DICKEY, Chanel Elizabeth, age 3, of Tucson, died June 6, 1998. FLOYD, Chester T., of Tucson, died June 6, 1998. Chet was born November 11, 1916 in Summers, AR, and was a switchman for Southern Pacific Railroad for 42 years. He is preceded in death by first wife, Catherine Floyd; and sons, Thomas A. and George B. Floyd. Surviving Chet is his wife, Rosemary Floyd; daughters, Pat Carpenter, Barb (Angel) Perez, Frank (Jack) Schmidt, Marg (Don) Brean, Kate Floyd; sons, Joe (Ann) Floyd, Mike (Linda) Floyd, Jim Floyd, John Floyd, all of Tucson; stepdaughters, Kathy Lindly of Tucson, Connie Goble of Phoenix, Carole Maloney of Las Vegas; a special nephew, Altie Labor of Tucson; 29 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 10, at Abundant Life Christian Center, 300 E University, with Pastor Dan Gill officiating. Arrangements by VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 327-6341.

KROHN, Clarence H., 81, of Tucson, AZ, passed away June 3, 1998. Born in Aurora, IL, on September 24, 1916. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Edris; son, Richard and daughter-in-law, Kathleen; granddaughter, Kelly; grandson, Robert; cousin, Gladys Unruh. During WWII he served from 1941-1946 as Transportation Officer in the European Sector. Mr. and Mrs. Krohn moved to Tucson in 1978 after 40 years with Sears, where he retired as Midwest Comptroller and Assistant Comptroller of Sears. Memorial Services will be held Thursday, June 11, 1998 at the Lutheran Church of the Ascension, 1220 W. Magee Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Exchange Club of North Tucson or the charity of your choice. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave (at Magee).

LA MUTH, Margaret M., 78, of Tucson, AZ, died June 5, 1998. She is survived by her husband, George La Muth; children, George La Muth, Jr (Barbara) of Johnstown, OH; Sara De Cramer (Richard) of Northfield, MN; sister, Sarah A. Morrison (Jack) of Tucson, AZ; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by son, Howard B. La Muth; and daughter, Lynn M. Machette; parents; four brothers; and two sisters. Memorial Mass will be offered on Friday, June 12, 1998, 8:30 a.m., at St. Pius X Church, 1800 N Camino Pio Decimo. Father James Coleman will officiate. In lieu of flowers donations may be made, in the memory of Margaret La Muth, to the American Heart Assoc., 5325 E Pima, Tucson, AZ 85712.

LEGGETT, Edna Earle, passed away on May 23, 1998. She was born in Belhaven, N.C. on March 7, 1922. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.E. and Thelma Leggett. She is survived by her uncle, Harold Windley (Durham, N.C.) and cousins, Martha Victoria Taylor (VA), Nancy Fulghum and Joseph Leggett (N.C.) and Mary Elizabeth Stewart (NJ). Edna attended Duke University until the family moved to Tucson in 1941, and she enrolled at the University of Arizona. She was employed by TUSD as a secretary until her retirement. Edna was a member of the Sunday Evening Club, Pima County Retired Teachers Association, a life member of Mu Delta Chapter of the Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority. A Memorial Service will be held at Catalina United Methodist Church Chapel on Tuesday, June 9, 1998 at 2:00 p.m. All her friends are invited. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Edna's memory to the Catalina United Methodist Memorial Fund or a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements by EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY.

