HALLORAN, Jack, 83, of Tucson, passed away September 8, 1998. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Helen Provencio Halloran. Born in Jersey City, NJ, Jack moved to Southern California in 1953 where he was owner and founder of H & P Fire Equipment Co. and H.L. Swift. He retired to Tucson in 1988. A Memorial Service will be held at EAST LAWN PALMS CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Thursday, September 10, 1998 at 6:30 p.m.

NICHOLS, Shirley V., 78, entered into God's service September 4, 1998. Wife of William S. Nichols; niece of Dr. Robert Straube of Brookings, OR. Mrs. Nichols was a long time employee of the telephone company, retiring in 1975. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and Tucson Life Member Club. Donations in memory of Shirley may be made to Saint Germain Foundation, 1242 W. Santo Domingo Place, Tucson, AZ 85704 or the Cancer Research Center. O'NEIL, Marvin J., age 83, of Tucson, passed away September 7, 1998. He is survived by three daughters; four grandchildren and three great-grandsons. Mr. O'Neil was retired from the University Medical Center. Arrangements by ARIZONA MORTUARY.

John Edward Sator, Left this earth suddenly on September 6, 1998. John was born in El Paso, TX and came to Tucson from Seattle with his family in 1987. John loved music and had a special attraction to the steel drums and clarinet. A junior at Tucson High School, he was active in the Steel Drum Band and was his section's leader in Tucson High's Marching Band. He was also a member of the community's Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Mr. Lazlo Verses. John had always been energetic and an exceptional student. In addition to his love of music, he also had a special interest in the sciences, animals, golf and loved the beach. He was very close to his family and particularly enjoyed his special relationship with his mom. John is survived by his mother Tamara K. Jacob and stepfather, Donald G. Jacob; father, Kenneth L. Sator and stepmother, Rebecca Sator of Mission, TX; great-grandfather, John Henry Sator; grandparents, John (Shirley) Sator of Tucson, Anne Kay Stockley of Tucson and Jack (Betty) Ward of Seattle, and he will be greatly missed by his many other family members and friends. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 9 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Christ Community Church, 7801 E. Kenyon (at Pantano) where funeral services will take place on Thursday, September 10 at 10:00 am. Interment tofollow at Holy Hope Cemetery.

