S. DUREE BOJORQUEZ, born on February 17, 1958 and went home to her Granny in Heaven on Sunday, June 27, 1999 just as the sun was rising. She fought a long, hard and extremely brave battle with cancer for almost four years. She was a lifelong resident of Arizona and made her home in Tucson. She was a loving wife to Joseph; mother to Ashley and Bryan; daughter of Sharon Gilbertson (Bill) and Ed Snell (Loretta); daughter-in-law to Lucy Bojorquez; sister of Lavee Golden (Jerry), Cheree Gunter (Brad), Julie Tritten, John Bojorquez and Rick Bojorquez (Tina). She is also survived by many other family and friends who will love and miss her very much. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, July 2nd at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5801 E. ANITA M. DAVIS, 67, a 53 year resident of Tucson passed away on June 27, 1999 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kristina Mae, and her father, Morris Vos. She is survived by her mother, Mae Vos Koch of Tucson; twin sister, Marlene (John) Barron of Tucson; son, Kim (Debra) Davis of Hilton Head, SC; daughter, Darby (Brad) Simonis of Tucson; nephew, Craig (Jeanelin) Barron of Tucson; niece, Lori (Joel) Lindahl of Illinois; grandchildren, Andrew, Lauren, Skyler and Sierra; and nephews, John and Tanner.
Born May 6, 1932, St. Joseph's Hospital in Far Rockaway, New York. Anita Vos and her family moved to Tucson in 1946. Anita graduated from Tucson High School in 1949 and attended the University of Arizona. She graduated from the U of A in 1954 with a B.S./B.A. She met Byron (Whitey) Davis in 1951 and they were married
in 1954. As a homemaker and mother, she bore, nurtured, and raised three children (Kim, Darby, and Kristina).
All of Anita's children were competitive swimmers and Anita spent literally thousands of hours car pooling and working at all local, regional, and national meets. In 1977, the Pima County Parks and Recreation Department awarded Anita with their outstanding service award for service and commitment to the swimming youth of Tucson.
As her children grew, Anita blossomed into a loving and caring grandmother and was always there whenever needed. Anita and her twin sister, Marlene, volunteered at St. Joseph's Hospital for 11 years. As they did throughout their lives, they enjoyed confusing patients and doctors with their identical appearances!
Anita goes now in peace and embraces her daughter, Kristina Mae, as both stand with our Lord. A graveside service will be held 3:45 p.m., July 2, 1999 at East Lawn Palms cemetery, 5801 E. Grant Rd., Tucson, AZ.

EUGENE WALTER GWOZDZ - Beloved husband of Lorraine for 45 years. Also survived by children: Karen (Irwin) Robinson and Kathy (Les) Orchekowsky all of Sierra Vista, Tina (Steve) Danloe, Joe Gwozdz and Patti (Charlie) Gwozdz. Gene was born March 10, 1930 in Chicago, IL. He graduated from Lane Technical High School and attended community college. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps 1951-53. He worked in Chicago for Universal Oil Company as a draftsman for ten years. Then he moved his family to Tucson in 1965 and founded Pima Ace Hardware, Inc., an ongoing family operated business.
Gene's chief interests in recent years included golf, travel, trips to Pinetop, an active interest in the Rincon Optimist Club and following the sports and activities of his ten grandchildren.

