JC Shrader
JC Shrader of Yuma died March 25, 2003, at Yuma Regional Medical Center at age 84.
Born April 14, 1918, in South Haven, Kan., he had been a Yuma Valley farmer and was retired from the Yuma County Water Users Association.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at Johnson Mortuary chapel, followed by services at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Desert Lawn.
Joe Wheeler
Joe Wheeler of Yuma died March 1, 2003, in Flagstaff at age 78.
He was born Dec. 15, 1924. No services are planned.

Joyce A. Dalton
Joyce Ann Dalton, 68, died March 26, 2003, at her Yuma residence.
Born March 23, 1935, in Queens, N.Y., she was a retired office manager.
Kammann Mortuary is handling private cremation. Inurnment will be at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park in Ventura, Calif.
Charlotte S. Tennyson
Former Yuma resident Charlotte Salyer Tennyson, 66, died March 23, 2003, in Sacramento.
Born March 4, 1937, in Arizona, she was a real estate agent. She was living in Rancho Cordova, Calif., prior to her death.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Desert Lawn.

Ivan Miller
Ivan Miller, 88, of Yuma died March 23, 2003, in Yuma.
Born May 7, 1914, in Clarinda, Iowa, he had been a building contractor.
A memorial service will be April 13 at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church.

Bernice Maggie Haile
Bernice Maggie Haile went to heaven with the Lord March 22, 2003 from her home. Born September 19, 1919 in Somerton, Arizona to the late Sanford and Laura Berry Pool, Bernice attended local schools and San Luis Rey Mission school near Oceanside, California.
She was preceded in death by her husband AC Haile, son, Anthony C. Haile, and grandson, Aaron Venable. Being a wife, mother, and devout Roman Catholic is where Bernice found her greatest peace and fulfillment.
She is survived by six children, Rodney Haile, Judy Haile, Ann Haile-Venable, David (Sharon) Haile, Greg (Becky) Haile, and Michael Haile.She will be sincerely missed by 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. There are also three survivors of her 14 siblings; Georgia Crawford, Los Angeles; Sister Bertina Pool and Sister Jessie Marie Pool of the Roman Catholic Precious Blood Order, Dayton, Ohio.
Keeping with Bernice’s wishes, a private family Mass and Rosary took place at Immaculate Conception Church. Pallbearers were Ray Haile, Ryan Haile, Jeffrey Haile, Justin Haile, Michael Haile, and Patrick Fox.
Memorial donations may be sent to Hospice of Yuma, 1824 S. 8th Avenue, Yuma, Arizona or Immaculate Conception Church.
William (Lloyd) Hooper
Lloyd Hooper, 88 passed away on March 21, 2003 at Yuma Regional Medical Center. He was born on October 9, 1914 in Yuma, Colorado. He graduated from Yuma Union High School in Yuma, Colorado, and attended Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. As a young man he moved to the San Luis Valley to work for the REA. While working for the REA, he met Joyce Branch. They were married in Taos, New Mexico November 18, 1939. They moved to Denver where for a very short time Lloyd sold Electrolux Vacuum Cleaners door to door. Shortly afterwards they moved to Creede, Colorado, where he worked in the mines and for the Phipps Ranch. While living in and around Creede they had three sons. They moved to the Hoffman farm outside of Monte Vista, Colorado in 1948, where he worked asfarm manager. While living in Monte Vista, they had another son.
The family moved to Tacna in 1953 where he worked for M&H Land Leveling. In 1954, they moved to Yuma. During 1955 the family moved into a house behind Crane School where Lloyd worked in the maintenance department until going to work for the AWC maintenance department, The Ramada Inn, and Parkview Baptist Hospital (YRMC) until retiring in 1975. Lloyd was very musically talented and was also able to build or fix just about anything.
He is survived by is wife, Joyce to whom he was married for 63 years. Their four sons, Mike (Jennifer) and John (Sue) of Yuma; Tom (Cindy) of Powell, Wyoming, and David (Eloise) of Creede, Colorado, and seven wonderful grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service Monday, March 31, 2003 at the Victory Community Church 113896 S. Ave 9E at 2:00pm
Timothy Douglas Lipp
A loving brother, uncle and friend, Timothy Douglas Lipp, born May 4, 1952, passed away in his residence at the age of 50, on March 21, 2003. He is survived by sister, Valerie Wilmot (Yuma); four brothers, Darrell (Peoria), David, Joel and George, all of Yuma; four nieces, 12 nephews, five great nieces, and nine great nephews.
Tim was a Nascar fan (#96) and also a member of the National Rifle Association.
Graveside services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2003 at Desert Lawn. Memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Yuma.
Wilhemina (Minnie) Elina Reynolds
Wilhemina Elina Reynolds (Minnie), 83, was called home to be with our Lord on March 24, 2003. She was born February 2, 1920 in Franklin, Minnesota to Frank and Sandra Isaacson.
She attended school in Grygla, Minnesota and in 1934 moved to Williston, North Dakota to work for a family farming operation. In 1943 she moved to Seattle, Washington and became a welder for the Sea-Tac Shipbuilding Corp. It was there she met Robert Scott Reynolds (Scotty) and they married in Denver, Colorado on September 26, 1947. They moved to Los Angeles, California that year and she began working for the National Biscuit Co. until 1951 when she became a mother and full-time homemaker.
During the late 50’s and the early 60’s Minnie was an avid volunteer for the Heart Fundand Cancer Society. She was also a Past President of the Washington Elementary P.T.A. in Montebello, California and was a Cub Scout Den Mother and Girl Scout Leader Assistant for several years.
In 1966 her family moved to a farm near Minatare, Nebraska. Upon her husband’s death in 1968, Minnie began working at the Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Nebraska until her retirement in May of 1997. In February of 1998, she moved to Yuma and resided at Desert Rose where she actively participated in activities, helped other residents, andwas crowned“Queen” of Desert Rose for the year 2001. A confirmed Lutheran, she also regularly attended church services at Desert Rose.
She is survived by her daughter Lynette Curry (Bill) of Yuma; son Eugene Reynolds (Peggy) of Colorado; sisters Hilya Setten of California, Mary Welch of Minnesota, Gail Morin of Florida and Ann Lair of Minnesota; grandchildren Nikki Reynolds of Washington, Dr. Jeremy Curry (Sheba) of Tucson, Vanessa Reynolds ofColorado and Kimberly Curry of Yuma; great grandchildren Jakob Curry, Jordan Curry, Bobby Martinez and Shanae Martinez all of Tucson, and loving friend George Tinsley.
She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Sandra Isaacson, husband Robert Reynolds, sister Ida Isaacson and brother Isaac Isaacson.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 29, 2003 atDesert Rose officiated by Pastor Ellerman. Inurnment will occur at a later date. Final resting place will be at East Lawn Cemetery in Minatare, Nebraska.
Minnie was loved dearly by her family and many friends, both here and in Nebraska. She will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Yuma.

