PETRE, Donald C., 68, (Ret. Capt. US Army), born February 06, 1931, Dresden, Ohio. preceded in death by parents, Betty and Ralph Petre; granddaughter, Karly Petre. Died in Tucson, Arizona July 18, 1999. Beloved husband to Karen; father of Donald Petre, Jr. (Lilee) of Michigan, Lauren Petre, Douglas Petre (Debbie) and Nancy Petre, all of Florida; grandfather of Lauren, Rachael, Andrew, Daniel and Whitney; brother of William Bradford (Marty); and sister, Susan Corbett, both of Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Don was a retired pilot who served his country in the Army and Navy. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War where he served Two Tours of Duty and was stationed overseas in various places. Don was also a Green Beret and was a recipient of numerous military medals and distinguished awards. He was a member of the VFW #428, the Shriners and the Masons.
He will be remembered for his love of gardening (especially roses), bowling, golf and his helpful nature. Don will be greatly missed by all those who loved him and were fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to know him.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer that donations be made to the Women's Auxiliary Shriners Hospital, Box 232, St. Cloud, MN 56302.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 23, 1999, 7:00 p.m. at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Chapel #1.

SCHLUETER, James Albert, 61, died July 18, 1999. Arrangements by BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

SEANEY, Samuel Andrew, born on March 23, 1999, died on Monday, July 19, 1999. He was the beloved son of James and Vanessa Seaney, and brother of Amanda Seaney. He was grandson to maternal grandparents, Martha and Carlos Fimbres and paternal grandparents, Hendrik and Joan Seaney. Many aunts, uncles, and cousins loved Sam. Sam only had a short time on this earth, but he touched all of our hearts forever. His family will dearly miss him. They look forward to being reunited with their little angel in heaven. A visitation will be held at ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Avenue on Thursday, July 22, 1999 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Mass will be held on Friday, July 23, 1999 at St. Odilia's Church, 7570 N. Paseo Del Norte at 9:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Holy Hope cemetery, 3555 N. Oracle. Donations will be accepted in Sam's name at Angel Nursery of Casa de los Ninos, 1138 N. 5th Avenue.

SIMONS, Geraldine G. 'Geri' 65, died July 18, 1999. Mother of Sheryl Gregory and Keith Simons; grandmother of Jason, Laura, Jasmine, Miranda and Louis. Memorial service 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 23, Fountain of Life Lutheran Church, 710 S. Kolb Rd. with Pastor Kevin Kritzer officiating. Arrangements by BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

SNYDER, Willis G., 87, a resident of Tucson, died Tuesday, July 20, 1999. Survived by his beloved wife of sixty years, Virginia; children, Douglas, Dianne (Sidney) Felker, Delores (Winston) Maddox all of Tucson; grandchildren, Tracey (John) Cummins, Ryan (Jill) Felker, Brooke and Samuel Felker, Shelbie (Brett) Hurtianne, Ashley and Hayley Maddox; great-grandchildren, Haley Rose and Sabrina Felker, Tyler Cummins. Willis was born and raised in the farmlands around Spencerville, Ohio. During WW II, Willis served as a supervisor in a tank manufacturing plant in Lima, OH. Willis and Virginia owned and operated Gospel Supplies Christian Bookstore from 1960 and it remains in the family today. Willis was a devoted Christian and churchman, serving as a Christ-like example, not only for his family but for all who knew him. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Friday, with funeral service beginning at 3:00 p.m. in EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd., with Rev. Ross Hayslip officiating. Interment follows at East Lawn Palms cemetery.

STUBBLEFIELD, Raymond E., 78, of Tucson, died July 18, 1999. Born April 27, 1921 in Wanette, OK. Retired from Magma Copper Company in 1983. Survived by wife, Rosell Stubblefield; sons, Mike Stubblefield of Catalina, AZ, Larry Stubblefield of Russellville, AR; daughters, Mary Kerfoot of Tucson, AZ, Donna Smith of Truth or Consequences, NM; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren. Service Friday, 3:00 p.m., EVERGREEN MORTUARY. Friends may call one hour prior to service. Arrangements by EVERGREEN MORTUARY & cemetery, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile.

