FRIEDRICH, Margaret A., born August 28, 1912, died March 9, 1999, left her son and his wife, Bob and Edie; her grandchildren, John, Rogene and her husband, Dan; her great-grandchildren, Ali, Robert and Eric to be with God early Tuesday morning. She gave before she was asked without asking for anything in return and was loved by all those who knew her. Memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 12, 1999 at Evangelical Church of the King, 2450 S. Kolb Road, with Pastor Philip Petrasek officiating. In lieu of flowers, a memorial to your favorite charity, or to the church (Evangelical Lutheran) she loved so much. Arrangements by EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY.

GINN, Don K., 83, a long time resident of Tucson, died March 10, 1999. Survived by his wife, Kay Ginn; sons, David (Amy) and Michael (Dori) Ginn; daughters, Carol Ginn, Nancy (Peter) Pardes and Sue (C.H.) Wong; 10 grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters. Mr. Ginn owned the Food Town Grocery at 6th and Ajo for many years. Friends may visit 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.Friday, March 12, 1999 at East Lawn Palms Mortuary, 5801 E. Grant Rd., where funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 13, 1999. Burial to follow at East Lawn Palms cemetery, an aftercare provider.

KANOUSE, Ronald M., 55, of Tucson, died Sunday, March 7, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Rodney Meek, Cathy Gonzales; son-in-law, Manny, Sr.; mother, Marcia Kanouse; grandchildren, Manny, Jr., Ashley, Rachel, Danny; sisters, Sue Ruiz, Susan Driskill and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 20, 1999 at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 545 S.5th Ave. Arrangements by HEATHER MORTUARY, an aftercare provider.

KLOPFENSTEIN, Harry James, 68, died March 9, 1999. Husband of Kate Klopfenstein; father of Pat (David) Brackney, Norma (Dan) Salinger, Mary (Ed) Irwin, Cindy Frazier, Tom (Lisa) Klopfenstein and Philip Klopfenstein; brother of Zola (Sterling) Rediger, Fern (Dillon) Graber, Dorothy (Ora) Morningstar, Edith (Kenneth) Wogomon, Wayne (Miriam) Klopfenstein, Ted Klopfenstein, Keith (Joan) Klopfenstein and Wilbur (Doris) Klopfenstein; 17 grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by sisters, Betty Klopfenstein and Bernice Hauder. Memorial Service 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 12 at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. LAHIFF, Margaret Shea, released her magnificent mortal spirit and returned to the arms of God in Tucson, AZ, Tuesday, March 9, 1999. Margie had been asked to wage a lifelong struggle against respiratory and skeletal illness but neither was enough to diminish her sense of humor or love of life. She had just begun a life of retirement spending winters in Tucson and summers in Woodbury, Vermont when she was called and without complaint went home.
Margaret Diane Shea was born in Montpelier, VT and attended St. Michael's grade and high school. She attended Fairleigh Dickenson University. She had lived in New Jersey, Arizona and Barre and Woodbury, VT. She worked for 22 years at Paige and Campbell Insurance Agency, and was an SRS Proxy for the state of Vermont. She was a member of American Association of Insurance Women. Her great joy in life was sharing her sense of humor with others and she took an active part in arranging reunions for her class of 1952 at St.Michael's. She was an avid reader, an intense college basketball fan, was an excellent interpreter regarding anything political and had a distinctive laugh that those who knew her will long remember.
Margaret was predeceased by her first husband, Nicholas Roy Giordano and her sister, Marolyn Shea. Survivors include her husband, William Lahiff; sons, Michael, Winchendon, MA, Nicholas, Oakland, NJ and Kevin Giordano of Wilbraham, MA; sister, Ellen Brigham, Woodbury, VT; brothers, Harold P. Shea of Montpelier, VT and Charles Shea of Burlington, VT; grandchildren, Monica, Matthew, Nicholas and Emma.
Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 12, 1999 at HEATHER MORTUARY, 1040 N. Columbus Blvd. A Mass will follow at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1300 N. Greasewood Road at 12:00 noon. Cremation will take placeafter the mass. Arrangements by HEATHER MORTUARY, an aftercare provider.

LOPEZ, Etirsa M., died Monday, March 8, 1999 in Tucson. Born at Christmas, Arizona. Survived by son, Arthur E. Lopez of St.Angelo, Texas; two daughters, Margaret D. (Chris) Tortorici of Adger, Alabama, Ida G. (Eddie) Monje of Tucson, AZ; sister, Toni Staley of Tucson, AZ; six grandchildren, Felicia B. Lopez, Chris and Michael Tortorici, Gary D. Miller, Arthur R. Miller, Stephanie Linders; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchildren. Mass will be said at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 12, 1999 at St. John's Catholic Church, 602 W. Ajo, with burial to follow at Holy Hope cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at WOLFREY PEACE CHAPEL, 5225 E. Speedway, where Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m.