JC Shrader, 84, passed away March 25, 2003 at YRMC. He was born April 14, 1918. JC wasa farmer and worked with the Yuma County Water Users Association.
JC is survived by his wife, Marcele Shrader, of Yuma; sons, JB (Laretta) Shrader, of Yuma; Michael (Jennifer) Shrader, of Sahuarita, Arizona; grandsons, Hal (Christine) Shrader, of Camarillo, California; Chris and Tom Shrader, both of Sahuarita, Arizona; granddaughter, Cyndi Shrader of Dublin, Ireland; great granddaughters, Mollie and Madison Shrader, both of Camarillo, California; niece Pat Armelin, of Tucson, Arizona; and nephew Don Alexander, of Brisbane, Australia.
Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m., Friday, March 28, 2003 at Johnson Mortuary, with services following at 10:30 a.m. Rev Dan Trautman will officiate.
Lucille O. Schroeder
Lucille O. Schroeder died March 21, 2003, at her Yuma home at age 90.
Born April 22, 1912, in Fargo, N.D., she had been a homemaker.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. April 5 in Valley View Cemetery in Vale, Ore. Johnson Mortuary is handling local arrangements.
Edwin R. Dahl
Edwin Richard Dahl of Yuma died March 24, 2003, at Yuma Regional Medical Center at age 67.
He was born June 23, 1935, in Alexandria, Minn., and was a U.S. government supply officer.

Wilhemina Reynolds
Wilhemina "Minnie" Reynolds died March 24, 2003, at her Yuma home at age 83.
Born Feb. 2, 1920, she was a retired hospital worker.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Desert Rose Retirement Residence. Burial will be at Eastlawn Cemetery in Minatare, Neb.
