CHRISTENSON, Angus B., 78, of Tucson, passed away April 20, 1998. Survived by daughters, Linda Estralla (Frank), Jean Christenson, Eleanor Murphy (Kevin), Frances Moran (Alberto) and Patricia Christenson; sons, William Christenson (Norma), James Christenson (Marjorie), Andrew Christenson, Steven Christenson (Georgette) and John Christenson; sister, Mary Higgins. Also survived by 24 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 1998 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY, (North Chapel), 204 S. Stone Ave. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 23, 1998 10:00 a.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY, (North Chapel). Interment will follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. Donald W. Earl, 96, passed away peacefully on April 19, 1998. Born in Gahanna, Ohio, August 13, 1901, he was a graduate of Ohio State University. During a 30 year career with T.J. Lipton Company, he was affiliated with, and a lifetime member of National Food Manufacturers Credit Group and National Food Credit Group. He and his wife Elizabeth moved to Tucson from New Jersey in 1969 and enjoyed 'helping out' on his daughter and son-in-law's Happy Buzzard Ranch (Sasabe, AZ). He was a member of Masonic Lodge #4, Scottish Rite, Sabbar Temple and Hi-12 Club. His wife of 61 years, Elizabeth Harrison Earl died in May 1987 and son-in-law, Donald Janson in November 1997. He is survived by daughter, Nancy Janson of Tucson; granddaughter, Roberta Janson of San Francisco; sister, Ruth Earl of Gahanna, Ohio; nieces and nephews, all of Ohio. Friends may call at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave. (at Magee) from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, 1998, with a Masonic service at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be in Gahanna, Ohio.

HALL, Lucille, 88, of Tucson, passed away Saturday, April 18, 1998. She is survived by her daughters, Bobbie J. Hall, Willie E. Fears; grandsons, Nathan H. Fears, Michael A. Fears; two great-grandsons; three brothers, one niece and four nephews. Memorial Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 23, 1998 at Trinity Presbyterian Church. Private burial was at South Lawn Cemetery. Arrangements by HEATHER MORTUARY.

HOLMES, Wayne P., was born June 29, 1915 in Harrisburg, Arkansas and died peacefully Saturday, April 18, 1998. Wayne is survived by his daughter, Patty (John) Ross of Allen, TX; sons, Jerry (Sandy) of Tucson and Donald (Nancy Scott) of Phoenix; grandchildren, Steven, Randy, Colin and Cailin; great-grandchildren, Katie and Morgan; sister, Nedra Hitt. Mr. Holmes came to Tucson in 1927 with his family. Wayne attended Roskruge Elementary School, Mansfield Junior High School and is a graduate of Tucson High School. Wayne joined the Tucson Police Department in 1942 and retired in 1963 after 20 years of service. After retiring, he joined the University of Arizona Police Department in 1964 and retired in 1980. He also proudly served 2 1/2 years in the Marine Corp during WWII. He was a member of the American Legion, Post #7 and the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #1. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the Beacon Foundation for the mentally retarded, 25 E. Drachman, Tucson, AZ 85705. Arrangements by SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY.

JONES, Conrad H. 'Nino' 59, suddenly left his earthly life on Sunday April 19, 1998.Beloved husband of Patti Sanger-Jones; son of William (deceased) and Juanita Jones; father of Miyoko and Dino Jones; stepfather of Carol Conrad and Tenea Inukai. Mr. Jones also leaves two grandchildren, Annabelle and Jill Jones; seven surviving brothers and sisters, Bill, Judy, Frank, Sarah, Waymond, Lonnie, Autrey and may beloved family members. Mr. Jones is the composer of great recordings such as Donna, Come On Lets Go, Turkish Town, and American arrangements of the song La Bamba for the late Ritchie Valens. Nino touched so many lives and will be greatly missed. Soar with Tonka love of my life (one whitewall tire). Arrangements to be handled through Heather Mortuary. LUTZELBERGER, Terrie P., 52, died April 17, 1998. Wife of G. Christopher Lutzelberger; mother of Suzanne McDonald of Syracuse, NY, Cindy Terpening of Tucson, Karen Lilly of Marcellus, NY, Robert D. Stone Jr. of Raleigh, NC, Kyle C. Lutzelberger of Tucson; daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Randall Pease Jr. and sister of Joan Hubbard, Marcia Alvord, Karen Rosen and Kathleen Crawford all of CT; eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Service, 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 22, 1998 at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, with Pastor Duane Floro officiating. McCRACKEN, Jacqueline Laura, 26, of Tucson, passed away on April 17, 1998. She is survived by her husband, Anthony Campbell McCracken; daughters, Katrina E. McCracken, Jennifer K. McLEMORE, R. Scott, 44, of Tucson, died April 19, 1998. Preceded in death by his mother, Barbara. Survived by his father, Bobby and his wife, Carol; sister, Megan; daughter, Sara (Luis) Alvarado; grandson, Luis; niece and nephew, Jesse and Alexa Orwig. Also survived by his grandmother, Amelia Johnson and aunts, uncles and cousins and Peewee the cat. Graveside Services will be at All Faiths Memorial Park, Thursday, April 23, 1998 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor William Killian officiating. Vicki Sue Thibodeaux, 45, of Phoenix, died on April 11, 1998, after a courageous year fighting cancer. She was born in Tucson in 1953 and graduated from CDO High School in 1970. Co-workers from her job at the Maricopa County, Department of Parks and Recreations provided her incredible support and friendship before and during her illness. She is survived by her mother, Evelyn Thibodeaux of Tucson; her father, Johnny Thibodeaux of New Iberia, LA; her brothers, Tracy of Benson and David and Wade of Tucson; her daughter, Heather Settle; her son, Casey Settle, both of Phoenix and her granddaughters, Sierra and Haven. A fund has been established to plant a tree in the Maricopa County Park System dedicated to Vicki's memory. Contributions may be made to Rhonda Woodward, c/o Maricopa County Parks and Recreation, 3474 West Durango St., Phoenix, AZ 85009.