WILLIAM Q. WORTHY, JR., age 54, died Saturday, July 17, 1999 in Tucson, Arizona. Born November 9, 1944 in Phoenix, AZ. Survived by his wife, Sandra K. Worthy of Marana; children: son, William Q. Worthy III of Phoenix, AZ; daughters, Tammy E. Ogle of Phoenix, AZ, Lierin M. Worthy, Toni L. Worthy, Kasey M. Worthy of Marana, Arizona; parents, Francis Worthy and William Q. Worthy, Sr. of Tucson; brothers, Terry W. Worthy and Eugene G. Worthy of Tucson; sister, Jackie A. Boucos of Kansas; and nine grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 22, 1999, 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at ARIZONA MORTUARY CHAPEL, 7 E. University Blvd., with funeral service being held Friday, July 23, 1999 at 11:00 a.m. at ARIZONA MORTUARY UNIVERSITY CHAPEL, an aftercare provider.

BROWN, Alice Faye, 48, of Tucson, was born November 14, 1950 in Hope, Arkansas. She was employed by University Medical Center as a Financial Advisor for eight years. She passed away on July 17, 1999. She is survived by her husband, Floyd M.A. Brown, a local public accountant; five sisters, Robert Harris, Joyce (Oralee) Clayton, Maye Thomas, Betty (Ernest) Bradford, Mary Davis and one brother, Marshall (Erma) Gantt. A visitation will be held Friday, July 23, 1999 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY, 5401 S. Park Ave. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 24, 1999 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Evangelistic Center. Interment to follow at South Lawn cemetery. Arrangements made by SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY, an aftercare provider.

CAIN, George T., 63 years old, died Sunday, July 18, 1999 in Tucson. Born on February 22, 1936 in Helena, Montana. Survived by his wife, Barbara J. Cain of Tucson; son, Kenny L. (Lynn) Cain of Tucson; two brothers and two sisters; three grandchildren including Michael; five great-grandchildren including Johnny and Billy. Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 23, 1999 at WOLFREY PEACE CHAPEL, 5225 E. Speedway.

DOMINGUEZ, Alejo H., 74, died July 21, 1999. Devoted husband, loving father, doting grandfather and caring brother. Survived by his wife, Socorro Dominguez; children, Carmen (Humberto) Campuzano, Angel (Fernando) Cubillas, Tonie Estavillo, Sagrario Dominguez, Luis Alonso Dominguez, Ivan Celaya (Bertha); nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brothers, Nicolas and Isabel Dominguez; and sister, Francisca Dominguez. Visitation will be Thursday, July 22, 1999 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at the EAST LAWN PALMS CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd., where funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 23, 1999.

HARTUNG, Kathryn 'Kim' Grace Richey, was born March 31, 1918 in Warsaw, Illinois on the Mississippi River. She attended the U of A until marring Phil Hartung, Sr. Their marriage brought one son, Philip Hartung, Jr. and one daughter, Suzie Hartung. She was a wonderful mother!
Kim raised with loving care a beautiful granddaughter, Jacqi Nicholson and in her later years Jacqi was her greatest joy and reason to live. Her kind heart reached out to many as a loving friend and family member. Her brother, Eugene and sister-in-law, Chris were very close to her heart of which she will always be eternally grateful. Kim was also known as 'grandmother' to Matthew, April, Brad, and her extended family.
Kim had a passion for politics and volunteered for the Democratic Party, throughout her whole life. Infact the last week of her life she was busy volunteering at the Democratic Headquarters, she was a District 13 Representative.
Kim was an advocate for labor unions, always interested in protecting the rights of workers. Kim worked for the Southern Pacific Fruit Express until her retirement in 1980. She was chief/agent clerk responsible for the PFE Office.
Kathryn fought cancer for five years and never complained. She passed away Tuesday, July 20, 1999.
Viewing service will be held Saturday, July 24, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. Immediately following will be the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at South Lawn Mortuary and cemetery, 5401 S. Park Ave. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Cancer Center for Patients/TMC Foundation, 5301 E. Grant Rd., Tucson, AZ 85712.

