Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 1, 1999 at St. Nicholas Parish, 349 W. 31st St., Tucson, AZ. Services will be held Sunday, May 2, 1999, 6:30 a.m. at St. Peters cemetery, Bapchule, AZ. FOLDENAUER, Marie, 87, of Tucson, passed away April 28, 1999. Survived by daughters, Toby (Leonard) Lange and Phyllis Grimaldi all of Tucson; grandchildren, Kathleen Nardozza, Wendy Lange, Vicki Railsback all of Tucson, James Meyer of FL; three great-grandchildren; sister, Rose Lisak of Chicago, IL and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Foldenauer was predeceased by her husband, Ralph M. Foldenauer on February 20, 1976. Memorial service Monday, 11:00 a.m., Casas Adobes Baptist Church, 2131 W. Ina Rd. EMILIA CAMOU MONTANO, 89, a longtime resident of Tucson, died peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving children on April 28, 1999. preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Leonides B. Montano. Survived by her children, Violet Heeb, Leo (Rose Marie) Montano, Irma (Richard) Flores, Grace (Albert) Rigoli, Norma (Gavin) Kayner, RoseMary (Robert) Miranda, Ralph (Esther) Montano, Joseph Montano, Elizabeth (Richard) Rollman; 32 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren and her loyal doggie 'Gumby'. Emilia fulfilled her greatest mission in life which was to instill love, loyalty and support toward one another amongst her family. We glorify God for the blessing He gave us, 'Our Mom.' Mass will be offered Monday, 9:00 a.m. at Santa Cruz Church, 1220 S. 6th Ave. Interment to follow at Holy Hope cemetery. PEARSON, Janet Vogel, died peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on April 28, 1999. She was born on December 12, 1928 in Fargo, ND to Judge Charles J. Vogel and Fern Nesbitt Vogel and is survived by her brother, Jon Vogel of Scottsdale, AZ; daughter, Sara Pearson of San Rafael, CA; sons, Mart Pearson of Asti, Italy and Lindley Pearson of San Diego, CA; seven grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Janet grew up in Fargo and graduated from Goucher College in Baltimore, MD and received her Masters Degree in Social Work at the University of MD. She began her career in Social Work in Baltimore, then moved to Tucson in 1976 where she dedicated an additional 26 years to serving children and families. Memorial service 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 1 at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to charities serving children or AIDS research.

JOHN STEVEN TRAUSCH, 46 years old, passed away April 27, 1999, in Tucson, AZ. John went to school in Tucson, enjoyed family, friends, the racetrack and baseball even after his disabling injury. Born in Webster City, Iowa. Predeceased by mother, Betty McComber Wearda and father, Duane Trausch. Survived by sister, Anne Salisbury (Richard) and brothers, Randy Trausch (Cindy), Kevin Trausch (Donna) and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. A garden walk at Tucson Botanical Gardens Saturday, May 1 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a remembrance gathering at Thirsty's Neighborhood grill and bar (good friend, Jack Kenney).

TURNER, Neda Jones, homemaker, 103 years old. Neda was put to rest on April 27, 1999. She was born November 28, 1895 in Wyat, LA. She moved to Tucson, AZ in 1958 and resided here ever since. Neda is survived by 12 children, Cecil (Freddie Mae) Turner, Mae Dell Grisby, Douglas (Corine) Turner, Maybell Turner, Charlean (Henry) Moore, Allean Gary, Bernard Turner, OT (Katherine) Turner, Mortiel Smith, Rosie Lux, JB Turner and Dolneice Foster; 53 grandchildren, 166 great-grandchildren and 143 great-great-grandchildren. She is the wind between our wings. Service will be held on Monday, May 3, 1999 at 1:00 p.m. at Grace Temple Baptist Church, 1019 E. 31st. Viewing will be on Sunday, May 2, 1999 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, (Dodge Chapel), 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway).

ROBERT M. 'BOB' WAINWRIGHT, 74, died April 28, 1999. Survived by his wife, Francile J. Wainwright; daughters, Robbie Lynn (Gary D. Schott) Wainwright and Susan Kaye (Billy) Bundrick; grandchildren, Christopher D. Cocio, Jennifer and Deborah Bundrick; two sisters. Bob was an agent for Allstate Insurance for many years, resident of Tucson for 34 years. Friends may call Saturday, May 1, 1999 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. at EAST LAWN PALMS CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd., an aftercare provider. Burial to follow at East Lawn Palms cemetery.

