Mercy is survived by daughters, Diane Gonzales, Connie Alvarez; sons, George (Helen) Maldonado, Leo (Marilyn) Maldonado; brothers, Frank Romero, Eddie Romero; nine grandchildren; two great-granddaughters, many nieces and nephews; special nephew, Jerry Romero; special friend, Hector Ferederico and special thanks to cousin, Margie Molina. Ramon F. Robles (Ray), 66, of Arivaca, Arizona, passed away August 30, 1998. Preceded in death by first wife, Loreto Robles; mother, Herminia Robles; sons, Genaro and Ramon Robles Jr. Survived by wife, Regina (Rosie) Robles; daughter, Isabel Hernandez (Lupe); son, Alejandro T. Robles. Also survived by four grandchildren, Mark, Anissa, Jose and Denise and four great-grandchildren; sisters, Maria Candelaria, Rosa Santamaria (Reynaldo), Socorro Ortega (Juan), Dominga Gastelum (Gabriel) and Enriqueta Montiel (Edward); brothers, Manuel Robles (Sara) and Jesus Alfredo Robles (Lydia); stepchildren, Hoot L. Engle, Maria Isabel Nunn, Frank Caballero and Paula Geib. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 3, 1998 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY, North Chapel, 204 S. SPENCER, Eric Sean, died August 31, 1998. Preceded in death by brother, Jason Sean Spencer. He is survived by his father, Terry L. Spencer Sr.; mother, Nora Howard; brothers, Bill J. Spencer and Terry L.Spencer, Jr.; sister, Julia M. Breslin and grandparents. Services will be held atat a later date at Kreighbaum – Sanders Funeral Home, Canton, Ohio.

Mariana 'Anita' Valenzuela, born April 17, 1937, went home to her Heavenly Father on August 28, 1998. Preceded in death by her father and mother, Luis and Cristina Valenzuela; son, Nicky; her father-in-law, Bonifacio Valenzuela and her beloved uncle, Anselmo Valencia. Survived by husband, Juan Sotero Valenzuela and children, Martha Suzie (Henry), Christopher (Karen), David, Elizabeth (Eliel), Carmen (David), Leilani, Cassandra (Jerry), Angelique (Jose), Virginia, Ricky (Diana) and Rima; 16 grandchildren; one great-grandson and known by numerous other children that she cared for as their 'Nana.' Also survived by brothers and sisters, Angelina (Eddie), Herminia (Felipe), Cecelia (Nicolas), Luis (Shawna), Robert (Irma) and numerous nephews and nieces. Mariana participated as a Eucharist Minister and catechism instructor. She was also a member of the Virgin De Guadalupe Rosary Group and a devoted participant of the traditional Yaqui ceremonies. The all night vigil will be held Friday, September 4, 1998 at her house, 7633 South Camino Cocoim, on the Pascua Yaqui Reservation. Visitation at 5:00 p.m. and Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held at the Cristo Rey Church on Saturday, September 5, 1998 at 8:00 a.m. Laid to rest at Monte Calvario. Arrangements by HEATHER MORTUARY, an aftercare provider.

Ralph M. Vega, 76, of Tucson, passed away August 30, 1998. Preceded in death by son, Ralph V. Vega Jr. Survived by wife, Pauline Vega; daughter-in-law, Theresa Vega; son, William Vega (Jessie); sisters, Carmen Montoya and Anita Jimenez. Also survived by eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 3, 1998 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY, South Chapel, 240 S. Stone Ave. with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered on Friday, September 4, 1998, 10:00 a.m. at St. John's Church, 602 N.Ajo Way. Interment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. Mr. Vega was a member of the VFW Post #10015 and was also a WW II Veteran. Ralph was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all. WOLFEL, Jeneanne, 60, of Tucson, passed away September 1, 1998. Preceded in death by mother, Mary Alice Endicott. Survived by stepfather, Jay Endicott; husband, Andrew E. Wolfel; daughters, Diane Bernal (William) and Debra McGraw (Brian); sons, Andrew J. (Dallys), Steven, Jay (Donna), Thomas and Mark (Concepcion); sister, Ann Champagne; brothers, Clarance H. Jr., Edwin, Stevenand Ray Sherrick. Also survived by 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Survived by wife, Hilaria Bejarano; daughters, Priscilla Chavez (Ray) and Lucy Sanchez; sons, Hector Jr. (Diane) and Albert Bejarano; sister, Rebecca Rivera; brother, Francisco Bejarano (Lucy). BURNS, Andrew James 'Andy' 39, of Tucson, passed away on the 30th of August, 1998. Andy is survived by wife, Becky; sons, Andy Jr. and Aaron and parents, Jim and Lucy Burns. Memorial Service, Saturday, September 5, 1998, 6:30 p.m. at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1701 East Miles Street.

