brown of Tucson; son, Michael (Susan) Tiffany-Brown of Walnut Creek, CA; daughters, Carolyn Brown of Tucson; Bonita 'Bonnie' (Mike) Huffer of Fort Collins, CO; brother, Arthur Brown of Chicago, IL; sister, Shirley Dolinky of Ocean Beach, CA; and four grandchildren. Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 13 at Broadway Proper, 400 S. Broadway Place with Rabbi Louchheim officiating.

Michael Steven Delgado, 29, of Tucson, completed his earthly journey on April 9, 1998. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra and their unborn child; parents, Chester P. and Isela Delgado; sister, Christine (D.J.) Ernle; brothers, C. Peter Delgado (Suzanne) and Joe F. Delgado; grandparents, Joe and Anita Rowles, all of Tucson; loving uncle of seven nieces and nephews; also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in Tucson, CA, TX and the Tohono O'Odham Nation. He was a police officer with the Tohono O'Odham Police Dept. and a veteran of the USMC. The celebration of his life will begin 7:00 p.m.Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Catholic Church, 8650 N. Shannon Rd. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Church. Burial will follow in Holy Hope Cemetery. Services are being conducted by VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 2545 N. Tucson Blvd., (327-6341).

HANNA, Winfred, 103, died April 10, 1998. Survived by his children, Maxine (Larry) Cook Louderback, Pauline Taylor, and Damon (Sarah) Hanna; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. Winfred was a veteran of WWI serving in France with the U.S. Army. Friends may call 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 14, 1998 at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 E. PARKER, David Morgan, 8 days, of Tucson, AZ, died Friday, April 10, 1998. Survived by father and mother, Mardis W. Parker Jr. and Marna Smith Parker; brother, Jonathan Mardis Parker of Tucson, AZ; grandparents, Calhoun and Lynda Smith; Mardis W. and Nell Parker, Sr., all of Cape Coral, FL; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. WALKER, Hal, 64, of Tucson, passed away peacefully at home. Survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Mary Jo; his nine children, Tracy (Frank) Pones, Todd, Jaime, Kory, Anita, Joyce (Ray) Milburn, Harry (Debbie), Regina (Andy) Alexander, and Joseph Walker, all of Tucson; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and countless friends. Hal was a dedicated father and family man. He devoted 27 years of his life and talents as the Director of Development for Catholic Cemeteries, Diocese of Tucson. Scripture Service in memory of his joyful life will be Monday, 7:30 p.m., EVERGREEN MORTUARY & CEMETERY, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile. Friends may call from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., EVERGREEN MORTUARY. WEATHERS, June M., 75, died April 10, 1998. Wife of Durwood Weathers; mother of David Weathers; sister of Arlene Morris and John Mansfield. Mrs. Weathers was a Secretary for Arizona Pest Control Association for many years. Memorial Service 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 15, 1998 at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. ALFORD, Dorothy Wineberg, (June 27, 1907 – April 10, 1998). A long, full life of caring, giving and doing for others ended peacefully for Dorothy at 5:30 p.m. on Good Friday. BENNETT, Mark O'Brien, age 82, died on Monday, April 13, 1998. He is survived by his wife, Wanda E. Bennett of Tucson; two sons, Kim Bennett (Marilyn) of South Carolina and Brad Bennett of Tucson; three grandchildren, Natalie of Tucson, Jason of South Carolina and Brian of Alabama. Friends may call at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway), on Wednesday, April 15, 1998 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and a Prayer Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. Loren Emerson of Mountain View Christian Church officiating. Burial will take place later in Ponca City, Oklahoma.

CONDON, Timothy Arthur, 44, died suddenly Thursday, April 9, 1998 at his home. Born on December 21, 1953, in Framingham, MA, he was the son of William and Cynthia Jones Condon. Tim was a beloved son, brother, husband, uncle and friend. He was a great lover of the outdoors. Tim enjoyed hunting, fishing and had many talents. Tim will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Sonya; his father and stepmother, Bill and Ann Condon of FL; his mother, Cynthia Green of Tucson; his three sisters, Stephanie Jenkins of CA, Lisa Condon-Leas and her husband Rick of Tucson, Tracy Forzetting and her husband Angelo of ME; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. His two brothers, Kevin and Brian Condon and his paternal grandparents, William Sr and Helen Condon of Ashland, MA and maternal grandparents, Arthur and Jeanne Jones of Hope, ME all died previously. Services will be held April 15, 1998 at Maplewood Cemetery, Lincolnville, ME. Arrangements by Laite & Pratt Funeral Home, 9 Mountain St., Camden, ME. Contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.

DALTON, Roxy P., 86, of Tucson, passed away April 10, 1998. Survived by wife, Consuelo B. Dalton; sons, Earl (preceded in death by Ann), Mike (Jackie), Bob (Carol), Tony (Mary), Paul (Tracy) and George (Norma). Also survived by 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 16, 1998 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Santa Cruz Catholic Church, 1220 S. 6th Ave. Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered on Friday, April 17, 1998, 9:00 a.m. at Santa Cruz Church. Marie Margaret Donisi, 94, entered into rest at Enza Adult Fostercare Home on April 11, 1998. Preceded in death by her husband, E. P. 'Pete' Donisi; and a daughter, Joan Helen Donisi. Mother of Ann Marie (Wayne) Barry of Tucson, and Carmen Sue (Donald) Garigan of Nutrioso, AZ. Grandmother of Paul Barry, Gregg Barry, Sandra Saton, Michael Garigan, Peter Garigan, Suzanna Alba, Antoinette White, Tina Marie Soderberg; aunt of Carol Donisi of Tucson. 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren also survive. Mass will be offered at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 15, 1998, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 1375 S. Camino Seco. Burial will be in Holy Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Donisi was a founding member of the Auxiliary of St. Mary's and St. Joseph's Hospital and also a founding member of St. Cyril's Catholic Parish. Gonichon; daughters, Cindy Lowe of Franktown, CO, Leona Plumer of Denver, CO, Anita Campbell of Berwick, PA; sons, Leon Jesser of San Diego, CA, Dennis Morgan of Ft. Collins, CO, David Jesser of Dallas, TX; three grandchildren; sister, Margaret Larned of Denver, CO; numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside Service Thursday 10:00 a.m. EVERGREEN MORTUARY & CEMETERY, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile. A Memorial Mass is to be celebrated at a later date.
