Kornegay; children, Michael Allen, Sylvia Lynn, Robert Thomas, Annette Cynthia Schunk and Timothy Wayne; brother, Stanley Gleich; sister, Betty Kalina; four grandchildren, Amber Naomi, Eddie, Shay Lee and Wesley; one great-grandson, Salvatore. LARSON, Ruth E., 72, of Tucson, died May 17, 1998. Mrs. Larson is survived by her children, Jeff (Barbara) Larson of Minneapolis, MN, Janet Larson of Denver, CO; sisters, Norma Klinkel of Mesa, AZ and Gladys Amert of Madison, SD; brothers, Leslie 'Fritz' E. (Erlac) Jensen of Custer, SD and Glen D. Jensen of Fredonia, NY. She moved to Tucson 10 years ago from Souix Falls, SD. MANGELSDORF, Philip, 74, died May 15, 1998. Survived by his wife, Ann Hughart Branham; his children, Caroline, Katherine (Bob Rowley), Matthew (Regina Wucinich) and Elizabeth (Susan Zieff), their mother, Anne Mangelsdorf and his grandchildren, Nicole and Alexander Mangelsdorf. Also survived by his sisters, Alberta Geiger, Clara Jane Kerns and Pat Jung; his brother, George Mangelsdorf and many nieces and nephews, as well as two stepsons, Mike and John Branham and his brothers-in-law, Barry and Peter Hughart. MCCLURE, Marie Kathryn, 83, was called home by our Lord on May 17, 1998. Preceded in death by husband, Robert (1977); daughter, Patricia (1986) and two of her great-grandchildren. Survived by daughters, Judee (Jerry) Small of Tucson and Shirlee Henson of California; sister, The lma Luthy of Ohio. Also survived by 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren. Marie was a member of St. Ambrose Church for almost 40 years. She danced for a time with the Golden Steppers. Sincere thanks to El Dorado Hospital for their wonderful care in these last few months. ROBERTSON, Harry A., age 78, of Tucson, passed away May 17, 1998. Harry was born on July 6, 1919 in Alliance, OH. He was a graduate of Wooster and Case Western Reserve. He was the founder and owner of SAYCO Heating and Cooling. He has been a Tucson resident for 54 years and an active member of Trinity Presbyterian Church and Catalina Rotary Club. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Melissa; daughters, Melanie (Hugh) Rupprecht of Tucson and Kae (Bill) Somers of Durham, NC and one son, Harry A. (Connie) Robertson III of Tucson. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Stacy, Kevin, Julie, Dan, Melissa, Drew and Eric. One sister, Amy Clugston of Eugene, OR also survives him. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Wednesday, May 20, 1998 at 4:00 p.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 400 E. University. SABATINOS, Jr., Frank, 85, of Tucson, died May 16, 1998. Survived by wife, Rose B. Sabatinos of Tucson; son, James F.(Eileen) Sabatinos of Cherry Point, NC; granddaughter, Adrienne of Seattle, WA; sisters, Mary Hansen and Betty Streckfusz both of Chicago, IL. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church for 57 years, serving as an usher for 51 years, he was chairman of the Parish Bishop's Charity and Development Drive for many years. He was the manager of Elks Lodge 385 for 17 years. He was at 4th Degree life member of the Knights of Columbus. Funeral Mass Friday, 11:00 a.m. SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Russell Thompson, age 82, died peacefully at his home on Sunday, May 17, 1998 following a short illness. He was preceded in death by his wife Bernice. He is survived by three children: Joan Darnell (George Patrick), Molly Rising (Charles) and Russell E. Thompson (Deborah), five grandchildren: Patrick Darnell (Beth), Kindle and Ethan Rising, Jennifer and Mark Thompson, one great-granddaughter: Audrey Darnell, brother: Edward Thompson. Russell was a 50 year resident of Tucson. He and his wife Bernice owned and operated Thompson's Trailer Town during the late 40's and early 50's. During the years his family was growing up, he served as a 4-H leader. Russell carried mail and worked in the accounting department of the U.S. Post Office from which he retired in 1982. He was a long time member of First Christian Church where his friendly smile and warm hand shake greeted worshipers each Sunday morning. Russell was a member of the Elk's Club and a volunteer for Mobile Meals. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 7:00 p.m. at First Christian Church, 740 E. Speedway. Reception immediately following the service. In his memory, donations may be made to First Christian Church. Family Graveside Services at Evergreen Cemetery, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile.

