Patricia Anne Meehan, born April 14, 1953, died unexpectedly in her sleep August 1, 1999. She is survived by her husband Mike and by her daughter Caroline Shive. Pat was a 'high energy' gal who knew what she wanted out of life, and how to accomplish it. She made her way out of the ghettos of Cleveland, became a highly respected medical research administrator at the Cleveland Clinic, spent several years in education administration at the Cleveland State University, and then became a successful legal case manager, paralegal and legal administrator; first in Iowa and then in Arizona. Pat was an intuitive problem solver, a tenacious seeker of the truth, and as a writer mastered what Benjamin Franklin taught - it is easy to write long letters, it is better to write clearly and shortly. Pat was quick to adapt modern technology to her profession. Pat was a loyal friend, a witty lady with a vibrant sense of humor, and open and honest with all she met. In recent years she had developed an interest in art, particularly oil pictures. It was a talent that sadly she will not prefect. Pat loved the Sabino Canyon, and walked many miles there with close friends.
