JAMIESON, William Alexander, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 16, 1999 in his 60th year. He is survived by his daughter, Rachel Jamieson and his former wife, Marlies Schorkops (nee Schafer) both residing in Belgium. Survived by his wife, Commander Linda Brown-Vidal (United States Navy) of Silver Spring, MD; sons, Joseph (Lori) Vida of Sacramento, CA and Ricky Lumpkin of Hayward, California; daughters, Suzanne Vidal of Hayward, CA and Laura Vidal of Boulder, Colorado; five grandchildren all of Sacramento, CA; mother, Elvira B. Vidal of Tucson, AZ; brother, Leo R. Vidal (Anita) of Tucson, AZ; sister, Nellie Rhodes of Tucson, AZ; nieces, Yvonne L. Fox, Darlene M. Dyckman, Valerie Ann Vidal, Stephanie M. Gradillas (Steve), Jennifer Lee Vidal (Jay) all of Tucson; nephews, Darrell E. (Michelle) Rhodes of Tucson.
Jose graduated from Tucson High School in 1954 and enlisted in the Marine Corps. Jose received his Under graduate degree from San Francisco State University in 1963 and earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from USC in 1976. In 1997 Dr. and Commander Vidal were stationed in Silver Spring, Maryland. While in Silver Spring, MD, Dr. Vidal accepted a position as staff psychologist at the hospital of the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis.
Dr. Jose Carlos Vidal was buried at Arlington National cemetery in Virginia with full military honors presented by the United States Marine Corps Honor Guard on March 8th, 1999. There will be a memorial mass offered on Saturday, March 27, 1999 at Saint Johns the Evangelist Catholic church, 602 W. Ajo Way, Tucson, AZ at 10:00 a.m.
Our family will miss Jose Carlos, greatly, for his kindness and gentle manner. For those of us who were fortunate to have spent time with him it was a blessing to have him in our lives.
WETMORE, Everett Charles, 72, died March 24, 1999. Everett was a beloved husband and best friend to Claire; loving and devoted father of Laurie D. Bragg and David C. (Geralynn M.) BETTY JANE EYMAN, 75, born in Jerome, Arizona, passed away March 23, 1999. She grew up in Jerome and later moved to Phoenix where her father was a prominent lawyer. She married
Jack Rowe and lived in Tucson for 20 years, remarried
and moved to Mesa and worked for Mt. Bell for 15 years, retired in Scottsdale and Tucson. She will be remembered as a wonderful mother and grandmother who loved gourmet cooking and all animals big and small. GALLAGHER, Frank X., 74, of Tucson, died March 24, after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. Mr. Gallagher was born May 20, 1924 in Brooklyn, NY, and has lived in Tucson the past 44 years. He retired in 1986 as supervisor of the corporate auditors in the Tucson office of the Arizona Department of Revenue. A veteran of WWII, he served with the Seabees in the Pacific area. He is survived by sister, Marion Groth; nephew, Robert Groth; nieces, Karen Serrano, all of Axford, NY and Eileen Hunter, Brooklyn, NY. He is also survived by two grandnieces and a great grandniece, all in the NY area.