Robert Donaldson R., age 41, loving father, brother and uncle passed away peacefully in his home on August 30, 1998. Preceded in death by parents, Bob and Helen Donaldson. Robert was currently a college student with ambition to successfully reach his goal as an elementary school teacher. He enjoyed the outdoors and he was an exceptional fisherman, as well as a beloved friend to many, with a great personality full of humor and character. Roberts support and inspiration will always be remembered in the hearts of his loved ones. Survived by his grandmother, Carmen Alvarez; children, Jessica, Elena, Bobby and Vanessa; siblings, Mary Carmen, Judy, Kenneth (Rosa) and aunt, Gloria Alegria, as well as many nieces and nephews. A mass will be held in his honor at St. Monica Catholic Church on Friday, September 4, 1998 at 10:00 a.m.

DONOHUE, Terence, 51, died Monday, August 31, 1998 at his Catalina Foothills home, of cancer. He was diagnosed with melanoma in 1993.
He was the husband of Ann O'Hara Donohue; father of Carolyn, 12 and Michael, 9. The family moved to Tucson in 1996 when Terry was named senior licensing associate for the University of Arizona Office of Technology Transfer. His job there was to apply his experience in optics and intellectual property management to protect and commercialize the University's research in Optical Science and Engineering.
Terry came from a scientific background. His father, Jerry Donohue, was a respected x-ray crystallographer who James Watson, in his book 'The Double Helix' credited with helping to make the key observation that led to showing how the base pairs joined in the DNA structure. His mother was Patricia Schreier Donohue. His sister, Nora, of Richmond, VA, survives. Terry grew up in California and graduated from UCLA and received doctorate and post-doctorate degrees in chemical physics from Cornell University. His work on laser applications from 1975 to 1985 at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, D.C. earned patents on laser/ photochemical separations of transition metals and laser separations of metals. Next, as a staff research chemist at Amoco in Chicago, IL, he worked on laser separation technologies and laser surface processing. He became a technical director and intellectual property manager for Amoco.
He was a member of the American Chemical Society and the Inter-American Photochemical Society and Sigma Xi. He was named a Teeple Fellow at Cornell University. Terry loved cars and was a member of local and national BMW car clubs, as well as the Sports Car Club of America.
A Memorial Service will be Friday, September 4 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Philips in the Hills Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests the Arizona Cancer Center at U.M.C. and the St. Philips Children's Center for dedication.

DUFFETT, Christina, September 19, 1962to August 29, 1998. Tina is lovingly remembered by husband, Bruce Duffett; daughters, Elizabeth Rose Strader, Melanie and Juliette Duffett; son, George Duffett all of Tucson; sister, Theresa Strader of AK; brothers, Jerry Strader of MN, Gary Johnston of WA. GOMEZ, Arturo G., 78, of Tucson, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 1998. Mr. Gomez is survived by his loving wife, Felipa; mother, Soledad Gomez. Mr. Gomez was preceded in death by his father, Julio Gomez; sisters, Catalina Arvizu, Dora Medina; brother, Carlos Gomez. Mr. Gomez is also survived by his sons, Freddy (Lupita), Arturo Jr. (Maria); daughters, Cecilia Gomez (Tony Dalbianco), Laura (Arnold) Manriquez; 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; sisters, Lilly, Margaret, Norma, Gloria, Connie; brothers, Julio, Jr., Bobby, Henry, Floyd. Mr. Gomez was a member of the American Legion Post 68. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 3, 1998 at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY, 5401 S. Park Avenue from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary commencing at 6:00 p.m. Mass will be held at Saint Monica's Catholic Church on Friday, September 4, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements by SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY, an aftercare provider.

