HARDIN, Lowell 'L.E.' 84 years of age, of Greenville, formerly of Tucson, Arizona, died Saturday evening, May 2, 1998 at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany. He was a native of Hardinsburg, Indiana and retired locomotive engineer for Conrail. He was a greeter at Wal-Mart in Tucson. Survivors include son, James Hardin, Sr. of Greenville, IN; daughters, Shirlee Egnew of Indianapolis, Donna Montgomery of San Diego, CA; mother, Myrtle Jane Hardin of New Albany; brothers, Ernst P. Hardin of Gilbertsville, KY, Robert L. Hardin of Louisville, KY; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Visitation was held at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring St., New Albany, Monday, May 4, 1998. Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Kraft Chapel, with cremation to follow.

William A. Lace, of Tucson, went home to be with our Lord May 2, 1998 following a long illness. Bill was born in Chicago February 18, 1910. He moved to California as a child and resided there for 50 years. He has been a resident of Tucson since 1975. Bill served in the U.S. Navy and was stationed in the South Pacific. WALKER, Robert Lawson. Born August 12, 1918 in South Carolina, died May 2, 1998 after a long illness in Tucson. He was the beloved husband of 42 years of Patricia and the beloved father of Thomas (Barbara) of Mesa and Tracy Walker James (Mark) of Tucson. and five grandchildren, Robert and Philip Walker, Jesse, John, and Tamra James. Also surviving, a cousin, Mrs. W.C. Keels (Catherine) of Charleston, South Carolina. Bob came to Tucson in 1947 after serving three years in the Army in World War II. He worked for Acme Printing Co. before starting his own business, Arizona Lithographers in 1952. In 1956 he opened Walker Lithocraft, Inc. and remained there until 1979 when the business became a division of Isbell Printing Co. Bob remained with the company until he retired in 1991. In 1990 he received the Tucson Lithographers Association's Lyle Isbell Award for his contributions to the industry and community.

Walter 'Aloysius' Antonio Wdowiak
Born in Wilburham, MA on December 4, 1929 lost an extremely hard battle with lung cancer on May 1, 1998.
Walter served 5 1/2 years in the U.S. Navy and taught high school and college for 31 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Karen 'Guy' Wdowiak; two daughters, Catherine (Alexis Hernandez), and Leslie (James) Marley; son, William Daniel; grandson, Jordan Daniel; sisters, Ruth Lamar Ponchetti, and Irene Setterstrom; many nieces and nephews; also the beloved friends, who saw him through to the end, Paula and Larry Reilly, Joe and Brenda Woolridge, Robin and Craig Miles, Renee and Ulus Strayhorn, Bryce Womack, Selina Littler, Sarah, Ellis and Armando Duarte, Linda Larson, Betty Stash, Debbie Ponchetti, Mark Adams, Eddie 'Beano' and Angie Sanchez.
The Wdowiak family extends its warmest appreciation to his doctor and his staff, the fourth floor nurses and staff at Columbia Northwest Medical Center, Captain Joseph P.