MUNOZ, Eva Buttner, 89, a lifetime resident of Arizona, passed away June 25, 1999. Born March 18, 1910 to Harvey and Gertrudis Robles Buttner in Douglas. She is preceded in death by her husband Tiburcio; son, Agustin. She is survived by sons, Tiburcio III (Angie) and Carlos (Susan) Munoz; daughters, Julia (Carl) Van Zelf and Beatricz (Brian) Leck; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren. Also preceded in death by sisters, Ida Provencio and Luisa Bowden; and survived by her brothers, Oscar and Leo Buttner; and sister, Rosa B. Juarez; also numerous nephews, nieces and other relatives.
Rosary will be on Tuesday, June 29, 1999 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Bernards Church in Pirtleville. The funeral mass will be on Wednesday, June 30, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. also at St. Bernard Church.
PRATHER, Clarence, 81, of Green Valley, died after a short illness, June 24, 1999 in Tucson, Arizona. Clarence was born October 2, 1917 in Olathe, Kansas. He came to Tucson in 1935, where he met his wife, Elsie Christianson of Paynesville, Minnesota. They were married
in Tucson November 10, 1940. A year later he joined the Navy and served as Chief Petty Officer, Storekeeper in Charge of the Commissary Office Submarine Fleet at Pearl Harbor. He received the Navy Commendation Medal for his meritorious conduct. After the war he and Elsie moved to Phoenix where they raised four children, Richard, Caren, Gerald (Gus) and Claire. Clarence worked as a salesman in the steel business for a number of years. He went to work as a salesman for Trus Joist Corporation (now TJ International) in 1964. Later, he managed the Trus Joist plants in Phoenix, AZ and Chino, CA from 1965 until his retirement in 1985. His dedication to these plants and their employees contributed greatly to the success of the Trus Joist Corporation. Since retirement he and Elsie have enjoyed bird watching and traveling in Arizona. They moved to Green Valley in 1991 to be closer to the grandchildren and Clarence's favorite birding spots. They were members of Green Valley's Country Club North Homeowners Association in which Clarence served over the years as President, Parliamentarian and Chairman of the Maintenance Committee.
He is survived by his loving wife, Elsie; son, Richard (Kathy) and grandchildren, Neil and Glen of Salem, Oregon; daughter, Caren of Tucson; son, Gus (Nancy) and grandchildren, Lucas and Tyson of Las Vegas, Nevada; daughter, Claire (Earl Mendenhall III) and grandchildren, Connor and Emma of Tucson; and brother, Vernon (Margie) of Granby, Missouri. His family and friends will miss him greatly.
Friends are invited to an open house in celebration of Clarence's life at 4:00 p.m. July 3, 1999 at their home in Green Valley. Remembrances may be made to the Tucson Audubon Society, Arizona Sonora Desert Museum or the Nature Conservancy, Arizona Chapter.
SAUTTER, Otto, 91, was born in Schnaitheim, Germany on November 30, 1907. He passed away on June 28, 1999. He came to America in 1928 and settled in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He moved to Tucson, Arizona in 1954. He is preceded in death by his wife, Hilda (Mast) from Unterreichenbach, Germany. He is survived by a son, Herbert (Roberta); two daughters, Eleanor (Robert) Odell and Arlene (Charles) Schweigert; eight grandchildren, Linda Achenbach, Michael Sautter, Jamie Hernandez, Theresa Hachworth, Peggy Smoot, Sharon Counas, Steven Brauns, Mark Schweigert; four great grandchildren, Erin Achenbach, Cheyanne Smoot, Breanna and Anthony Hackworth; nieces, Gertrude Fischer and Marianne Langenswee of Germany and Shiela Monahan of California. A private visitation will be held for the family at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY, an aftercare provider.
SHEETS, Warren J., 75, of Interlochen, a winter resident of Tucson, AZ, and formerly of Midland, MI. and Pottstown, PA., died Friday, June 25, 1999, while on vacation in Klamath Falls, OR.
He was born January 11, 1924 in Avilla, IN, and graduated from Manchester College in North Manchester, IN. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served in the European Theater during World War II.
He retired from Dow Chemical Co. in Midland, MI. While in Midland, he served on the City Council and was mayor pro tem, and also served on the Tri-County Airport Commission. He also was a member of the Scottish Rite, Valley of Bay City and Midland Area Shrine Club.
Warren was owner and president of French Creek Products in Royersford, PA. He was a member and former president of the Pottstown, PA Rotary Club and received the Paul Harris Award. He also was a member of the Tri-County Chamber of Commerce in Pottstown and was past president of the Building Industries Exchange, also in Pottstown.
A member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Tucson, AZ, he also attended The Presbyterian Church in Traverse City.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth M. Sheets of Interlochen; five children, Warren James (Indra) Sheets of Wyncote, PA, Stephen R. Sheets of Grand Haven, MI; twin daughters, Edyth E. (James R.) Wilson of Mount Horeb, WI and Gloria J. (David D.) Fritz of Pottstown, and Margaret J. (Michael L.) Yeager of Elysburg, PA; five grandchildren and one sister, Rosemary Gerig of Auburn, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Donald Sheets and Dwight Sheets.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at The Presbyterian Church in Traverse City. The Rev. Walter Fitton will officiate.

ZINN, Marguerite C. (nee Hill), age 60 years, of Tucson, AZ. Wife of Robert T. Zinn and mother of Theresa (Jeffrey), Robert J. (Gail), Kevin (Donna), Brian and Justin, passed away at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 29, 1999. She is survived by her sisters, Ruth Scheja (Palm Coast, FL), Alice Madden (Brick, N.J.), Kathleen Bottazzi (Brick, N.J.), and by four grandchildren. Mrs. Zinn was originally from Newark, N.J. and a graduate of St. Vincent's Academy. She enlisted and served two years in the United States Air Force. WILLIAM W. ALLEY, SR. - Joined our Lord and Savior on June 29, 1999 at the age of 70, following a lengthy illness. He was born on October 18, 1928 in St. Joseph, MO; the son of Hiram V. and Minnie L. Alley. He is survived by wife Annette, with whom he had a wonderful 29 1/2 years. BURGER, Bruce S. 'Bruno' born in New York City, on February 16, 1949. On June 28 he left his blessing with us after a courageous battle with cancer.
