GILMER, Mary Templin, died Monday, October 11, 1999. Mary taught orchestra in Tucson for 24 years. She was a violinist in several orchestras.
Mary graduated from Arcadia High School in Scottsdale, the University of Arizona and the University of Phoenix.
She is survived by her mother, Ruth Templin of Mesa, AZ; her sister, Beth Hoffman of Santa Fe, NM; her nieces, Dawn Hoffman of San Rafael, CA and Heather Hoffman of Washington, D.C., an aunt and three cousins.
Her memorial services will be Saturday, October 16th at 1:00 p.m. at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 750 W. Chapala (Ina Rd. to Paseo del Norte).

McCAULEY, Mary F., age 63, born on 30 March 1936 in Findley, Ohio to Frank and Bertha Kreft. On 18 August 1956 Mary went to Whiteford Center, Michigan to marry Gerald 'Jerry' who survives with sons Phillip of Albuquerque, NM and Kyil of Morenci, AZ. Also surviving are grandson, Jared and granddaughter, Sarah, both of Morenci, AZ; sister, Anna Mae of Atlantic Highlands, NJ and brother, Lawrence 'Larry' of Laguna Hills, CA. Mary traveled with her husband to Turkey, Germany and throughout the United States. When she could not travel, she read. She was a child counselor in Germany, a newspaper editor and publisher in Hope, IN and supervisor for the Disabled American Veterans thrift store in Tucson. Surviving also are Mary S. McCauley of Morenci, AZ and Becky McCauley of Tucson, also with her adopted daughter, son, and grandson, Michael, Debbie and Ben Morin of Tucson. Before marriage she attended Eastern Michigan University. A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 15, 1999 at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY, 5401 S. LORETTA V. MESQUITA, 66, of Tucson, died Monday, October 11, 1999. ADAN S. QUIROGA, 74, a miner for ASARCO, passed away Monday, October 11, 1999 in Tucson, Arizona. Mr. Quiroga lived in Arizona all his life.
He is survived by his former wife, Mary Helen; sons, Conrado, Gerardo (Christina), Orlando (Petra), Fernando, Rolando (Teri) and Leonardo Quiroga; daughter, Irma (Daniel) Ortiz; brother, Ramon (Elena); and sister, Rachel (Jesus) Heredia; also seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was born March 21, 1925 in Patagonia, Arizona, the son of Ramon and Francisca (Sanchez) Quiroga. He served in the Army during World War II having attained the rank of PFC. He enlisted on July 7, 1943 at Ft McArthur, CA, and was discharged on May 28, 1946 at Ft. Bliss, Texas.
Visitation will be at MARTINEZ FUNERAL CHAPELS, 2580 S. 6th Ave., on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held Friday at 12:00 noon at Holy Hope cemetery. RUIZ, Consuelo Martinez, 76, of Tucson, AZ, passed away October 13, 1999. SANFORD, Stirling Russell, 66, died October 10, 1999 in his home in Tucson. He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Van Sanford; his mother, Elizabeth Treat LaZear; and his stepmother, Loretta V. Sanford. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Marcia; his sons, Richard, Robert and Russell; daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Barry Lynch and grandchildren, Shane and Vanessa Sanford, and Bryant and Riley Lynch.
Stirling was born in Albuquerque, NM but moved to his beloved Tucson as a baby. He graduated from Tucson High School and then served four years in the Navy. He retired after 30 years of service at Hughes Aircraft where he was proud to have worked on the Surveyor moon project.
Stirling was the great-grandson of Tucson pioneer Sam Hughes. His heritage inspired in him a love for Arizona history. He was also a lifelong Ham Radio operator and avid computer buff.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 Saturday, October 16 at the ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway).

EVA JEAN SEIDORF (WYLIE) passed away on September 28, 1999 in Sun City, Arizona. Born July 22, 1923 to Robert and Marion Wylie in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents and her twin brother, Robert D. Wylie. She devoted her life to helping others as a nurse, a girl scout leader and a Sunday School teacher. Eva Jean was a 57 year member of P.E.O. and a charter member of Chapter BW in Cleveland, Ohio. She enjoyed the theater and the Cleveland Symphony Orchestra. Eva Jean will be remembered for her independent spirit and her love for God and family. Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Christian; daughters, Jean Boyd-Wylie, Jane Kriegshauser (Paul), Ruth Parker (David) and '#4 daughter' Katrina Miller (Mike); grandchildren, Justin (Annette), Brand, Chris, Mark, Joshua, Brian, James; great-grandchildren, Jordan and Justin Daniel.

FOSS, Lewis C. - Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Lewis C. Foss, 80 years old, born on September 5, 1919 in Medina, New York, passed away peacefully on October 11, 1999, surrounded by his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his son, Richard Foss and grandson, Danny Foss. Grandpa came to Tucson in 1954 from Lockport, New York. He worked for San Xavier Rock & Material until his retirement. Grandpa loved his family and he loved going camping, hunting and fishing with all of us. MARION E. (RED) FOX, formerly of Englewood, Ohio, passed away October 12, 1999. He was born in Xenia, Ohio on March 22, 1931. He was a decorated Korean War veteran and a member of the 'CHOSIN FEW', VFW, American Legion, DAV & 32nd Infantry Reg. Assoc. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Barbara; daughters, Linda (Kevin) Snyder and Lois Fox; grandchildren, Jessica, Adam and Taylor. He will be missed terribly. JACKSON, Guerdon E., 72, passed away October 11, 1999. A Tucson resident for 42 years, he is survived by his wife, Maxine; sister, Charlotte Perry; and brother, Philip Jackson.
An honors graduate of the Colorado School of Mines and the University of Arizona, he had a distinguished international career, including Chief Mining Engineer for AMOCO Minerals. Locally, he acquired the Helvetia-Rosemont deposit for Banner Mining Co.

MILLER, Donna Lee, born to Walter and Ann Polston in Chicago, Ill. on July 4, 1944, went to the Mountain Top to be with our Lord on October 12, 1999.
Survived by her loving children, LeayAnne Miller (Clay Hilden), Denny, Scott, and Eric Miller; her brothers, James (Rhonda) Polston and Robert (Clarice) Polston; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Donna came to Tucson in 1947 and was a graduate of Rincon High School in 1962. She entered the business field in accounting and office management. In the most recent years, she was a foster mom for the Arizona Foster Care Program. She provided loving care for many children. She loved the outdoors, gardening and especially fishing in the White Mountains.
A special thank you to the gracious staff of St. Josephs Hospital and Manor Care Health Services, where she was employed as office manager, for the excellent care they provided her in her final days.