MILLER, Mary F., passed away on March 9, 1999. Miss Miller was born in Grafton, North Dakota. She has been a resident of Tucson for seventy-two years. Forty-four of those years were spent as a teacher, counselor and Principal of Robison Elementary School. During her professional career Miss Miller had a great influence on numerous students and teachers. She was very well respected, loved an d admired by students, teachers and parents alike. Miller Elementary School was named to honor Miss Mary Miller, and her two sisters, Miss Maude Miller and Mrs. Nell Miller Johnson. All three retired as educators in T.U.S.D. and are now deceased. It is requested that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to a charity of one's choice. At Miss Miller's request, there will not be a memorial service.

ROSS, Dewey Ernest, 61, died March 8, 1999. Husband of Dianna Kay Ross; father of Ronda (Steve) Swenson, Renee (Kevin) Chocklett, and Randall Ross; grandfather of Garrett and Madison Swenson, Tyler, Austin and Derrick Chocklett; brother of Henry Poage, Ronald Poage and Bobby Densmore. Memorial Service 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 12th with Rev. Howard Higgins officiating. Donations in Dewey's memory may be made to Pocahontas County Library, P.O. Box 132, Hillsboro, W. Virginia 24946. Peter P. Sandoval, Of Melrose, WI, died February 18, 1999. Born January 20, 1919 in Magdalena Sonora, Mexico to Mercedes Palomino and Francisco Noriega Sandoval. preceded in death by parents. Survived by three sisters, Frances P. Sandoval, Josephine (Bert) Ramirez and Blanche Valenzuela; brother, Michael P.Sandoval. Mr. Sandoval served in World War II with 602 Tank Destroyers Div., under General Patton in France, Austria, Belgium, Germany and cross the Rhine River. He was a member of the Elks Club of Ariz. Memorial Mass will be held March 12, 1999, 10:30 a.m. at St. Augustine Cathedral, 192 S. Stone. Inurnment at Holy Hope cemetery.

TELLOR, Evelyn Bernice, 86, died March 10, 1999. Mother of Barbara (Gordon) Dallas, Wayne (Sharon) Tellor, Joan (Clyde) Brown, Jack Tellor, Carol Keeton, Sharon (Ned) Lips and Bill (Mary Anne) Tellor. Sister of Virginia Cripps and Jean (Paul) Sims; 32 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild also survives. Funeral service, 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 13 at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, with Pastor James Hoogenboom officiating, with interment to follow at TMP East Lawn. Donations in Evelyn's memory may be made to Compassion Christian Center, 8423 E. Broadway, Tucson, AZ 85710. JOLEE ANN VALENZUELA, age 41, of Tucson, went to be with theLord on March 7, 1999. She leaves to cherish her loving memory her children, Veronica 19, Fabian 17, Felina 12 and Mariah 6; parents, Dolly and Mary Jo Forren; sisters, Julie (Ron) Gaines, Lisa (Dale) Heintz and Janet (Don) Bruce. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 12, 1999 at the Mortuary Chapel. Friends may visit from 9:00 a.m.until service time. Interment South Lawn cemetery. AMLIN, Naomi Victoria, she left this world while giving life to her second son, Zachary, a dream, a wish, a burning desire she had patiently waited for a younger sibling for her six year old son, Michael, her pride and joy.
We miss you Naomi, your loyalty for friends and family is so rare today. Your zeal for life, and to give life was a much apart of you as breathing. Your were a devoted wife, a loving mother and friend. Thank you for lifting up our lives and our spirits by motivating us, nurturing us, and believing in us to the extent that we began to believe in ourselves.
We know Jehovah holds a place in Paradise for special ones like you.
Naomi V. Amlin, 25, died Tuesday, March 9, 1999. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Royale Amlin and two sons, Michael Patrick age six and Zachary Ryan born March 9, 1999. Also surviving are parents, Frank and Victoria Mendoza both of Tucson, AZ; four younger sisters, Rosalie Juliet Amlin of Salt Lake, Therese Michelle Mendoza of Salt Lake, Stephanie Jean Mendoza of Phoenix, Vanessa SueAnn Mendoza of Tucson.
Born March 11, 1973 in Tucson, AZ. She was married to Dennis Amlin December 29, 1991.
Naomi was employed by Southwest Airlines as a reservations agent. Among many hobbies her interest revolved around family and friends.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 13, open to the public include burial services at graveside, Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road at 11:00 a.m. Also memory services at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 6:00 p.m., 3164 South 7200 West, Magna. Arrangements by Memorial Mortuary, Salt Lake city, Utah.

