JUNGENBERG, Vincent F., age 70, a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Mr. Jungenberg was a 30 year resident of Arizona and an Air Force Veteran. He passed away April 20, 1999 in Tucson. Born September 21, 1928 in Oxford, Wisconsin. His loving wife, Janie; 14 children, 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren survive Mr. Jungenberg. Noted Pianist Dies
The very loved Virginia M. Kinney died unexpectedly Tuesday, April 20, 1999. Her parents, George and Mildred Kinney, preceded her, as did her brother Tom in their demise. Virginia was born in Toledo, Ohio 78 years ago. She was put at the piano at the age of three. Virginia received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of St. Benedict and later joined the staff. She received a scholarship to pursue her Master's degree under the supervision of Mr. R. Ganz, the world famous Swiss Concert Pianist, famous for establishing the Chicago Musical College. As a known perfectionist, Virginia gave many concerts in Chicago during this time. After studying under Mr. M. Hartsell in the University of Arizona School of Music, Virginia joined the Pima County Rural District where she was promoted to the position of Fine Arts Director. Virginia was known for her organizational abilities, precision enthusiasm, and excellent opportunities for grade schoolers to perform. Her performances were a proud representation of her work. Virginia lived in Tucson for the last 45 years with her dear friend, Sara Purvin. She will be sorely missed.
LARKIN, Miriam M., 84, of Tucson, left us on Monday, April 19, 1999. preceded in death by her parents, William and Sarah Louise Masters. Survivors include her daughter, Lois (Jay) Moosman; granddaughter, Janet Anaya of Tucson; brother, Bill (Aimee) Masters of Bermuda and sister, Dottie (Paul) Glazier of Brewster, MA, and long time friend, Helen Matthews of Tucson. In 1964, the Tucson Board of Realtors named Miriam 'Realtor of the Year' as well as being elected Women's Council President. She became the first woman president of Multiple Listing Service in 1975. SELLERS, Emma B., 86, passed away Monday, April 19, 1999 in Neligh, NE. She was born in Leitchfield, Kentucky on March 18, 1913, and has been a resident of Tucson since 1948. She was preceded in death by son, Lewis Douglas Shrewsbury and her husbands, Virgil Shrewsbury and Loura Harry Sellers. She is survived by daughters, Lois Elaine Shrewsbury, Marian Murillo; son, David J. Shrewsbury; 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and sister, Pauline Cope of Salem, OR. Joan Ann Tylczak, born November 27, 1944, in Chicago, IL, died on Tuesday afternoon, April 20, 1999 in Tucson, AZ, where she has resided for the last 10 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Stephanie (Wujtowicz) Tylczak. She is survived by brother, Philip R. Smith of Sydney, Australia; sisters, Joyce (John) Krempen and Carol Marion of Tucson, AZ and Karen (Bill) Rizer and Janice (Paul) Stechman of Chicago, IL. She is also survived by nephews, Tim and Tom Smith, David Stechman, Chris Marion and Joey Rizer; nieces, Cindy Dolan and her daughter, Jessica, Kim (Jayson) Fultz and Sara Rizer; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Joan had a very generous heart and loved her family. She will be dearly missed by them and the many friends she made throughout the years. Take a moment to remember good times shared with her. EPSTEIN, Byron, 66, resident of Tucson for 55 years, died April 22, 1999. She was recipient of the Prestigious 1996 Arizona Hope Award given annually by the Arizona Credit Union League, honoring 'People who help other people everyday.' Lillian was also a licensed Real Estate Agent for Executive One Realty and a full-time wonderful person. HUKE, Lawrence (Larry) A., was born in Omaha, Nebraska on September 28, 1914 and died in Tucson, Arizona on April 21, 1999. He moved to Denver, Colorado at an early age and became a prominent community leader and businessman in Arvada, Colorado. He retired to Arizona in 1980. He brought happiness to all that knew him. He is loved and will be missed by his wife, Ellie; son, Michael; daughter-in-law, Sandy; and three grandchildren, Zachary, Casey, and Heidi. A private family service was held.
JOHNSON, Virginia Eiseline, died March 30, 1999 at La Canada Care Center. She was born in Canandaigua, NY on June 21, 1913. She is survived by her husband, O. Byron Johnson; her daughter and son-in- law, Janet and David Davis; her granddaughter, Cherie Baird; two great-grandchildren, Tanya Vasquez and Cameron Baird and a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Marian Eiseline all of Tucson. Also surviving are four stepchildren and several step grandchildren on the East Coast. Virginia was a teacher and reading specialist in New York State and had taught in many different environments from six grades in a one room school through college classes. She was a graduate of the State University of New York and also attended Penn State. There will be a memorial service on Saturday May 1 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 750 W. Chapala Drive.