Robert G. Shouse, 66, of Tucson, AZ, passed away September 6, 1998. He is survived by wife, Ginny; children, Randy, Steve (Catherine), Kelli (Eric) Penny, Laura Courtney and their mother, Barbara (Earl) Mort; stepsons, Curtis (JoAnn) and Phillip (Zina) Berry; grandchildren, Bill, Bobby, Heather, Abe, Andy, Anne, Garrett, Beth, Stevie, Karin, Kristine and Jessica; mother and stepfather, Grace (Fred) Cole and sister, Betty Schindelbeck all of Richmond, VA and brother, Ollie (Daniella) Shouse II. Memorial Services will be held at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 750 W. Chapala Dr. at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 12, 1998 with Dr. Joe Bettridge officiating. SOLOMON, Katherine Mary, age 81, died Monday, September 7, 1998. She is survived by one cousin, Ruth Bailey of Prescott, AZ and by many friends in Tucson. URIAS, Arturo Ramon, 38, passed away September 5, 1998. Survived by son, Arthur; daughter, Stephanie; grandchildren, Nina Marie and Robert Ryan; mother of his children, Cynthia; mother, Delia Acedo; father, Art Urias; sister, Anna Urias; niece, Melissa Green; and many other relatives and friends. WITTGES, Mark W. Jr., 64, died September 4, 1998 in Tucson, born October 4, 1933 in Omaha, NE. Survived by wife, Janice; one daughter, Christine (David) Whitton; two sons, Timothy Wittges, Thomas Wittges; three granddaughters, Elizabeth, Elena, Jennifer Whitton all of Tucson; sister, Marcia (Neal) Walker of Omaha, NE; nephew, Greg (Becky) Walker of Tucson; niece, Deborah (Russ) Mailliard of Omaha, NE. BLUBAUGH, William Stuart, 69, quietly passed away at home September 8, 1998. He is preceded in death by his dear wife, Dorothy. Bill is survived by his daughter, Denise (Jim) Hawn; son, Michael Blubaugh; granddaughters, Michelle Kemp, Lyn-Marie Blubaugh and Ashley Blubaugh; grandsons, Paul Kemp and Brian Kemp and great-grandson, Ivan Kemp. Also his sisters, Louise (Lee) Witt and Doris Miller and brothers, Gene (Pauline) Blubaugh and Tom (Betty) Blubaugh. Since Bill was from a family of 12 children, he is also survived by many nieces and nephews with special memories of Uncle Bill. Bill was born and raised in Berlin, PA, joined the Air Force in 1948, met Dorothy while stationed in England and brought her to Tucson in 1953 where they were married at DMAFB Chapel. Bill's military career included duties as aircraft mechanic on B-29, KB-29 and KC-97 aircraft, and as missile system maintenance, participating in launches of the Titan II missile. He retired from the Air Force in 1969, moved the family to Pennsylvania for a year to be close to his mother, and returned to Tucson. He then worked at Montgomery Wards in the Sporting Goods Department for a short time and began a career in banking with the DM Federal Credit Union. He retired from the Credit Union in 1991. Bill, Dorothy, and children enjoyed a life filled with the love of family, friends, camping, hunting, fishing, travel and a true outdoor spirit. Bill will be greatly missed by his many friends and family. The family expresses thanks to the staff of Tucson Medical Center and TMC Hospice for their loving care. A Memorial Service with military honors will be held at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 E. Grant on Saturday, September 12, 1998 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the TMC Foundation-Hummingbird Garden Fund, 5301 E. Grant Rd., Tucson, AZ 85712 with “In Memory of Bill Blubaugh' noted on the donation.

FLORES, Elenor, age 85, of Tucson passed away September 8, 1998. She is survived by her children, Raymond G. Flores of Phoenix, Edward Vasquez (Joyce) of Tucson, Fernando Vasquez of Sacramento, Albert C. Vasquez of Tucson, Sally Ann Carrillo of Dunnellon, Florida, Patricia R. Calvillo of Tucson and Lydia F. Esposito (Michael) of Tucson; 28 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 11, 1998 at ARIZONA MORTUARY, 7 E. University Blvd, at Stone. Interment Holy Hope Cemetery. HORNER, Daniel A., 82, of Tucson, died September 5, 1998. Beloved husband of Florence; son of the late Arthur and Selma Horner. He was a retired manager of the plumbing and heating department in the Sears, Chicago Northwest store. Daniel served in WWII on the US Navy aircraft carrier, Shangri La and was a member of Tucson's Norsemen's Federation. A memorial service will be held at EAST LAWN PALMS CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd., on Friday, September 11, 1998 at 11:30 a.m., with Pastor John Witkop officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

(Gary) Sharp of Tucson; grandchildren, Dylan Burns, Taylor Burns, Catalina Burns, Thomas Burns, David Burns, Reagan Burns, Catherine Burns, Samuel Burns, Bryan Sharp, David Sharp and Mary Ann Sharp; brother, John (Dorie) Pagones of Washington, D.C.; three nieces. STERN, Nettie Sutton, 90, of Tucson, died September 8, 1998 after a short illness. She was born in New York City, NY in 1907 and had lived in Tucson since 1947. She is survived by her husband, Herman Stern of Tucson; three children, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild and her sister, Jeanne Pell of Fortuna, CA. Graveside Services, Thursday, 4:00 p.m. in Congregation Anshei Israel Section of Evergreen Cemetery with Rabbi Arthur R. Oleisky officiating. VALENZUELA, Jose Molina, 73, of Tucson, died Sunday, September 6, 1998. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera T. Valenzuela. He is survived by sons, David T., Leo T. and Danny T. (Kelly) Valenzuela; daughters, Maria G. (Oscar) Corral, Yolanda (Joe) Quiroz, Connie Zaldo (John Evans), Marice (Gilbert, Jr.) Carrillo, Judy (Louie) Rivera; 15 grandchildren and one great grandson. Employed at Hughes Aircraft 1956 until retirement 1992. Survived by wife, Genevieve; mother, Bertha; sons, Timothy, Thomas, Dennis, John, Joe (Deceased), Robert; daughters, Teresa Kemp, Cheryl Stewart, Mary Kane, Keri Castelli, Lisa Etheridge, 20 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; three brothers and seven sisters. ZESEWITZ, Irene R., age 83, of 206 West Orange Street, Davenport, Florida, died Tuesday, September 8, 1998 at Heart of Florida Hospital in Davenport. Born November 2, 1914 in Charlestown, Mass., Mrs. Zesewitz came to the Central Florida area from Tucson, Arizona earlier this year. She was a resident of North Reading, Mass. until 1977 when she moved to Tucson. Survivors include her son, Frederick Zesewitz of Kissimmee. Grissom Funeral Home and Crematory, Kissimmee, Florida.