WHITE, J. Boyd 'Buck', 87, of Tucson, AZ, died April 19, 1998. Survived by Natalet, his wife of 65 years; children, Jim, Jerry (Thirl) and Janie Bauer; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and brother-in-law, Arzell Warren. Mr. White was a member of Oro Valley Church of the Nazarene. Friends may call at the ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave. (at Magee) from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 22, 1998 with funeral services at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Ross Hayslip will officiate; eulogy by Dr. Jerry W. White, son of Mr. White. WIGGINTON, Ruth, 81, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, April 18, 1998 following a valiant battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Jim Wigginton, owner of Commercial Printers. Born December 26, 1916 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, she was a long-time Arizona resident. Ruth was a graduate of Phoenix Junior College where she was a member of the Theta Sorority. She was an active member of Casas Adobes Baptist Church. She participated in Eastern Star and Olana Temple, Daughters of the Nile. She is survived by three children, Virginia (Randy) Smith of Houston, TX, Jim (Donna) Wigginton and Carol (Tom) Carpenter of Tucson, AZ; six grandchildren, Kimberly Harrison, Carol Smith, Peggy Williams, Bruce Wigginton, Becky Wigginton, Jeff Carpenter and Amy Carpenter; two great-grandchildren, Taliesin and Tegan Harrison; sister, Virginia Ryden of Minnesota and sister-in- law, Ruth Mitchell. Memorial Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 22, at Casas Adobes Baptist Church Worship Center, 2131 W. Ina Road, with Dr. Steven L. Dowdle officiating. Arrangements by BRING'S MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 236 S. Scott.

WILSON, Linda A., 89, of Tucson, died April 19, 1998. She is survived by daughter, Elaine (Walt) Roberts of Tucson; grandchildren, Tom Evan III of Monterey, CA, Doug Evans of Tucson, Melinda Richey of Tucson and great-grandchild, Ashley Richey of Tucson; sisters, Dora Young of Uhrichsville, OH, Katherine Rice of Tucson, Clara Paisley of Parma, OH, Maye Bullins of Oak Ridge, TN, Grace DeVoe of Dayton OH and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Wilson was a member of Mariposa Chapter of Eastern Star and a substitute teacher for Catalina Day School. There will be a memorial service Wednesday, April 22 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Rev. Lew Runion officiating. Arrangements by VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 2545 N. Mary Elizabeth Comstock, 79, of Tucson, born in Nashville, Arkansas on October 4, 1918 and died Saturday, April 18, 1998 in Tucson. Mary is survived by her sister, Martha Staples of Little Rock, ARK; son, John Comstock and her grandchildren, Joe and Jeanie Comstock. Mary moved to Tucson and was employed by Southern Pacific Railroad for 35 years. She was a member of the St. James United Methodist Women's Group. She volunteered at hospitals to speak to ostomy patients and donated to many charities. Funeral Services, 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 24, 1998 at St. James United Methodist Church, 3255 N. Campbell with burial to follow at South Lawn Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends, Thursday, April 23 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY, 5401 S. Park Ave.