LEWIS, Alice E., 86, of Tucson, died June 5, 1998. Resident of Tucson for 48 years, Alice retired from Tucson Medical Center. Mother of Richard B. Lewis and Patricia A. McPheron, both of Tucson. Predeceased by son, Ronald Lewis. Survived by daughter-in-law, Vicki Lewis; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Graveside Service Tuesday, June 9, 1998 at 11:30 a.m., at Holy Hope Cemetery with Father George Connelly officiating. MURTHA, Stephen A., born April 24, 1932, passed away June 6, 1998. Survived by his three children, Arthur (Rosanna), Angela, and Gina; his grandson, Joshua; and his sister, Catherine Southern. 'Murt' was a dedicated firefighter for 29 years and is also survived by his many friends of the Tucson Fire Department–they were his family, too. Steve dedicated his life to helping and protecting people. His kindness and courage will always be remembered. He will be missed greatly. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 9, at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway. Survived by wife, Vera Palmer; daughter, Shaelene Goldman; son, Frank James Palmer, all of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, Shannon Garber, Ryan Kirk and Megan Kirk; great-grandson, Michael Garber; brother, Jack Palmer. RUDER, Shirley Jean, 63, passed away June 3, 1998 in Hastings, Michigan. A former resident of Tucson, she was a 1953 graduate of Amphitheater High School. She married Donald W. Ruder in Tucson on August 19, 1961. They moved to Michigan in 1966. Survived by husband, Donald; son, David of Tucson; daughter, Deborah of Michigan; grandson, Aaron Ryan Ruder of Michigan; sister, Catherine Durham of Tucson; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, June 9 (at a time yet to be determined) at the Green Valley Memorial Gardens in Green Valley, Arizona. WELLS, Donna Marie, 42, died June 5, 1998. In loving memory of Donna Marie Wells. Mrs. Wells moved from Lake Havasu in 1969. She is survived by her husband, Richard Wells; children, Noella Huepers, Rebecca Green, and Janette Walls; grandchild, Royce Huepers; mother, Sally Potter; sister, Cathy Maerker; brother, Tracy Overhulser. CONKLIN, Mary Louise, passed away at Elderhaven Care Home on June 4, 1998. A Tucson resident since 1968, born in Gould City, MI. before moving to Lansing, MI. She worked for the Michigan State Highway Commission, retiring in 1968. Preceded in death by husband Max J. Conklin, brothers Roderick W. Lyman and Ben Lyman; a sister, Phylis Arnett. Survived by a brother John A. Lyman, of Sierra Vista; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Mary will be laid to rest in the Lyman family plot at Deepdale Cemetery in Lansing, MI. Services in Tucson will be a funeral mass at Our Mother of Sorrows Church, 1800 S. Kolb, on Wednesday June 10, 1998 at 2PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Mary L. Conklin to Elderhaven Care Home, 2501 N. Soldier Trail, Tucson, AZ 85749.

Clyde W. Courtney, Lt. Col. U.S.A.F. Retired, born October 16, 1923 in Hillsboro, Oregon to Neaville Bartlett and Medford E. Courtney. Entered into eternal rest on June 7, 1998 after a valiantly fought battle with brain cancer in Tucson, Arizona. Preceded in death by his mother, father, and brother Clifford 'Kip' Courtney. Clyde is survived by his loving wife of eight years, Barbara. His children, Stephen Courtney, Ramona, CA, Claudia Courtney, San Diego, CA, Cindy (Walter) Baker, Tucson, AZ, Louis Courtney, Redwood City, CA and Clyde Courtney, Jr. of Tucson, AZ. Stepchildren, Debbie Wilson, Albuquerque, NM., Monty Smith, Dallas, TX and Kelli (Ray) Jimenez, Harlingen, TX, and sister-in-law, Bobbie Courtney of Ft. Worth, TX. Grandchildren, Michelle Courtney, C.B. Baker, and Ward Baker. Step grandchildren, Ally Wilson, Cassy Wilson, Alyssa Jimenez and Marissa Jimenez. Niece and nephews, aunt, uncle, cousins and his flying partner, Barry Ams and friend, Dick Stevens, his golfing friends of many years Wendell Eckholm, Don Warburton and Bill Lamson. Clyde will also by missed by his extended family that he played golf, dined, traveled, played cards and had a wonderful time with these past eight years. Clyde moved to the San Diego area at an early age and graduated from Sweetwater Union High School, in National City, California in 1941. He served proudly in the USAF for 23 years. He flew many combat missions in WWII in Europe, and was awarded the Silver Oak Leaf Cluster in England at the age of 21 along with numerous other awards throughout his career. Clyde and his brother Kip were both members of the 4238th Strategic Wing at Barksdale AFB, La., where they competed in SAC Bombing-Navigation-Air Refueling competition. Suddenly, in 1964 Clyde was forced to retire because of an unexplained partial loss of eyesight at age 40. He moved to Tucson and entered the U of A where he finished his undergraduate and graduate work. In February 1969 he received his Masters of Education and became a Guidance Counselor at Flowing Wells High School for several years. Not foregoing his love of flying he built radio control planes for many years, and then Clyde and his partner Barry begin to build and fly Ultralights, which they were still flying until Clyde's illness in November of '97. Clyde is a member of the 301st Bomb Group Veterans Assoc., Radio Control Club of Tucson and the Taylor Field Flying Club. The family wants to thank all of you for your support especially during Clyde's illness these past few months. Clyde loved his country, his family and his friends, and we are all better off for knowing him. Memorial Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, 1998 in DM Airforce Base in Chapel #1. A family service will be held at the National Cemetery in Phoenix, AZ. Arrangements by BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