MURPHEY, Robert C., 69, died Monday, July 19, 1999 after a long illness. Bob was born in Tucson and lived here all his life. He was the oldest son of pioneer developers John and Helen Murphey. Bob attended Tucson High School and the University of Arizona. He was a volunteer member of the Mt. Lemmon Fire Department and the Mt. Lemmon Water Department for many years. Exposed to wonderful architecture all his life it was only natural that he turned his artistic talents into the design and construction of many beautiful homes in the Catalina Foothills area. Larger projects like Palomino Plaza also attest to his eye for detail. An avid naturalist, Bob was happiest outdoors roaming the desert and the forests on Mt. Lemmon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Helen Murphey; his brother, John Michael Murphey; his oldest son, John Michael Murphey II, and his first wife and mother of his children, Patricia Murphey McCarty. He is survived by three children, Christine Murphey Brookey (David), Robert C. Murphey, Jr. (Anna), Elena Murphey Richter (David); and eight grandchildren, Angela Hurtado, Micah, Allegra and Noah Brookey, Kaela Murphey, Megan, Camille and Danielle Richter. He is also survived by his sister, Patricia Murphey Groom; several nieces and nephews and his wife, Wanda. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, please take a moment to appreciate the beauty of our desert and mountains.

SFRAGA, Josephine A., passed away Saturday, July 17, 1999. She is survived by son, Anthony; granddaughter, Lisa; grandson, Michael; great-grandchildren, Christina and Austin. Services will be held 9:00 a.m., Saturday, July 24, 1999, at Sacred Heart Church.

CLARK, Deborah, 44, of Tucson, died Thursday, July 22, 1999. She is survived by her husband, Ronald; sons, Christopher and Erie; mother, Margaret Henrich of Memphis, TN: sisters, Kathleen Plauche of Waco, TX, and Karen Jetton of Germantown, TN; four nieces, one nephew, one grandnephew, and one grandniece. She graduated Magma Cum Laude from S.M.U., Master of Education from North Texas State, pursuing a Doctor of Education Degree at Arizona State University. Former principal of Cross Middle School, member of National Assoc. of Secondary School Principals, and member of Community Church of the Foothills. Friends may call at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave. at Magee, Saturday, July 24, 1999 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 25, 1999 at 3:00 p.m. at ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Avalon Chapel. Burial will follow in Memphis, TN. Donations may be made in memory of Deborah to TMC Hospice, 5301 E. Grant Rd., Tucson, 85713.

ALMA VENE STEWART GARRETT
Vene Garrett passed away peacefully on Monday, July 19, 1999 in Mesa, Arizona. She was loved by all who knew her for her gentle kindness, her compassion, and her generosity. She was preceded in death by her husband, Superior Court Judge Lee Garrett, and is survived by her children, Roger Garrett (Kathy) of Phoenix, Glenda Garrett Wilkes (James) of Tucson, Greg Garrett (Terri Dalton) of Tucson; her sister, Jo Laflen of Mesa, Arizona; her brother, Jess Stewart of Tucson; and her loving companion, Harold Dunning of Mesa. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Vene was born in Buffalo, Oklahoma on July 14, 1912. She was the oldest of five children and her parents were school teachers, and later chiropractors. She moved to Prescott, Arizona in 1921. She graduated from Prescott High School and attended Alva State Teacher's College in Oklahoma. She was cashiering at Jones Drug Store on Congress in 1938 when she met a young lawyer named Lee Garrett. They were married in 1940 and made Tucson their home until Judge Garrett's retirement in 1977 when they moved to Leisure World in Mesa.
Vene was active in the First Christian Church and other community organizations during her many years in Tucson. In Mesa, she was active in the Beta Zeta Chapter of PEO. Her family is grateful for her long life and her great example. She was adventurous, witty, and interested in everything and everyone until the very end of her life. Her family is grateful for the abundance of her love and is bereft at her passing.
A memorial service will be held at the Melcher Chapel, 6625 E. Apache Trail in Mesa, at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 26, 1999.

JERRY T. LUKETICH, 68, a resident of Tucson, died Sunday, July 18, 1999. Survived by wife, Jane; son, Andrew Alan (Shaelyn) Luketich of Salem, OR; daughter, Gail Liane (Brian) Hoch of Tucson; grandchildren, Courtney, Anthony and Megan Luketich, Michael and Brandon Hoch; brothers, Pete, Paul, John, Jim and Joseph; sisters, Kate and Rose. preceded in death by sisters, Ann and Caroline; and parents, Matthew and Mary. Memorial service 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 27, 1999 at Tanque Verde Lutheran Church, 8625 E. Tanque Verde Rd. Remembrances may be made to Carondelet St. Mary's Hospice. Arrangements by EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY.
