Joaquin Flores Navarro
Joaquin Flores Navarro, 81, of Yuma, died June 7, 2003, at Yuma Regional Medical Center.
Born June 17, 1921, in Mexico, he had been an agricultural laborer.
All services will be in San Luis Rio Colorado, Son., with burial to follow in the city cemetery.
Yuma Mortuary & Crematory is handling local arrangements.

Teri A. Renstrom, 29, of Rush City, Minnesota, formerly of Yuma.
Teri’s life was developed around family and her love of nature. She was a very loving, caring person who would welcome anyone into her heart.
Teri is survived by her husband, Jimmy; daughters Alexandria Nelson and Shawnee Renstrom; mother Jeannie (Tad) Jackson; father Richard (Polly) Miller; sister Jennifer (Mike) Jarvis; father and mother-in-law, Marvin and Judy Renstrom; nieces, nephews, and many loving family.
Teri was preceded in death by her brother, Tommy Miller and grandparents.
A Memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 10, 2003 at 1:00pm at Mueller Parkway Chapel, St. Paul , Minnesota. Visitation will be one hour before the service.
Rhonda Joyce Luker
Rhonda Joyce Luker, 50, passed away of cancer on Tuesday, June 3, 2003 in Tucson. She was born on January 24, 1953 in Salinas, California.
Rhonda graduated form Yuma High School in 1971.
She is survived by her mother Lola Luker; daughter Courtney Reyes-Warne; sister Verna JoLuker; and grandchildren Samantha, Brenden and Cory.
She was preceded in death by her father Loyd Luker and brother Gary Luker.

Jerri Dawn went to be with our Lord on June 6, 2003. She was born August 5, 1960 in San Diego, California.
Jerri was mother to Molina and Frank Clark, Jesse Freeburg and Haley Kelly, Daughter of Barbara Simmons and sister to Stacie Whiteman, Johanna Emrhein (Chuck), and aunt to Shawna Whiteman and Johnathan Cross.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2003 at Sunset Vista Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m.

Kim Desmond Hammond
Kim Desmond Hammond, 34, passed away on May 28, 2003 in Phoenix. He was born on August 18, 1968 in Yuma.
He is survived by his father Alphonso G. Hammond Jr. of the Quechan Reservation; brother Alphonso G. Hammond III of Blackwater; half-brother Calvin Taylor of Phoenix; son Kneno Hammond of Somerton; daughter Loranna Hammond of Somerton; uncle Harvey Slim of the Quechan Reservation; aunts Phyllis Shephard of the Quechan Reservation and Norma Valenzuela of Somerton and many nieces, nephews and cousins in Somerton and Yuma.
He was preceded in death by his mother Irene Slim.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 6, 2003 at 5:00 pm at the Ft. Yuma Quechan Indian Tribal Ceremonial Big House. Cremation will be on Saturday, June 7, 2003 at 5:30 pm at the Ft. Yuma Quechan Indian Reservation Cemetery.
Pallbearers are David Sanchez, Gregory & Gabriel Hammond, Morales Escalante, Dwayne Meeden, Calvin Taylor & friends. Honorary bearers are Alphonso G. Hammond Jr., Robert Hammond, Alphonso G. Kim D. Hammond
Former Yuman Kim Desmond Hammond died May 28, 2003, in Phoenix at age 34.
Born Aug. 18, 1968, in Yuma, he had been a restaurant cook.
Quechan Indian tribal ceremonial rites will take place at 5 p.m. Friday at the Quechan Big House at Fort Yuma. Cremation will be at 6 a.m. Saturday at the Quechan cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by Kammann Mortuary.

Pete Davila, of Yuma, died June 1, 2003, in Tucson.
A graveside service will take place at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Desert Lawn, with members of American Legion Post No. 19 providing military honors. Burial will follow.
