FOX, Mary Ann, 82, of Tucson, died March 6, 1999. She is survived by her children, Lawrence (Janice) Fox, Sahuarita and Sherridan Abbott of Sacramento, CA. HIGGINS, Charles B., Sr., 89, died Friday, February 26, 1999 in Tucson. Charles was born May 25, 1909 in Warren, PA. He is survived by one son, Charles (Mary Beth) B. Higgins Jr.; six grandchildren, Kelli Anne, Robert, Jennifer, Daniel, Kimberley and Megan; five great-grandchildren, Tyler, Shelby, Ashley, Adam and Grayson. He is preceded in death by his wife, Marie Frances, and a brother, Edward. Charles was a Firefighter for the city of Cleveland for 35 years. Member of the Knights of Columbus since 1929 and a 4th Degree member since 1944. Charles was the founder of Msgr. Weber Assembly and the 1st faithful navigator. He was also a 4th Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus St. Pius Council. Memorial Mass will be Friday, March 12, 1999 at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Chalice Ceremony at St. Francis De Sales, 1375 S. Camino Seco. Inurnment will be in all Souls cemetery in Chardon, Ohio. DOUGLAS GORDON HUGHES, SR., 79, of Tucson passed away on March 3, 1999 after a short illness. He was the husband of the late Diana Rose (Martin) Hughes.
Born In Rutherford, NJ on January 5, 1920, a son of the late Joseph N. and Elizabeth (Meir) Hughes and step-mother Lillian (Potter) Hughes. He was a resident of Tucson since 1981; his prior residences were in Maywood and Hopatcong, NJ.
He was employed by Curtiss Wright Aeronautical in Woodbridge, NJ for 42 years. He was a member of the BPO Elks Lodge #2532 in Tucson and the Loyal Order of Moose since 1985. He was an avid golfer, a wonderful father and a loving grandfather.
He is survived by 2 daughters, Marlene Hughes (Robert) Shrieve of Tucson and Kathlene Hughes (Richard) Kay of Hopatcong, NJ; 2 sons, Douglas G.(Candace) Hughes, Jr. and Charles E.(Betsy) Hughes, both of Tucson, AZ; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Allan Hughes of Closter, NJ, Harry Hughes of Oakley, CA, and Joseph Hughes of Knox, NY; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 13, 1999 at 11:00 a.m. in the EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 E. Grant Road, Tucson, AZ with Pastor Joiner officiating.

JONES, William Everette, 62, died March 3, 1999. Son of Florence Jones; brother of Elaine Colburn, Jack and Dan Jones all of Apache Junction, Arizona and Tom Jones of Idaho. FRED F. KRAVATH, Captain, US Navy Ret., 85, passed away March 4, 1999. preceded in death by Mary, his wife of 55 years, he is survived by numerous friends and relatives. He was a graduate of the Drexel Institute of Technology and held Masters Degrees in both Mechanical and Civil Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. In addition, he held the degree of Doctor of Engineering, awarded by the Catholic University of America. He was a registered professional engineer in the states of Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey. His military career spanned 24 years, earning him numerous medals of commendation. RUBEN C. ESTRADA, 59, a native Tucsonan, went home to our Lord on March 6, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Christi and his son, John Ruben as well as his three sisters, Eleanor (Tony) Saldivar, Helen (Jim) Young and Amalia (Manuel) Fregoso and his brother, Tony (Barbara) Estrada. Ruben is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews and many great and great-great nieces and nephews. Ruben was with the Air National Guard from 1958 to 1975; from 1975 to 1977 was President of the National Economic Development Association in Washington, DC. In 1971 Ruben graduated from the University of Arizona with a Master of Business Administration. In 1977, he began his teaching career at Pima Community College in Tucson and in 1985 became Chairperson of the Business Program at the downtown campus. Ruben gave his students knowledge, encouragement and humor and his love of teaching could be recognized by all students. For the last 13 years, Ruben has also been an adjunct faculty member for the Entrepreneurship Program at the University of Arizona. Ruben has been active in many community activities including Urban League Business Loan Advisory Committee, KUAT TV Citizens Advisory and Past President Family Counseling Agency, United Way Agency. Most recently Ruben enjoyed acting as coach and manager of his son's baseball team in the Challenger Little League. Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, March 13 at 1:00 p.m. at Most Holy Trinity, 1300 N. Greasewood in Tucson.
