Rogelio (Roy) Ronquillo Romero - Born June 11, 1927 to Alfredo and Juanita Romero (deceased). Went to be with the Lord on April 11, 1999. Roy served his country in WWII and received an Honorable Discharge in 1952. He is also preceded in death by sister Amelia Granillo and brother Rudy Romero. He is survived by brothers, Adolfo R. Serreno, Ernesto Romero, Roberto Romero and sister Beatriz R. Gastello. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. We will all miss you very much! We Love You! WILSON, Virginia D., age 88, died April 14, 1999. She was born in Kirksville, MO, where she attended the public schools and graduated from the Northeast Missouri State Teachers College. She taught for a number of years in northeast MO, before moving to Marshall, MO, where she met her husband Shelby. They married
in Omaha, NE, in 1944, later moving to the Chicago area where she did substitute teaching for a few years. They moved to Tucson, AZ, in 1950, where she served as a substitute teacher until she became part of the first faculty of Palo Verde High School, teaching there for 24 years. She received her Masters Degree from the University of Arizona. She was an active member of the AAUW and the Catalina United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Shelby Wilson of Tucson; son, John (Gwen); and grandsons, Brian and James, all of Yakima, WA; sister, Thelma Dobson of Tucson; and several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from4:00 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 16, 1999, at ADAIR FUNERAL HOME DODGE CHAPEL, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway). Another artist is painting the landscapes of Heaven. Alfretta 'Fritz' Louella Roush, born in Glassport, Pennsylvania on November 19, 1921, passed through the gates of Heaven April 12, 1999. Mrs. Roush, a 42 year resident of Tucson and Catalina, AZ was a true renaissance woman; singing, dancing and painting her way through life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph W. & Georgia K. Fifield; and loving husband, Fred Grant Roush. She is survived by her sisters, Geraldine Halter and Maxine Pippi; her five sons, Bradley, Nelson, Fred, Julian and Hal Roush; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. WESTER, Jeffrey H., passed away on April 15, 1999 from complications from heart surgery. Jeff was born on July 25, 1964. He is survived by parents, Gerald and Joy Wester; sisters, Joni Jo (Thomas) Edgar, Jennifer (Sal) Martinez; brothers, Jack (Terry) Wester and Jarrold Wester, all of Tucson; also survived by grandmother, Claire Wester; and aunt, Arlene Wasilowski; nephews Johnny (Lendsey) Basteen, Michael Basteen, Brandon Uphaus and Joshua Wester, niece, Heather Basteen; also two great-nephews, Ashten and Matthew Basteen; cousins, Cynthia (Kevin) Staggs and Michelle and Glenda Staggs. Jeff was also afflicted with Becker Muscular Dystrophy. Despite having MD he was active with off road racing. He was currently working towards a masters degree in Clinical and Rehab Counseling from the University of Arizona. Jeff spent the last eight months in the heart center at UMC on an artificial heart after suffering a heart attack last September. He was an inspiration to all who knew him both at school and off road racing. Jeff was born and raised in Tucson attending Helen Keeling School and Amphi Jr. and High School. He worked for Unitronics and National Semi Conductor.After leaving there he attended Pima College and the University of Arizona. He was also a member of the Tucson Bonsai Society. He will be missed by all whose lives he touched. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the charity of your choice. WILLIAMSON, Archibald Stewart Roxburgh (“Archie'), died April 11, 1999 in Tucson, Arzona of a stroke at the age of 88. Born in Valparaiso, Chile, the only child of Henry and Muriel Williamson. He was educated at Sandroyd, Harrow School and Trinity College, Cambridge University, earning a commission with the Black Watch Regiment. Until the outbreak of World War II, he was with Balfour, Williamson, and Co., part of a world-wide merchant trading group of companies. Throughout the War, he was with the British Food Mission, after which time he rejoined the Balfour organization, remaining until its acquisition in the mid sixties. He then became a co-founder of Balfour, Maclaine Inc. of New York, until he retired in 1971. Amongst the organizations in which he was active was the English Speaking Union, the British Schools and Universities Foundation, and the Scottish Heritage Trust. He was predeceased by his wife, Leonor Mansfeld of Tucson and a son, Christopher Henry. Survivors include a daughter, Anita Scales of Greenwich, Conn; a son, Alexander and his wife, Roberta, of Atlanta, Ga, and grandchildren Elena, Stephen and his wife Erin, Derek and Wendy, plus numerous cousins in North American, the British Isles, Chile, Australia, New Zealand, and The Seychelles. Services will be held at St. Philip's in the Hills Episcopal Church, 4440 N. Campbell Avenue and River Road, Tucson, on Tuesday, April 20, 1999 at 8:45 a.m. A reception will follow the service. THOMAS EDWARD ALLEN, 89, of Tucson, passed away April 15, 1999. Born February 3, 1910 in DeQueen, Arkansas. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Lucille; three children, Sue (Richard) Bartholomew, Joyce (Joe) Friedheim, and Thomas (Norma) Allen, Jr.; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. His family loved and respected him. He came to Arizona from Arkansas in 1926. During his lifetime he worked for Southern Pacific Railroad, Western Union, the City of Tucson, and for 38 years was foreman of the electrical department of the Tucson Public Schools. He also had his own electrical contracting company. Upon retirement in 1975, he served as a maintenance foreman for PF West. He was a four time gold medalist in bowling in the Arizona Senior Olympics. He was also an excellent card player. He will be missed. There will be a memorial service at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3700 E. Ft. Lowell at 3:00 p.m.Saturday, April 17.

JOHN C. NICHOLS
Died March 22, 1999 in Palm Springs, CA born March 22, 1938 to the late Jack and Mary O. Nichols of Birmingham, AL. John lived in Tucson for many years where he was active in his community. He was owner of Westronics Business Systems, and Saddleback Ranch Nursery. He was a member of the Tucson National Country Club, loved golfing and was an avid sports fan.
John is survived by his wife, Terri; sons, Joshua and Jason of Palm Springs; and children of a previous marriage to the late Miriam Nichols, Sharon McGoffin of Tucson, Kelly McGalliard of Palm Desert, CA, Holly Nichols, Tucson, and Dr. John C. Nichols, Jr., St. Louis, MO. Also survived by sisters, Sylvia Fox, Birmingham, Martha Travis, Salt Lake City, UT, Grace Sims, San Dimas, CA, Cecilia Howell, Tucson, Dale Farmer, Birmingham; brother, Joseph Nichols, Waco, TX; grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by sister, Mary Vance.
John is greatly loved and missed by his family and all who knew him. A Requiem Mass was held March 27 at St. Francis Assisi in Palm Springs with interment in Palm Springs, CA.