WILCHFORT, Gerda, died peacefully at home, on Thursday, April 29th, 1999 at the age of 76. She is survived by her sons, Gary Marcus (Miriam), Peter Marcus (Cyd); longtime beloved companion, Joe Galioto; stepdaughter, Debbie Mayo and four grandchildren, Jennifer, Erica, Benjamin and Matthew. She was preceded in death by her mother, Erna Stern and husbands, Werner Marcus and Abe Wilchfort. Gerda was a Holocaust survivor and a passenger on the St. Louis. She and Werner moved their family from Philadelphia to Tucson in 1963. She frequently spoke to students about her experiences during the Holocaust. She was interviewed and recorded by the members of the Holocaust Museum and the Stephen Spielberg's survivors of the Shoah. In addition to being a 35 year member of Congregation Anshei Israel, she was a member of Brandeis and ORT and a former volunteer at St. Josephs Hospital. She was a professional seamstress, she enjoyed hiking, traveling and the arts. Services will be held Sunday, May 2nd at 11:00 a.m. at the Evergreen Memorial Chapel. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society and Tucson Medical Center Hospice.

BRENNAN, James D., 71, of Tucson, died Tuesday, April 27, 1999. He is survived by his sister, Norine Wilson; brother, Frank 'Bud' Brennan; companion, Robert Dominguez; and many friends. Mr. Brennan was a member of the T Squares Square Dancing Group. A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 2, 1999 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at HEATHER MORTUARY, 1040 N. Columbus Blvd. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 3, 1999 at Our Mother of Sorrows Church, 1800 S. Kolb Rd.

Stella Sherrill Coulter, 86, former assistant to the director of St. Luke's Home for Women, died Wednesday, April 28, 1999 at Villa Campana Care Home. A native of Catawba, NC, she retired to Tucson in the early 1970's following a career as an educator that included work as a reading improvement specialist for U.S. Army dependent schools in France, Germany and Japan and as an elementary school librarian in Porterdale, GA. Miss Coulter, who had also done public relations work for the U.S. Army, was an accomplished pianist and world traveler. She attended Mars Hill (NC) College and Meredith College in Raleigh, NC, and earned her BS degree at the University of Georgia in Athens and her MA degree at George Peabody College in Nashville, TN. Her parents were J.H.L. and Eula Sherrill Coulter. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Seth Coulter and Flake Coulter. She is survived by a sister, Jimmie Coulter Ellis, of Cadiz, KY; and nieces, nephews and many dear friends. A memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 1, in the chapel of Catalina United Methodist Church at 2700 E. Speedway. A family graveside service will be scheduled in Catawba, NC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Stella's memory to St. Luke's Home, 615 E. Adams, Tucson, AZ 85705.

CRAIN, Jesse L., 79, of Tucson, died April 29, 1999. Survived by wife, Mae; children, Danny (Susan) Crain, David (Valerie) Crain and Paulette (John) Langan, all of Tucson, Lynette Tucker of Mesa, AZ and Charles (Lori) Crain of Tucson; 16 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; sisters, Novaline Byrd, Estelle Newton and Daisy Hamilton, all of LA. Mr. Crain was retired from the Air Force, serving in WW II and Korean Wars and he was also a retired letter carrier. Funeral service 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 4 at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, an aftercare provider, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Interment with Military Honors follows at East Lawn Palms cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the mortuary.