ELVA SMITH BALDRIDGE - Born October 5, 1924 in Ravenden, Ark., passed away March 6, 1999 after a long illness. Widow of S. Sgt. Virgil Baldridge. Beloved mother of Helen (Rex) Waite, Leon Baldridge of California and Virgil Baldridge, Jr. of Tucson; sister of Otis Smith of Ark., Judy Moore of Ohio and Kitty Wales of Tucson. Known for her love of children, she was 'Mom' to numerous neighborhood children including, Nancy, Gary and Ralph. Grandmother of Steve and Brian Baldridge (California). Long time resident of Tucson, she retired from Lucky Food Stores in 1986. Memorial service 1:00 p.m., Sunday, March 14th at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway. Reception to follow.

BENDER, Stanley F., 69, passed away March 8, 1999 in Tucson, AZ. He was a veteran of the Armed Forces. preceded in death by his parents and son, Alan. Survived by his daughter, Kimberly Wells; son-in-law, Marshall; sons, Brett and Sean; grandsons, Tony, Nicholas, Marshall and Alexander; granddaughters, Christine, Lori and Heather; and four great-grandchildren. Also survived by brothers, Don and Russ; sister-in-law, Barb, and sister, Mariann, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial gathering will be Saturday, March 13, 1999 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at 4753 S.Manitoba Ave.

BUTLER, Freeda G., 86, died March 10, 1999. Among those that survive Freeda are: son, Clancy and his wife, Ruth; grandson, Curtiss; one brother and two sisters.Freeda was a long time resident of Tucson. preceded in death by husband, Clarence. DICKENS, Durward T., a resident of Tucson for the past 45 years, passed away March 9, 1999. Born January 1, 1928 in Nashville, Tennessee. Mr. Dickens was a Boy Scout Leader, Retired USAF and retired from the DM Credit Union. He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Helen; stepchildren, Raubin (Libbie), Rick (Judy), Kyle (Debbie) and Kelly Randels; eight grandchildren, Jeromy, Jason, Jeffrey, Cortney, Matthew, Katie, Casey Lynn and Todd Randels. Additional survivors include daughters, Shirley Ann Mostowy, Margarite Dickens and Mary Elizabeth Dickens; sons, Derwood T. Dickens and James D. Dickens; grandchildren, Reginald Godsey, Cherie Ann, Elizabeth and Graymon Mostowy, Jr., Loretta Lynn and James Douglas Dickens. A funeral service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 16, 1999 at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY, 5401 S. Park Ave. Burial will follow at South Lawn cemetery. Arrangements by South Lawn Mortuary, a certified aftercare provider.

JAMES FIDELLAR FLANARY, 89, of Tucson, AZ passed away on March 9, 1999 after a short illness. He is survived by loving daughter, Sandra (Arthur) Caldwell; grandsons, James (LeAnn) Caldwell and Randy Caldwell, all of Tucson; and great-grandson, Kristopher Caldwell of Nederland, CO; sister Elizabeth (James) Williams of Ocala, FL. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy, in 1990; son, Michael Flanary in 1957; and also grandson, Michael Caldwell in 1994.
Mr. Flanary's late parents were Crittenden County, Kentucky High Sheriff, James Fidellar and Mary Olive (McConnell) Flanary of Marion, KY.
Mr. Flanary was employed by G.M. Truck & coach, Pontiac, MI for 20 years in Quality Control, Manufacturing, Personnel and Engineering Divisions. Afterward, he was Manager of Manufacturing and Plant Engineering, White Motor Co., Lansing, MI. Other firms were Ford Motor Co. and Crosley-Avco Co. He also worked for various contract engineering firms as Manufacturing and Plant engineer to firms engaged in the manufacture of missiles, nuclear reactors, military armament, army tanks, jet engines, military and domestic aircraft including 747 landing gear, autos, trucks and buses and many others. He also worked for facilities in Canada, India and Brazil.
He also was a real estate salesman and a Special Deputy Sheriff in Oakland County, MI.
His activity in public service in the past included: Captain Comdg. Co. I, 3rd Bn., 33rd Inf. Regt., Michigan States Troops. Member of Oakland County, MI, Board of Supervisors. Chairman Pontiac, Michigan Police & Fire Trial Board. U.S. Air Force Aircraft Spotter.
He was a Life Member of Masonic Lodge 561, Pontiac, MI. Also former Elks Lodge Member, Pontiac, MI.
Mr. Flanary had been a resident of Tucson for the past 20 years.
Memorial service will be in Tucson at ADAIR AVALON CHAPEL, 8090 N. Northern Ave, at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 13th. Burial will be at White Chapel Memorial cemetery, Troy, MI.
