Walker of Beaverton, OR; half brother, Eldon Thomas of Hennessey, OK and grandson, Gary Walker. Preceded in death by wife, Shirley. Service Saturday, 10:00 a.m. EVERGREEN MORTUARY. KING, Ruth E., 85, of Tucson, died on November 2, 1998. She is survived by her husband, Robert King; son, James King; grandchildren, Roger King of Elkhart, Indiana and Jennifer Seedorf of Yuma, Colorado; and great-grandchildren, James and Joshua Seedorf. Mrs. King was active in the cause of animal welfare and founded the Animal Assistance organization. The family will hold a private Memorial Service on November 7, at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements by family owned Adair Funeral Home, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd.

LOPEZ, Daniel R., 79, of Tucson, joined our Lord on November 3, 1998. Retired from DM Air Force Base Civil Service. He was a lifelong resident of Tucson, a veteran of WWII and a musician. He loved to dance, play his piano and watch his rose bushes bloom. He is survived by his former wife, Otilia V. Lopez and their six children: Andrea (Armando) Orantez, Christina (Rudy) Robles, Daniel V. (Gloria) Lopez, Bernard Phillip (Lori) Lopez of Chandler, Leonard Eric Lopez and Susan (Tommy) Varelas; four brothers, Samuel, Alex, Felix and Richard Lopez; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren all of Tucson. Visitation will be held at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY, South Chapel, 240 S. Stone Ave. on Sunday, November 8, 1998 from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered at St. Augustine's Cathedral on Monday, November 9, 1998 at 9:00 a.m. with Monsignor Carrillo officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery, 5401 S. Park Ave. Please make any donations to the St. Augustine Cathedral Maintenance Fund.

PFAFF, Helen, 82, formerly from Mpls, MN, died October 4, 1998. Preceded in death by her husband, George Pfaff in 1967. Survived by her children, Mary (Doug) Edwards, LuAnn Koepke, Janet (Tom) Hogan, Joyce (Jerry) Neil, George (Brenda) Pfaff, Judy Pfaff, Susan (John) Stielow; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Lyle Anderson; sister, Lorraine Knutson and her loving companion, Bernie Eppolite. Julaine E. Russell, 73, resident of Tucson since 1987, died Tuesday, November 3, 1998. Survived by husband, H. Warren; son, Larry D. Russell (Edla); grandson, Ryan Russell; brother, Alex Zilai (Loretta); nieces, Linda Foster and Kathy Colvin; nephews, Daniel, David and Steven Zilai. Private family services were held. RYGG, Jerome R., 81, died November 4, 1998. Husband of Noma M. Kane; father of Lynne Khalsa and Mary Bartholomew; stepfather of Tom King and Linda Paavola; brother of Esther Sandberg, Lola Smart, Ruth Engelstad and Les Rygg; three grandchildren and six step grandchildren also survive. He attended high school in Moorehead, MN. A graduate of Concordia College, Northwestern University, School of Dentistry and President of his Dental Class. Taught High School chemistry and math and was a dentist for 30 years. WWII Army Air Corp Veteran and member of Kwanis and American Legion. Contributions in Jerome's memory may be made to American Heart Association, 5325 E. Pima, Tucson, AZ 85712. Arrangements by BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

FRANCES WICKHAM SCHILDMACHER, 72, passed away November 4, 1998 at TMC with complications of diabetes, heart and kidney complications. She is survived and loved by her father, Glen C. Carpenter; husband, William; daughter, Susan Hill; son, William Jr (Laura); five grandchildren, Christy, Rebecca, Caleb, Jennifer, and Sarah Hill; and three great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Rajon, and Avery Hill. 'Wick' was a teacher in the Tucson Unified School District. She received her BA from Edinboro State University and her Master's from University of Arizona. She was a member of ADK Educational Sorority, Sigma Kappa; Daughters of the Nile, Tucson Assistance League and Trowel and Glove Garden Club. Services will be held Sunday, November 8, at Lutheran Church of the King, 450 S. Kolb Rd at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Diabetes Association.

