FORESTER, Aaron, age 26, of Tucson, passed away April 23, 1999. He is survived by his parents, Patrick and Deborah Forester; grandmother, Violet Seese; stepfather, Robert Layer; and aunt, Sharon (Al) Carrion. There will be a celebration of life for close friends in Tucson. Interment services will be private in Hawaii. Arrangements by family owned ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, (Dodge Chapel).

GIBBS, Mary E., April 24, 1999 of Tucson, AZ and Birmingham, MI. Daughter of the late Charles and Mabel Gibbs; sister of Charles F. Gibbs of Tucson; aunt of Charles F. Gibbs, Jr. of Lake Orion, MI and Mary Ingles of San Diego, CA. Also survived by six great-nieces and nephews and six great-great-nieces and nephews. Funeral service at The Wm. R. Hamilton of Birmingham, 820 E. Maple, Friday, April 30 at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorial service in Tucson, AZ at the Santa Catalina Villas Community Center, 7500 N. Calle Sin Envidia, Thursday at 7:00 p.m.

JIMINEZ, Sister Mary Louise, 88, of Tucson, died April 24, 1999. Sister Mary Louise is survived by a sister, Consuelo and many nieces and nephews all in California. Sister has been a devoted member of the Sisters Immaculate Heart of Mary for 72 years. Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 29 with Reverend Roland Bedard officiating all at Immaculate Heart Chapel, 4100 N. Sabino Canyon Rd. Burial will follow at Holy Hope cemetery. Arrangements by VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 327-6341.

Connie Jones-Stevenson (nee Evans) - Born July 5, 1931, died April 26, 1999. Survived by her husband, Thomas R. Stevenson; children, Karen (Don) Pierce, Linda (James) Jones, Christopher and Janice Jones; mother, Myrtle Evans; brother, Charles L. Evans; grandchildren, Michael (Tami), Christy, Matthew, Chandra, Shayne, Kevin, Cory, Caelan, Nicole, Ryan and Aaron; great-grandson, Jake. Connie was a former employee of Southern Pacific Credit Union. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 29, 1999 at EAST LAWN PALMS CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Burial to follow at East Lawn Palms cemetery.

LEWALLEN, Arthur L., 77, of Tucson, died April 24, 1999. Husband of Irene S. of Tucson; father of Spencer W. Lewallen of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Karen L. Marshall of Phoenix, Ariz.; two grandchildren; brother of John Lewallen of Mayer, Ariz., Margarite Sterns of Ohio. LUNDBY, William 'Bill' passed away April 23, 1999 in St. Mary's Hospice, after a brief illness. He was born July 25, 1925 in St. Paul, Minnesota and is survived by his loving wife, Elda; four daughters, Judy (Duane) Stiernert of Seattle, WA, Kathy Jo Rouhoff of Marana, Terry (Mel) Arnea of Marana, Patty (Joe) Allen of San Antonio, TX; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two brothers, Ed and Len Lundby; and one sister, Dorothy Allred. Bill was a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and graduated from the Univ. of Nevada with a Master's degree in Geology. Recently, Bill was on the Boards of Trico Charitable Trust and the Marana Water Improvement District. He was also a member of the QB of America and AGS. At his request there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Mary's Hospice. Arrangements by HEATHER MORTUARY. His humor 'raised eyebrows' and quick wit will be missed by all of his friends and family. We love you, Dad.