WHIPPLE, Barbara, age 83, formerly of 101 Walnut Street, Shelby, Ohio died Sunday, May 17, 1998 in the Heritage Care Center after a short illness. She was born September 1, 1914 in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of James George and Bertha (Eichorn) Durkin. Mrs. Whipple lived most of her life in Cleveland moving to Shelby in 1991 after living 17 years in Tucson, Arizona. She was a member of A.A.R.P. and Order of Eastern Star Euclid City Chapter #556. She was preceded in death by husband, Kenneth Whipple in 1991; two brothers, Clarence Durkin of Shelby, Ohio and James Durkin of Cleveland, Ohio. She is survived by nieces and nephews. ABNEY, Marie Korobko, 77, of Tucson, Arizona, died Monday, May 18, 1998. Marie was a 1st Lieutenant in the Army during World War II. She was preceded in death by her son, John Korobko, Jr. in May, 1996 and her mother, Theresa J. Spencer in May, 1997. Survived by her daughter, Gail (Raffie) Berberian of Tucson; granddaughter, Tanya Stolz of Aptos, CA; brother, Robert (Vivian) Spencer of Fairbanks, AK; numerous relatives and friends. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 21, 1998 at East Lawn Palms Cemetery, 5801 E. Grant Rd., with Pastor Sharon Ragland of St. Paul's United Methodist Church officiating. ANGULO, Antonio E., 88, passed away May 16, 1998. He was born September 1, 1909 in Tucson, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lydia E. Angulo; brother, Gabriel (Anita) Angulo; sister, Mercedes (Fernando) Laos. Survived by sister, Graciela (John) Montano, many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was the son of Gabriel Angulo and Gertrudis Elias Angulo, both of prominent pioneer families in Northern Sonora and Southern Arizona during the 1850's. Antonio worked for Baffert & Leon Wholesale Grocery, the U.S. Internal Revenue Service, Old Pueblo Transit Co., and Pima County Highway Department. During retirement, he volunteered at University Medical Center, as a translator and had received a 25-year award for his volunteerism. He was a life member of Elks Lodge No. 385 and was a longtime usher at SS. Peter and Paul Church. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 21, 1998 from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY, (South Chapel), 240 S. Stone Ave. with Rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. Mass will be offered on Friday, May 22, 1998, 9:00 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 1946 E. Lee. Interment will follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. BLOOM, Cortez 'Cordy' 64, of Tucson, peacefully left and joined our Lord on May 15, 1998. He is survived by his loving family, wife, Mary; sons, David (Helen), Darrin (Cheryl) and Dale; granddaughters, Kristen, Brittney and Stephani; brother, Albert; sisters, Grace and Virginia and many loving friends. CHAPMAN, Wayne Ralph, 43 years old, died Saturday, May 16, 1998 in Tucson. Born on December 8, 1954 in Tucson, Arizona. Survived by his mother, Marcella Jeanette Chapman; sister, Kathleen Chapman; nephew, Anthony Wayne Chapman; beloved Rotti, Tori. James J. 'Jack' Coile
Former general superintendent of Twin Buttes copper mine, died Sunday, May 17 at his Green Valley home. He was 72.
Mr. Coile was an Air Force veteran and a graduate of the University of Colorado. His career as a mining engineer and mine manager began in Grants, N.M. in 1954. Over the years, it took his family to Thunder Bay, Ontario; Brittania Beach, British Columbia; Tucson, Denver and Albuquerque, all for The Anaconda Company; and to Boise, Idaho for Morrison-Knudsen Inc.
He and his wife, Helen returned to their beloved Santa Cruz Valley in 1990. There, in the 1960s and '70s, he had helped to develop Anaconda's Twin Buttes open pit mine. He was well-known in the industry for his expertise in moving rock via conveyor belts. In the community he was known as a Sahuarita School Board member, 1967-'71; as a president of the Sahuarita-Green Valley Optimists Club; and as and artisan of turquoise and silver jewelry.
One of his legacies still graces the horizon south of Tucson every holiday season: It was his idea to light a huge metal Christmas tree at Twin Buttes that can be seen for miles on Interstate 19.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Helen of Green Valley; his daughters, Norma Coile (Jeff Weinstein) of Tucson and Eileen Wavra (Brian) of Portland, Ore. and Boise; sister, Martha Copeland (Roy) of Lakeridge, VA.; niece, Cathy Copeland-Linker of Blacksburg, VA.; and many other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 22 at Valley Presbyterian Church, 2800 S. Camino del Sol in Green Valley. Remembrances may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 40 N.Swan Road, Suite 856, Tucson, 85711; or Carondelet Hospice of Green Valley, 1055 N. La Canada Drive, No. 101, Green Valley, 85614.

Bernard Blake Dwyer, M.D., Age 86, of Tucson, died May 14, 1998. He is survived by wife, Rozanne; brother, Robert E.; sons, Robert B. (Bernadette) and Thomas; daughters, Jean (Abbott) Harle, Joanne Larsen, Kathleen Griffin and Dorothy (Hugh) Williams, by stepsons, Jeffrey (Marianne) Davis, Gary (Ann) Davis and Craig (Jan) Davis and by 18 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A graduate of the University of Iowa School of Medicine, Class of 1936, he practiced in Preston and Clinton, Iowa until 1961. After moving to Tucson, he practiced in Casas Adobes until his retirement in 1980. A Memorial Service will be conducted at St. Philip's in the Hills on Thursday, May 21 at 3:00 p.m. Contributions in his memory may be made to Carondelet Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 13170, Tucson, AZ 85732 or to St. Elizabeth of Hungary Clinic, 140 W. Speedway, Tucson, AZ 85705 where Dr. Dwyer donated his services for many years. Arrangements by EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY.

ELEFANTE, Joseph T. Jr., died May 18, 1998. Co-owner of Mama Louisa's Italian Restaurant with his wife Suzanne. Funeral Mass Saturday, May 23, 1998, 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 215 S.