ADAMS, Mary, age 66, of Tucson, passed away September 9, 1998. Survived by husband, Lee Adams of Tucson; children, John (Anna) Pernell, Jr., Debra (Artris) Wilson, Jr., Ronnie Adams, Patricia Adams, all of Tucson; grandchildren, Jonathan L. Pernell of OK., Alicia M.N. Pernell of Tucson, Jason A. Pernell, Amber J. Wilson of Tucson; three sisters and three brothers; mother, Lula Lee Waggoner, TX and a host of relatives and friends. Mrs. Adams was a member of Royal Hope Chapter #336 – O.E.S. Texas Jurisdiction. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 14, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Temple Baptist Church, 1019 E. 31st. HANSON, Teresa L., 73, died September 9, 1998. Survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Julian Hanson and daughter, Laurie Hanson; brothers, Donald and Bernard Schmidt; and sister, Bernardine Schmidt, all of Minnesota, and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Frances Schmidt and sister, Marcella Helland. During her 50 years in Tucson, Teresa was a tax preparer, porcelain painter, a girl scout leader, and avid mystery reader, a bird lover and a good friend. MICHAEL RAY JACOBSON, 38, of Tucson, died September 11, 1998. Survived by his mother, Donna Jacobson Cormier; stepfather, Richard Cormier; grandmother, Esther Jacobson and brothers, Lou and David all of Tucson and numerous relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his father, Gary and brother, Bret. Michael was born October 12, 1959 in Canton, Ohio. He grew up in Tucson being employed in various capacities by Saquenda Corp., Safeway and Fry's. Michael's love was flying, he flew the skies of Arizona, until declining health grounded him. DIXON, Brenda Y., age 47 years of Tucson, passed away September 6, 1998. Survived by daughter, Roxanne (Greg) Hudson, Tucson; grandchildren, Shawmaine, Kenneth, Octavia all of Tucson; sisters, Erma Corbett, Alaska and Linda Fields, Tucson; brothers, Edward, Larry, Rupert Dixon all of Tucson. Mrs. Dixon's parents, Willie, Sr. and Zella Dixon preceded her in death. Also her brother, Willie Dixon, Jr. preceded her in death. EVERINGHAM, Valeria M. 'Val' 76, of Tucson, passed away September 9, 1998. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Spencer; one son, Donald of Florida; one brother, William Morris of New Jersey and one sister, Elizabeth Hutton of Pennsylvania. ROSEBERRY, Patricia Ann, 65 years old, died Wednesday, September 9, 1998 in Tucson, born on June 29, 1933 in Cheyenne, WY. Survived by two daughters, Jackie Winger and Debora Alexander; six grandchildren, Michelle Durazo, Jenniffer McClure, Aaron Alexander, Ryan Winger, Matthew Roseberry, Angella Roseberry; two great-grandchildren, Elizabeth McClure, Enrique Durazo. SOLGA, Floyd C., age 78, a native of Leeds, N.D., died September 3, 1998. He was a retired electrical engineer with Hughes for many years.