KIRBY, Aurora Ann, 82, a resident of Casa de Encanto Apartments, died Tuesday, September 1, 1998 at St. Mary's Hospital.
She was born in Utica, New York, daughter of Germano Mosca and Marietta Accardi. She is predeceased by one brother, Carmen, and four sisters, Sabastiana, Rose, Santa, and Eugenia. She leaves a daughter, Roberta Kirby-Lewusz; son-in-law, Roman; two granddaughters, Jennifer and Jessica, and a niece, Evelyn Blankenship of Las Vegas. At her request there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.

PIETRANTONIO, Filomena, 88, died September 2, 1998. Mother of Ann (John) Rosanio of Tucson, Salvatore (Irma) Pietrantonio of North Arlington, New Jersey; seven grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren also survive. Filomena was preceded in death by her husband, Domenick and son, Patrick. Scripture Service 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 3rd at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL. Mass will be offered 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 4, 1998 at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 1800 S. Kolb Rd. Burial in TMP East Lawn. RAISBECK, Stella, 79, died August 30, 1998. Mother of Robert (Paula) Bacinski; grandmother of Rose Bacinski, Anne Bacinski and Diana (Ed) Jonathans; great-grandmother of Brooke and Edward Jonathans. ROOSMA, Martha Miller, 74, of Tucson, died September 1, 1998. She is survived by her husband, Robert Roosma; her daughters, Marilyn L. (Tom) Sitzmann of Tucson, Marsha E. (Doug) Cox of Seattle, WA; grandchildren, James Cox and Jeff Cox, both of Seattle, Amy Sitzmann and Vicki Gindhart, both of Oklahoma City, OK; brother, Donald (Barbara) Henderson of Tucson and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Roosma also leaves much loved stepchildren, step grandchildren and two step-great-granddaughters. She was predeceased by her husband, Jack William Miller on May 29, 1993. Service will beheld Saturday, 10:00 a.m. St. Philip's in the Hills Episcopal Church, 4440 N. Campbell Ave. Interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. AICHER, William Michael (Mike), 92, of Tucson, went to his Lord on September 1, 1998. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Mike Aicher came to Tucson in 1976. Mike was the Vice President of Labor Relations with the US Brewers Association. He was an active member of the St. Pius Knights of Columbus as well as TOTS baseball team. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Estelle (Fuz) Aicher. He is survived by four daughters, Mary Ann Combs of Tucson, Michaele Steadman Aubel (Jerry) of Wilton, NH, Marita-Swartz (Karl) of Bristol, TN and Moria Aicher of Tucson; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren all of whom were dearly loved. He is also survived by his sisters, Rose Curran of Freeport, NY. There will be no visitation. Memorial Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 5, 1998 at St. Pius X Catholic Church located at 1800 North Pio Decimo, Tucson, AZ. DAVIS, Mary Kate nee McDonald, died September 1, 1998. Survived by her children, Roger and David Davis and Susan (Jim) Sharpe; sister, Sue Barnes; nieces, Carol and Rebecca. LAWSON, Mary 'Tillie', passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, September 2, 1998 after a courageous fight with cancer. Tillie was born in El Paso, Texas on July 9, 1934. She was married to her loving husband, Andy, for 39 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, and friend. Tillie was involved in pre-school for over 25 years. Her unique, loving style touched and shaped the hearts of countless children as well as teachers and parents. She always put family and friends first before herself. She will always be remembered for her cheerful smile and delightful laughter. Tillie is survived by her husband, Andy; sons, Ralph and Roy; daughter-in-law, Susan; grandsons, Scott, Skylar, and Chandler; along with four sisters and three brothers.
The family expresses its sincere appreciation to the Hospice Staff at Carondelet and the continuous support and prayers from relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Carondelet Hospice Services or to a favorite charity on Tillie's behalf.
Rosary will be recited 7:00 p.m., Monday, September 7 at BRING'S MEMORIAL CHAPEL. Mass will be offered 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 8, 1998 at St. Augustine Cathedral, 192 S. Stone. Entombment in Holy Hope Mausoleum. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, September 7, at BRING'S MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 236 S. Scott.
