Marcella Walbridge Dewey
2-24-23 11-20-98
Dearest Mother, Sister, Aunt, Friend, we grieve our loss with the deep, abounding love of our sorrowful hearts. Your arms reached wide and full to embrace our joy and pain with a presence no one will forget. We send you now on your way, relieved only by the end of your pain.
Born of Eugene Walbridge and Della Johnston in Omaha; sisters, Betty and Arlene; brothers, Ralph, Ronald, Russell, Cyril, Jack, Ardis and Delmar, surrounded you as first family. Your children, Janice, Donna, and Delmar, their children, Angus, Sophia, Aaron and Sarah, extend the circle. Together with Jay, Della, Kenton, Jennifer and their children, Eric, Adam, Steven, Kenton, Marcella and Gabriel, you mothered us all.
These many relations, further extended by marriage, partnership, and friendship, do not begin to embrace the full capacity of our love for, and memory of you. Your work as a bus driver for the Navy in World War II, and later in life, as a bus driver for the Tucson Unified School District for 20 years, remind us of your service and care for countless individuals and children throughout life.
At this time of Thanksgiving, we ask that all those who remember Marcella Jane Walbridge Dewey, reflect upon the invaluable grace and gift of her life.