GAMEZ, George, 73, of Tucson, passed away April 27, 1999. preceded in death by wife, Dolores Granado Gamez. Survived by daughters, Diana Gamez (Ben Molina), and Anna Marie G. (Joe) Cruz; sisters, Mercy G. Gonzales, and Maria Gamez Wissar in marriage godmother; four grandchildren, Manuel, A.J. Bermudez III, Carina Elisa Bermudez-Soto, Maria Alicia Gamez Cruz, and Joey Gamez Cruz. Also survived by three great-grandchildren and many family members. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 02, 1999 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY, (North Chapel), 204 S. Stone Ave., with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered on Monday, May 03, 1999, 10:00 a.m. at St. John's Church, 602 N. Ajo Way. Interment to follow at South Lawn cemetery. HERMIDA, Julia B., 75, died April 29, 1999. Mother of Tina M. Gallardo, Julia P. (Charles) Searle and A.J. Hermida (Cynthia E.); sister of Elena Blanco Corral (de Rodriguez), Maria Luisa Blanco-Corral and Julian Blanco-Corral; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive. She was a parishioner for over 20 years at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, May 2, at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway. Mass will be offered 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 3, at St. Francis De Sales, 1375 S. Camino Seco. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, May 2 at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL. LUNA, Concepcion, 78, of Tucson, died April 29, 1999. She is survived by sisters, Maria L. Navarro and Myra Pablo Lewis; brother, Chester Pablo and many nieces, nephews and other loving family members. Friends may call at the family home, 7761 S. Camino Benem on Sunday, May 2, 1999 from 10:30 until 2:00 p.m. Services and burial will be in Guadalupe, Arizona. Arrangements by HEATHER MORTUARY, an aftercare provider.

SNEDDEN, Mary Ellen, 72, died April 29, 1999 at her residence. A native of Hurley, New Mexico, she was born on May 6, 1926 to Jarvis and Inez (Sullivan) Hayden. She had lived in Tucson since 1954 with the exception of a five year residency in Summit, New Jersey. Mrs. Snedden was a member of the Tucson Country Club and a member of the Tucson Medical Center Auxiliary from 1967 to 1996, serving on the Main, Spanish Assistance, and Northeast Information Desks. Her husband, Thomas Alfred Snedden retired vice president for mining for ASARCO, died June 3, 1995. Surviving are daughter, Lois of Reno, NV, Bob of San Diego, CA, Patty Fisher of Phoenix, AZ and Barbara Espy of Canoga Park, CA. A memorial service is scheduled for Monday, May 3, 10:30 a.m. at the Tucson Medical Center Chapel with the Rev. Bill Killian presiding. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorials to Tucson Medical Center Foundation, 5301 E. Grant Rd., Tucson, AZ 85712.

WEGLARZ, Winifred Virginia, 84, died April 28, 1999. Mother of Stefan Weglarz. She was a member of Lutheran Church of the King. Donations in Winifred's memory may be made to American Cancer Society, 1636 N. Swan Rd., T/A 85712. Arrangements by BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

BROUWERS, Loretta McDonald, 38, died April 30, 1999. Wife of Jacques Brouwers; mother of Justin L. Brouwers; sister of Keith McDonald; niece of Peggy (Jack) Bailey; cousin of Jim, Danny, and Mark Bailey. Funeral Service 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 4, at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, with Rev. CZERWENKA, Josef A., 92, of Tucson, formerly of Germany, died Friday, April 30, 1999. Survived by six daughters, Maria of Tucson, AZ; Charlotte of Fullerton, CA; Ellie of Showlow, AZ; Loni of Ukiah, CA; Helga of Canada; Heidi of Hollywood, FL; one son, Kurt of Milwaukee, WI; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren. Mr. Czerwenka served in the German Military. He worked as a carpenter until retirement in Germany. Services will be private. Arrangements by SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY, an Aftercare Provider.

FINKELSTEIN, Adelene (Addy) N., 73, of Tucson, died Friday, April 23, 1999 after fighting a courageous battle with lung cancer. She devoted her life as a teacher and taught Special Education at Tucson High School, Southern Arizona Children's Home and The Arizona Boys Ranch. She received her BSA at Southern Methodist University, Dallas, TX and earned her Masters in Education at the University of Arizona. After retiring from teaching she moved to southern California, and recently returned to Tucson.
Addy was a member of Congregation Anshei Israel, Tucson. Her husband of 25 years, David S. Finkelstein died in 1976. She was a devoted member to her three children, a devoted grandmother to her four grandchildren and a devoted friend to all who knew her. She is survived by her son, Michael F. and his wife, Nancy, son, John P. and daughter, Michelle L. and her husband, Robert Crowl; and sister, Estelle Rosen and husband, George of Kansas City; grandchildren are Aubrey, Collin and Brianna Finkelstein and Bobby Crowl. Memorial services will be held at Congregation Anshei Israel, 5550 E. 5th Street, Tucson, on Tuesday, May 4th at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services were held in Kansas City. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Carondelet Hospice, Southern Arizona Children's Home or your favorite charity. Our sincere appreciation to all of the special people at Manor Care and Carondelet Hospice.