SHEPARD, Harry L., 78, of Tucson, died November 4, 1998. Husband of Ruth; father of Dennis, Roy D., Steven P. and Keith E. Shepard, Roxanne Rose, Harry A. Stahla, Marilyn C. Stevens, Barbara A. BIGGIE, Harold H., 75, entered into rest on October 30, 1998. Survived by Dorothy, his wife of 53 years; son, Frank (Faith) and daughter, Teree (Marvin) Warrior; grandchildren, David, Breanne and Ryan; sister, Lucille Wall and many nieces and nephews. AnnaDale Ruth Casillas passed away November 5, 1998 in Tucson, AZ. She was born June 18, 1927 in Humboldt, MN. to Alexander and Hilda Turner. Her mother was from Norway. Her eight brothers and sisters were adopted to loving families. AnnaDale's family was Harold and Ellen Mary Easton and her sister, Jean Ella Rose. The family moved to Tucson in 1948. They preceded her in death. AnnaDale found love in everyone and her kindness and smile will be missed forever. She worked for the AZ. Children's Home when she first moved to Tucson and was a gifted artist and singer. She graduated from Durham College. She is survived by her children, Ronald, Harold (Karen) of Tucson and Mary (Paul) of Indiana. Her grandchildren, Maya and Nessa Shute, Kari, Rachel and Jessica Casillas, Paul Zawadzke, Christopher Spinks, Jennifer Swartwout and four great-grandchildren; brothers, Norman Onstad and Harry Reese of MN; sisters, Sophie Bressel of MN, Hazel Fox of FL., Enid Capp of AK and Clara Polaski of AK. She was preceded in death by a sister, Beth. Funeral Service 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 9 at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, with interment to follow at East Lawn Cemetery, 5801 E. Grant Rd. FRANKLIN JR., Linwood Earl, born May 18, 1925 in North Kingston, Rhode Island and passed away Wednesday, November 4, 1998. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth and daughter, Christine Maders. Mr. Franklin is survived by his children: daughters, Marie (Gary) Napier of Phoenix, AZ and Aleida (Lanny) Key of Texas and Margie L. (Royal) Beckman of Tucson; son, David E. (Stephanie) Franklin of Kansas; sister, Winnifred Lyons of Tucson; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Mr. Franklin served in the Navy during WWII. He also worked for U.S. Homes for 16 years. Funeral Services, 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 9, 1998 at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5401 S. She was a resident of Akron, OH and Tucson, AZ. A member of Alpha Phi Sorority, Akron Art Institute, St. Paul's Episcoapl Church, Akron, OH and Christ the King Episcopal Church, Tucson, AZ. Wife of Earl B. Hathaway; mother of The RT Rev.Alden Moinet Hathaway of Pittsburgh, PA, Earl Burton Hathaway II of Stamford, CT and Anne Hathaway Bowes of Duxbury, MA; grandmother of Alden M. Hathaway II, Christopher L. Hathaway, E. Burton Hathaway III, Amanda Hathaway Joyner, Melissa Hathaway Theriault, Heather Bowes, Ezzy and Catherine Bowes; great-grandmother of Alden M. Hathaway III, Mary P. Hathaway, Anna Margaret Hathaway, Amanda Hathaway, Caitlyn Theriault and Griffin Hathaway. JOYCE, Michael John, born April 5, 1924, passed away on November 4, 1998. He is survived by his wife, Lois; daughters, Patricia and Maureen; sons, Mike and Tim; grandchildren, Jessica, Kile, Shayla and Cody; three sisters and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Joyce was born in Cleveland, Ohio and served in World War II, Korean and Vietnam War. He was a Merchant Marine and belonged to the Military Order of the Purple Heart, VFW and Knights of Columbus. Friends may call from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 8, 1998 at HEATHER MORTUARY, 1040 N. PARSONS, John H., 82, died on November 6, 1998 at St. Mary's Hospice. Mr. Parsons was a longtime general contractor in Tucson until his retirement in 1985. He and his family came to Tucson from his hometown of Lynn, Mass. in December 1945. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Helen; two children, Carol Bogstie of Tucson and Ron Parsons of Chicago; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. PIMENTEL, Richard, age 73, a 14 year resident of Tucson, passed away November 5, 1998. Born September 22, 1925 in Gloucester, Massachusetts. Mr. Pimentel was a Navy Veteran of World War II. A member of VFW Post 1008, Past E.R. of Danbury Elks Lodge #120, Food Pantry volunteer at our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. He is survived by his loving wife, Judy; sons, John Pimentel and Rick (Diane) Pimentel; stepdaughter, Dawn Marie (Fernando) Cunes; stepson, Thomas C.Pickel; six grandchildren, Christopher, Michael, Jennifer, Jonathan, Thomas P. and Thomas C; devoted sister, Rosemarie (Tony) Tocco; brother, Melvin (Betty) Pimentel; nieces, Jeanine and Toni Ann; nephews, Mark and Dion; cousins, Arthur (Pauline) Pimentel and Jerome (Cecile) Pimentel; caring sister-in-law, Janice (Anthony) Cortese.
