Stephen Compton Crook
(June 10, 1947 – June 12, 1998)
Beloved father, son and brother
Not a day goes by that we don't miss his knowledge, his advice and his humor. Steve was taken from us far too soon, a victim of pulmonary fibrosis at the age of 51.
He was a native of Maryland and after serving with the Army in Germany, began his career in radio/television in Baltimore. His work took him to many states, but eventually he spent a decade in Tucson, first as chief engineer for Clear Channel's KTTU-TV and later as assistant chief engineer for the current KTTU/KMSB televisions stations. When he died, he was assistant chief engineer for WAVY-TV and WBBT-TV in Portsmouth, Virginia.
Steve's son, mother, two sisters, stepchildren and grand-stepchildren all miss him greatly and remember him especially on this anniversary of his death.