SCHLENCK, Cecelia D., 92, of Oregon, died April 23, 1999 in Tigard, Washington. Mother of Lavergne Dietrich of Hillsboro, Oregon; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren. Graveside service at Holy Hope cemetery, Friday, April 30, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. Arrangements by ABBEY FUNERAL CHAPEL, 3435 N. 1st Ave. (888-1111). BESSE, Robert Wells, 81, died April 27, 1999. Husband of Elizabeth Purtell Besse; loving father of Elizabeth Scott (Francis Kendall) Adams, Edward Jay (Patricia) Besse and Robert W. Besse III; brother of Kennard Besse of Sterling, Ill.; brother-in-law of William Sims; grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his sister, Allene Sims. Robert was a graduate of Sterling High School in Sterling, Ill. He served in the Army Air Corps. during WW II and was a P.O.W. during that time and belonged to the American EX. P.O.W.'s. Memorial Mass 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 1, at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1375 S. Camino Seco. Donations in Robert's memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 5325 E. Pima, Tucson, Arizona 85712. Arrangements by BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

ANNAN COOK, 85, long-time Tucson resident and well-known mining geologist, died early Friday morning, April 23, 1999, at La Rosa Healthcare Center after a long illness.
He was born November 13, 1913 at Bwana Mkubwa, Northern Rhodesia, (now Zambia), the third child of James and Eve Rogers Cook. He was the first child of European descent to be born in Northern Rhodesia. His childhood was spent in England and South Africa and Southern Rhodesia now Zimbabwe. He graduated from Prince Edward High School in Salisbury, now Harare, Southern Rhodesia in 1932.
He attended Rhodes University in Grahamstown, South Africa and received a Bachelor of Science degree in geology from there in 1935. In 1936, he was awarded a Rhodes Scholarship and attended Pembroke College, Oxford, England, where he received a Master of Arts degree in Science in 1938.
He married Nancy Hannah Athol Brown January 6, 1939 in Cape Town, South Africa. Their daughter, Annette was born in 1946. During and after WWII, Mr. Cook worked for several South African and Canadian mining companies, including Frobisher, Ltd. In 1949, the family emigrated to the United States, where he joined Kennecott Copper Corp. in New York City. He remained with the company and its subsidiaries in a variety of executive positions until he took early retirement in 1975.
He was an avid golfer, a Master Gardener and volunteer in the training programs for medical students at the University of Arizona.
His wife, Nancy, preceded him in death in August 1998. He is survived by his daughter, Annette Koonce of Bella Visa, AR and his granddaughter, Deborah Annette Green and great-grandson, Earl-David Annan Green of Odessa, TX.
Cremation arrangements are through ARIZONA MORTUARY. There will be no funeral service, but the family asks that memorial donations be sent in Annan's name to the United Cerebral Palsy, 1661 N. Swan Road, Suite 300, Tucson, AZ 85712.

Stella Sherrill Coulter, 86, former assistant to the director of St. Luke's Home for Women, died Wednesday, April 28, 1999 at Villa Campana Care Home. A native of Catawba, NC, she retired to Tucson in the early 1970's following a career as an educator that included work as a reading improvement specialist for U.S. Army dependent schools in France, Germany and Japan and as an elementary school librarian in Porterdale, GA. Miss Coulter, who had also done public relations work for the U.S. Army, was an accomplished pianist and world traveler. She attended Mars Hill (NC) College and Meredith College in Raleigh, NC, and earned her BS degree at the University of Georgia in Athens and her MA degree at George Peabody College in Nashville, TN. Her parents were J.H.L. and Eula Sherrill Coulter. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Seth Coulter and Flake Coulter. She is survived by a sister, Jimmie Coulter Ellis, of Cadiz, KY; and nieces, nephews and many dear friends. A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 1, in the chapel of Catalina United Methodist Church at 2700 E. Speedway. A family graveside service will be scheduled in Catawba, NC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Stella's memory to St. Luke's Home, 615 E. Adams, Tucson, AZ 85705.

HINTON, Vivienne E., age 93, a 50 year resident of Tucson, passed away April 28, 1999. Born February 22, 1906 in West Lafayette, Indiana. Survived by her daughters, JoAnn Neal and Mary Lou (David) Sandrock; grandchildren, Steven Beazley, Ken Sandrock, Diane Wentzel and Elithabeth Neal; six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Her family will have a private memorial service. Arrangements by South Lawn Mortuary, a certified aftercare provider.