FLESHMAN, Ena Kathleen, passed away June 7, 1998 after a long and courageous struggle with heart disease. She was born in Little Taunton Devon, England on March 19, 1916. She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, her beloved husband, Ronald Holman and an infant son. Ena was trained as a surgical nurse and first nursed in Middle Sex Hospital, London. After marrying her second husband 'Doc' Fleshman she lived in Europe and cared for babies in many USAF Hospitals. She has resided in Tucson since 1960. Ena is survived by her adopted family, Anne and Derik Kinne, Raymond Kinne, Peter and Deborah and her 'Treasures' Derick, Peter Jr., and Amanda. Ena was a gift to us, she brought love, friendship, wisdom and humor into ourlives for 20 wonderful years. She will be greatly missed. Services will be private. SCHOEN, Lucille R., 93, died June 7, 1998. Survived by her son, Bill Richards and his wife, Pat; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Friends may call 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, 1998 at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 E. Grant Rd. HARPER, Calvin Earl, one of 11 children. He was born in the California mission town of San Juan Bautista on February 10, 1927. He passed away June 5, 1998 in Tucson, AZ. He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Betty (AKA Scoup); daughters, Christy (Dennis) of CA, Patricia (Larry) of Tucson; sons, James (Lila) of WA. Also survived by sister, Helen and brothers, Donald and Robert; grandchildren, Gerald, Schuyler and Artemus; numerous nieces and nephews also survive, including his namesake, Tommy Calvin. Calvin was a Navy veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict. After graduating from San Juan State in 1956, he became an aerospace engineer with several companies in CA. Joining Hughes Aircraft in 1969 and transferring to Tucson in 1972. He retired in 1992. He enjoyed reading history and his companion cats. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Monday, June 22, 1998 at HUDGEL'S SWAN FUNERAL HOME, 22nd and Swan. Because of Calvin's love of cats, the family has requested in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Humane Society, or any animal welfare charity of your choice.

JIMENEZ, Yvonne M., 31, of Tucson, passed away June 08, 1998. Preceded in death by Nicholas Alejo. Survived by husband, Jose A. Jimenez Jr.; parents, Freddie and Vickie Martinez; sister, Cyvia Lewis (Jeff); brother, Freddie Martinez Jr. (Jill); niece, Sofia Martinez. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 1998 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY, (South Chapel), 240 S. Stone Avenue with Rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. Mass will be offered on Thursday, June 11, 1998, 9:00 a.m. at Most Holy Trinity, 1300 N. Greasewood Rd. Interment will follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. KORSECK, Alexander John, 91, of Tucson, died Sunday, June 7, 1998. He is survived by his wife, Grayce; children, Alana Hubbard of Payette, ID, Mike Korseck of Gig Harbor, WA; sisters, Loretta, Mary, Vicky, all of NY; five grandchildren and nine step-grandchildren. Mr. Korseck was a World War II, US Navy veteran. He retired from the Boeing Corporation in 1970 after 25 years of service. He was Past Commander of VFW Post #7761 in Bothell, WA and was a member of American Legion Post 36 and B.P.O. Elks Lodge #2532. Private Graveside Services will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix. Arrangements by HEATHER MORTUARY, a certified after-care provider.

O'DONNELL, Lillian, 95, a long time resident of Morenci, Michigan, died in Tucson, Arizona in her home at Leisure Living on June 7, 1998. Mrs. O'Donnell was born in Dane County, Wisconsin in 1903, the only child of John and Agnus Dalton Moran. She attended Edgewood Academy in Madison, Wisconsin from first grade through her graduation. She worked for several years as a medical secretary at Lila Post Montgomery Hospital in Battle Creek, Michigan, where she met her future husband. In 1930 she married Francis O'Donnell. They moved to Morenci, Michigan and opened O'Donnell Chevrolet and Pontiac Sales. She was an active member of the community and a founding member of the Catholic parishes in Fayette and Lyons, Ohio. After the death of her husband in 1969, she remained in the family home on North Street until 1980, when she moved to a retirement community in Adrian, Michigan. In 1988 she moved to Campana Del Rio, in Tucson, to be closer to her children. Mrs. O'Donnell is survived by her children: Dr. Kathleen Cloud, a professor at the University of Illinois; Tom O'Donnell, a retired diplomat now in Tucson; Carol Knych, a retired teacher from the Department of Defense Schools in Germany; Ellen O'Donnell, a Tucson School District Social Worker and J. Patrick O'Donnell, an advertising executive in Detroit. She also leaves 11 grandchildren. The family would like to acknowledge the loving care of her dear friend, Mary Jane Lackey and the kindness and support of the entire staff at Leisure Living where she spent her final two years. A memorial mass will be held at St. Odilia Catholic Church, 7570 N. Paseo Del Norte at 9:00 a.m. June 12, 1998. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave. (at Magee).