MURPHY, William Wayne, 41, died April 30, 1999. Father of Tiffany Dobbs; brother of Renette Murphy, Michelle (Steve) Frame, Kelly (Darin) Torrens, Michael Murphy, and Terry Murphy; nephew of one aunt and one uncle; stepbrother of Robin Basham and Pamela Brown. FREDERICK, Edward A. Sr., 68, of Tucson, died May 2, 1999. He is survived by his sons, Edward A. (Catherine) Frederick, Jr.of E. Haven, CT, Richard M. (Patricia) Frederick of FL, Steve G. Frederick of Tucson; daughter, Denise (Christian) Tallini of Tucson; seven grandchildren, one great-grandson; sister, Elsie Frederick of NY and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Frederick, a US Army veteran of the Korean conflict was predeceased by his wife, Gloria Mary Frederick on January 20, 1997. Memorial Service, Friday, 1:00 p.m. EVERGREEN MORTUARY, with Pastor Rick Mensing of Lutheran Church of the Ascension officiating. Interment with military honors Evergreen cemetery. GARIEPY, Crystal Lynne, 39, died May 2, 1999. Wife of Daniel Gariepy; mother of Adam M. Bystrom and Danielle S. Gariepy; daughter of Billie Covert of Green Valley, AZ; sister of Dee A. Covert of Bettendorf, Iowa, Michael J. Covert of Fridley, Minnesota and Ronald J. (Paula J.) Covert of LeClaire, Iowa; daughter-in-law of Eugene and Joan Gariepy of Tucson, AZ, sister-in-law of Michael and Marcella Gariepy of Tucson, AZ, Joseph and Mary Gariepy of Lubbock, TX, Andy and Debbie Gariepy of N.J. Eddie and Mara Gariepy of Tucson, AZ, Peter and Jane Gariepy of Tucson, AZ and John and Amy Gariepy of Tucson, AZ. Crystal was preceded in death by her father, Norman J. Covert. She gave so much of her life to caring for other people. Memorial service 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 5th at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

MASON, Robert C. Sr., 82, of Tucson, died May 2, 1999. Survived by wife, Beverly; sons, Robert, Jr. of Tucson, Richard (Pamela) of MI; three grandchildren, one great-grandchild; brother, John of Tucson. Mr. Mason was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Michelle and a brother, Charles. Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 6, 1999 at South Lawn Mortuary Chapel, an aftercare provider, 5401 S. Park Ave. Interment South Lawn cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary.

MUDD, Charles W., 79, of Tucson, passed away on April 30, 1999. Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Dale; two children, Charles William, Jr. and Denyce Marie Mudd; four sisters, Geneva, Marie, Imogene, Martha; and one brother, Carl. You're welcome to pay your respects to this World War II veteran and master craftsman on Thursday, May 6, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. at Living Faith Free Lutheran Church, 6000 S. Cardinal Ave. Arrangements by ARIZONA MORTUARY.

NEAD, Tamea D. 'Tammy' died on May 1, 1999 at TMC Hospice. Tammy was born and raised in Altoona, PA where she later met and married Norman Nead. They moved to Maryland where they raised their family and worked until they retired in 1988 due to Tammy's failing health and relocated to Arizona. While living here Tammy was a member of the 22nd St. Baptist Church. She was a great wife and best friend for 49 1/2 wonderful years and a terrific mother. She will be terribly missed by all that knew and loved her. Tammy is survived by her husband, Norman Nead, Sr.; children, Dorothy McRae, Norman, Jr. and Phyllis Cantin; six grandchildren and one great-grandson. A service will take place in Tammy's memory at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 7th at the 22nd St. Baptist Church, 6620 E. 22nd St. Arrangements by family owned ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel.
