VILLAESCUSA, Lillian, age 82, a seven year resident of Palominas, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 1999 at Hacienda Care Center in Sierra Vista. She was born April 27, 1916 in Tucson, AZ to William and Margarita Staley. Lillian lived in Tucson all her life until moving to Palominas. She was a loving wife and mother that was dedicated to family and adored her grandchildren. WILLS, Maxine, 76, died Tuesday, January 19, 1999. She is survived by: her daughter, Linda Roberts and fiance Kerry Goolsby; and son John (Eileen) Roberts; also three grandchildren, Michelle, Daniel and Matthew Roberts. BURK, Edward Doug, 61, died suddenly January 21, 1999. Doug is survived by his children, Kenny of Seattle, WA, Sheri of Safford, AZ, Edward Anthony of Oracle, AZ, Yvonne (Mike) of Tucson, Hope of Tucson and Mindy (Daryn) of San Manuel; grandchildren, Jon, Cassandra, Chris, Ricky, Brittany and Yasmine; brother, Don of Playas, NM; sisters, Geraldine and Shirley of Sahuarita. Doug was born in Maxwell, OK to Dallas and Violet Tyson Burk. The family moved to Arizona five years later. Doug worked for 30 years at Magma Corp as a welder, then took up his second career as a Corrections Officer at Catalina Mountain School over 10 years ago. Doug dedicated his life to helping others. He was active in little league for over a decade and was deeply involved in the rehabilitation efforts of teens in trouble. Doug was also a proud and voting member of the Chickasaw Nation. Doug Burk leaves behind a legacy of honor, love and admiration in every one of the hundreds of lives he has touched. HENSSLER, Francis V. 'Frank' loving husband of Margaret (Peggy), lost his valiant battle with pancreatic cancer on January 19, 1999. He is survived by his wife and children, Donna Peterson, Robert (Marilyn) Henssler, Sr., Linda Coburn, Matthew (Stephanie) Smith, Kevin (Pattie) Smith and Theresa Gleetz; nephew Lanny (Candy) Roberts; niece, Darlene (Eddie) Griffith; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and six great-nieces.
Born in St. Louis, MO, May 19, 1921 to Marie and Frank Henssler, Frank graduated from high school in Norton, NM and attended Denver University. He spent his life in the heavy construction field in the western United States, Peru, Alaska, and Greenland.
He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II receiving many medals and citations. He was a member in good standings of the 73rd Bomb Wing Assn., lifetime (52 years) member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners and several other social organizations.
In addition to his family, he is survived by many close and caring friends, particularly his sister-in-law, Hilda Sharr, Bill and Barbara Eberle, Ed and Carlyn Harrow, Norman and Shirley Rubens, Charlie and Rita Spatzier, and special volunteers from TMC Hospice.
He wished to say good-bye to all his old friends, schoolmates, and all the members of the Hodges family.
Interment will be on Monday, January 25, 1999 at Fort Bayard National Cemetery, Fort Bayard, NM at 1:30 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 1999 in Hanger 4 at the Pima Air & Space Museum, 6100 E. Valencia Rd., Tucson, AZ at 5:00 p.m.

NUNEZ, Jose, was born February 13, 1909, died January 22, 1999. Retired Arizona Pharmacist, having attended the University of Arizona and Capitol College of Pharmacy in Denver, Colo. Received his Arizona license in April, 1934. He received his Honorary Arizona Certificate of Pharmacy (50 years) on the 10th day of April 1984. For 28 years he owned and worked at his own Drug Store in Tucson. He was a Charter Member of Elks Lodge 2592 of Green Valley after having demited from Lodge 385 of Tucson. There will be no services. RICE, John David, 57, died January 22, 1999. Husband of Rosemary Rice; father of Rosemary (Jim) Martinez, Edward, George, Fernando and Roy Diaz; brother of Ethel Smith; cousin of Elsie Hood; four grandchildren also survive. He was born in Tucson and lived here all of his life. He served his country in Vietnam with the U.S. Army. FITZGERALD, David F., 80, died January 21, 1999. Survived by his wife of 56 years, Eleanor; daughter, Jane Fitzgerald Gittings; sons, Brian (Marilee) and Paul (Jeri). Also by five grandchildren, Alex, Ned and Briana Gittings and Mollee and Chelsee Fitzgerald; brother, Thomas Fitzgerald of Tucson and sister, Barbara Cleary of Salem, Massachusetts. He was born in Holyoke, Massachusetts, graduated from Suffield Academy, Connecticut and Williams College in Massachusetts. He served in the Army Air Force as a Major in Africa and upon recall, during the Korean Conflict. He taught and coached at Suffield Academy and at The Canterbury School in Connecticut. He brought his family to Tucson in 1952 where he worked at Darr Aero Tech and Beiser Aviation in Marana. He was Personnel Director for the City of Tucson for 10 years. Worked at Hughes Aircraft, Horizon Company, Mountain States Engineers and the University of Arizona. A memorial mass will be offered at Most Holy Trinity Church, 1300 N. Greasewood Rd. at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 30th. Burial will be private.
HARRISON, Juanita F., 85, of Largo, FL. died Thursday January 14, 1999 at Mariner Health of Belleair, Largo, under the care of Hospice. She was born in Lebanon, Ind. and resided in Tucson for 35 years as a teacher. She moved to Largo in 1996. A painter, she displayed her watercolors at Royal Palms Senior Residence (Largo) where she lived, the Largo Public Library and the Dunedin Fine Art Center. She was a member of AARP and the Arizona Retired Teacher's Association. She was a Protestant. Survivors include a sister, Elsie Harrison of Bellair Bluffs, FL.; sister-in-law Mrs. Howard Harrison of Gross Pointe Park, Mich., and several nieces and nephews.
