Clarence W. 'Chip' Odell III
January 20, 1949 – May 30, 1996
The only sadness Chip ever caused was his sudden death two years ago. He was always smiling not just with his face but with his entire range of physical mannerisms as if his whole body was one big smile and would laugh when he moved. He was a prankster and with rooms filled with trophies his athletic prowess whether he won or lost made it a pleasure to watch or play with him which perhaps made him a winner in whatever sport he chose in terms of the kindness in his soul and the ability to enjoy life. Everyday was like a holiday for Chip, he radiated joy and excitement no matter what he was up to. Unfortunately for all of us those days are over. But he leaves a lasting dimple in our hearts and will be recognized anytime you see someone smile.
'CHIPSTER'
Nights are long since you went away I think about you all through the day
My Buddy, My Buddy, nobody quite so true.
Miss your voice, the touch of your hand and I long to know if you understand,
My Buddy, My Buddy, your buddy misses you.
There will be no closure till we meet at the rainbows end.