MUELLER, Loren, 69, died April 15, 1999. Arrangements by BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

NILSEN, Don O., 64, a resident of Green Valley for 17 years, passed away on April 25, 1999, after a short, but valiant fight with cancer.
Upon arriving to Arizona in 1982, Don worked as vice president of sales for Santa Cruz Valley Pecan, Co. in Sahuarita, after which he was a food broker in the tree nut industry.
He graduated from the University of Utah, served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean War, and was a member of the American Legion G.V. Post #66.
Don is survived by his beloved wife, Kylene; his sons, Spencer of Corning, Calif. and Lester of Tucson, Ariz.; his daughters, Randi Siemens of Magalia, Calif., Jane Warren, and her husband, John of Modesto, Calif; six grandchildren; a brother, Frank of Mountain View, Calif; his sisters, Marie Moore of Ochoe, Fla., Margaret George, and her husband, Joe of Garland, Texas, and their families.
Remembrances may be made to Friends in Deed of Green Valley.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 1, at 10:00 a.m. at the Green Valley Mortuary & Memorial Gardens.

SOMOZA, Juanita, went to be with her Heavenly Father after s short illness on April 26, 1999. She was born March 28, 1939 in Cuadrilla, Texas. She moved to Elfrida, Arizona in 1956 then to Tucson in 1972. She is survived by her husband, Jose Isidro Somoza; daughters, Rose Mary (Gilbert) Aguillar, Julie (Salvador) Gonzalez; son, Jorge (Pricilla) Somoza; nine grandchildren; sister, Alice; brothers, Jose, Manuel, Rudy, William. A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, April 30, 1999 at Calvary Chapel, 5170 S. Julian Dr. Graveside services will be held at 9:00 a.m. onSaturday, May 1, 1999 at Our Lady of the Desert cemetery. Arrangements by SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY, an aftercare provider.

TRAVAGLIONE, Luigi Alfred, 67, of Tucson, formerly of Boston, MA, died April 25, 1999. Luigi is survived by wife, Teresa; sons, Louis and Robert Travaglione, and three grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be offered 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 30 at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church. Arrangements by VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 327-6341.

URIAS, Bernardino Rivera, 18, of Tucson, AZ, born September 20, 1980, died April 23, 1999. Survived by parents, Rene and Elizabeth Quevedo; brothers, Jesus Urias, Jaime Rivera; sister, Ana Susana Urias Villa; grandmother, Eva V. Rivera; grandparents, Francisco and Rita Urias, also survived by aunts and uncles, Cecilia Baltazar, Diana (Robert) Mungia, Rosalie Mercado, Victoria (John) Harvey; Gloria (John) Molina, Rosa Maria, Digo, Margarita, Calletano, Eleticia, Alma, Myrna, Francisco de Urias; and many loving cousins. Services will be held at 406 W. 35th St. on Friday, April 30th, visitation 4:00 p.m. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be held Saturday, May 1st at Santa Cruz Church at 9:00 a.m. Burial to follow at San Xavier cemetery.

AGUIRRE, Eleazar C., born April 14, 1940, entered eternal life April 26, 1999. Survived by mother, Manuela C. Aguirre; nieces and nephews. preceded in death by father, Juan T. Aguirre; sister, Carmen C. Tovar and brother, Arnoldo Cancio. Cremation services have been offered.

BELL, Ruth Katherine Euell, daughter of Curley and Mary Euell, departed from this life on April 21, 1999 in Sylmar, California. born September 2, 1923 in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Ruth moved with her family to McNary, Arizona at the age of two. Later they moved to Tucson in 1933. After nurse training in Wilmington, North Carolina, Ruth returned to Tucson, where she later met Roy Bell and married him. They moved to Los Angeles, where four children were born to this union. Funeral services were held in San Fernando, Calif. on April 24, 1999. A 'Get together' with friends in Tucson will beheld in May in an informal session of 'I Remember Ruth'.
