Burley R. Anderson, 87, of Yuma, died June 16, 2003, at Life Care Center of Yuma.
Born June 22, 1916, in Springdale, Ark., he was a maintenance supervisor.

A wake for Lawrence T. Valdez, 70, who died June 16, 2003, in Yuma, will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Johnson Mortuary.
A rosary will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, and a funeral Mass will be 9 a.m. Friday at St. Francis of Assisi Church, with burial to follow at Desert Lawn.
Valdez was born Sept. 5, 1932, in Blue Earth, Minn., and was a retired foreman for Verde Growers.

Lawrence T. Valdez “Lencho”
Lawrence T. Valdez, 70, passed away June 16, 2003 at Yuma Regional Medical Center. He was born September 5, 1932 in Blue Earth, Minnesota. Lawrence worked for Verde Growers-Dole Companies. Lawrence was of the Catholic faith.
He is survived by his sons, Lawrence (Sandy) Valdez Jr., of Yuma, Vincente (Lydia) Orduno Jr. of Fresno, California, and Steve (Beatrice) Orduno of Stockton, California; brothers, Edward Valdez, Jose A. Ledesma, and Angel Ledesma, all of California; sisters, Elvira Cordova of El Paso, Texas, Rosie Roybal of New Mexico, Carmen Omo and Frances Ledesma, both of Oxnard, California; eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Petra Valdez; his mother, Jesus T. Ledesma and father, Yreneo Valdez; brother, David Ledesma; and sister, Esther Cruz.
Visitation will take place Thursday, June 19, 2003 from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., With Wake and Rosary at 7:00 p.m.Mass with Father Crino will be 9:00 a.m., Friday, June 20, 2003 at St. Francis Church. Lawrence’s final resting place will be Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers include Mike Badilla, Shawn McSweeney, Jack Stephens, Anthony Santa Cruz, Steve Orduno Jr., and Kirk Orduno. Honorary bearers are Charles Santa Cruz, Mario Molina, Rudy Molina, Edward Perez, and Danny Koolick.
Marcele Shrader
Marcele Shrader, 84, passed away June 14, 2003 in Yuma. She was born September 30, 1918 in Clearwater, Kansas.
Marcele was the Business Manager for Yuma Union School District #1 for 18 years and was also a member of First Christian Church.
She is survived by her sons, J.B. Shrader (Laretta) of Yuma, and Michael Shrader (Jennifer) Shrader of Sahuarita, Arizona; grandsons, Hal (Christina) Shrader, of Camarillo, California, and Chris and Tom Shrader, both of Sahuarita, Arizona, granddaughter, Cyndi Shrader, of Dublin, Ireland; great granddaughters, Mollie and Madison Shrader of Camarillo, California; brothers, Bob (Christine) Critzer of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Gary (Wanda) Critzer of Dodge City, Kansas; sisters Mary (Al) Coad, of St. Charles, Missouri, and Joan (Bob) Miller of Mulvane, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, J.C. Shrader and brother, Bill Critzer.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2003 at Johnson Mortuary at 10:00 a.m., with Pastor Dan Trautman officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 18, 2003 from 9:30 a.m.-10:00 a.m.
Dolly Grace Struble Wright
Heavens newest Angel, beloved mother of four generations, Dolly Grace Struble Wright, age 98 years, 11 months and 16 days, longtime resident of Yuma, left for her heavenly home on June 11, 2003, after many years of ill health.
Daughter of the late Lewis and Harriett Struble, she was born June 26, 1904 at Paris, Arkansas, where she attended grammar school. A member of the United Methodist Church of Branch Arkansas, where she lived for many years before moving to Yuma in 1980 when she retired as a live-in companion and caregiver. She supported many charity organizations and continued her love of caring to many foster sons, daughters and grandchildren until her failing health.
She married Buford Wright in 1930, he preceeded her in death in 1978. She was also preceded in death by her son Joseph Albert; daughter Dora Belle; step granddaughter Garnett Lea; step daughter Pauline; beloved son-in-law Bill Goodmiller; seven brothers; three sisters and her parents.
Her life will be cherished by daughter, Mary Goodmiller of Yuma; son, Jackie Leroy Wright (Joann) of North Carolina; David Victor Wright (Sharon) of Ohio; stepdaughter, Marie Davis (Jim) of Missouri; daughter-in-law, Rita Struble of California; 14 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren. Also three step grandchildren; six step great grandchildren; nine step great great grandchildren. Also many cousins and seven generations of nieces and nephews as well as many friends.
Johnson Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. There will be no local services. She will be buried in the family plot at Valley View Cemetery at Excelsor, Arkansas. Memorial services will be held in Arkansas at a later date.
Shirley Mae Rahn
Shirley Mae Rahn, 67, passed away June 12, 2003 in Yuma, Arizona. Shirley was born August 25, 1935 in Harrison Township, Wisconsin. She worked at Kimberly-Clark Corporation in Neenah, Wisconsin for 30 years. She moved to Yuma in 1999.
Shirley is survived by her husband of almost 47 years, Alvin F. Rahn of Yuma; daughter Carrie (Michael) Kositzke of Yuma; grandson, Matthew Kositzke of Yuma, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer A. and Hazel E. Keller; her brother, Elmer O. Keller, and her sisters, Grace Dickson and Delores Conant.
At Shirley's request, no services will be held. Johnson Mortuary is handling arrangements, including private cremation. Memorial donations can be made to Calvary Lutheran Church Building Fund or Hospice of Yuma.