DIRENFELD, Harry P., passed away on April 21, 1998 at age 94. He was born in McKeesport, PA. He then moved to Ohio where he met his wife, Rose who has since preceded him in death. They were married for 66 years. They moved to Tucson in 1948. He founded Dee's Shoes in 1953. He was extremely active in B'nai B'rith Men in both OH and AZ. He is a former member of the Board of Trustees of Congregation Anshei Israel and has been a member and supporter since his arrival in Tucson. He organized and started the Arizona Post Men's Bowling League which continues today. He is survived by his son, Ted (Judy) Direnfeld; daughter, Sally (Lee) Kreida; grandchildren, Robert (Amy), Debra and Barbara Direnfeld, Alan (Kathy) Kreida, Karen (Marvin) Shearer and six great-grandchildren. Graveside Service, Wednesday, April 22, 1998, 2:30 p.m., Congregation Anshei Israel Section, EVERGREEN MORTUARY & CEMETERY, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile, with Rabbi Arthur R. Oleisky and Cantor Emeritus Maurice Falkow of Congregation Anshei Israel officiating. DZUBAN, Walter, 80, of Tucson, succumb to cancer April 21, 1998, with his wife of 56 years, Arline and brother, Ted by his side. Born December 7, 1917 in Philadelphia, PA. Survived by wife, Arline; brother, Ted; daughters, Kathi Dwyer, Lori (Jim) Oien and greatly loved grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Amanda and Elizabeth. Walt came to Tucson in 1947 and worked for San Xavier Rock and Sand, M.N. Sundt, L.M. White, Southern Pacific R.R. and was a member of OPER. ENG. Local #428. In retirement, Pop-pop spent much of his time woodworking, crafting cradles, bookcases, many of which he gladly gave away and tended to his daisies. His extra time was spent, ' holding court' at the Grant Rd. Lumber Mill. He will be greatly missed by all the lives he has touched. Great thanks goes to Kathy J., his hospice nurse. Memorial Services will be held at North Minister Pres. Church, 2450 E. Ft. Lowell, Friday, April 24 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Carondelet St. Mary's Hospice, 1802 W. St. Mary's, 85745.

GREEN, Barbara M., passed away on April 19, 1998. She was born on September 8, 1930 in Deming, New Mexico. She worked as a Registered Nurse for St. Joseph's Hospital, U of A Student Health Center, UMC OB-Gyn Clinic, Texas Tech Medical Center and Dr. Gregory Maciulla. She is survived by her son, James A. Green II of Boise, Idaho; three daughters, Nancy Green, Mary Ann Christ (John), Beverly Green; one beloved grandson, John Allen Christ, all of Tucson; 'granddaughter, ' Michelle Christ of Knoxville, TN; two cousins, Margaret Daley (Brooks) and Marilyn Crow both from the Phoenix area and other numerous cousins. The family wishes to thank all of the nurses and doctors associated with GHMA/Partners Health Group for the care they gave to Barbara. A memorial service for friends will be held at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway), on Thursday, April 23 at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the American Lung Association, the Alzheimer's Association or to Casa de los Ninos.

Scott A. Henderson
June 27, 1942 – April 21, 1997
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, April 25th at 1:00 p.m. at St. Augustine Cathedral. Scott died at Long Beach Hospital in California last year after a brief bout with leukemia. Scott moved to California after earning his Bachelors Degree in Music Education and Masters in French Horn at the University of Arizona and was working on his doctoral at USC. He taught music in California at Camarillo High where he developed the innovative 'Today Generation' choral group. He was the Director of Concerts and Public Affairs at the University of Arizona in 1971 before accepting a position at Los Cerritos College in 1974. He was well-known for his operatic roles in California, Nevada, New Mexico and Arizona. Scott was an active member of the Faculty Senate, served as president and represented the Southern California Teacher's Association at the Legislature in Sacramento. He chaired the Cerritos College Music Department and jointly coordinated the Applied Music Program with his protege, Christine Lopez. He is survived by his wife, Michele; his children, Megan and Michael; stepchildren, Rachel, Ben and Jason; his mother, Rosemary Henderson; sisters, Carol Evans and Roda Nordin; nephew, Darin Evans; nieces, Tammy Nordin-Garcia and Melissa Schubert and great-niece, Kaila Schubert. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Maria Franco and brother, Michael Henderson.

LAIN, Lucille K. (Hunt), passed away April 13, 1998. She is survived by her son, Arthur Lain Jr; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren and a daughter-in-law. She is preceded in death by her husband, a son and a granddaughter. Funeral Services will be held at Grand View Memorial Gardens in Champaign, IL. A Memorial Service will be held on April 25, 1998, 2:00 p.m. at New Life Christian Center, 8900 E. Golf Links Rd, Tucson, AZ.
