year from Redding.
He was a property developer, a member of the Canyon Community Church
in Lakehead, a medic for the builders of Shasta, Boulder, and
O'Shaughnessy dams, and a safety engineer at the former Alameda Naval
Air Station during World War II.
Survivors include wife Marle; son David of Indianapolis; daughter Lee
Agee of Yuba City; brothers Jim and Claude, both of Montana, and

Bluff will be at 2 p.m. March 10 at St. Michael's Episcopal Church in
Anderson.
The Rev. Jim Wilson of the church will officiate.
Mr. Winberg died Monday, Feb. 5, 2001, at St. Elizabeth Community
Hospital in Red Bluff following a long illness.
Born April 15, 1942, in Redding, he moved to Tehama County in 1998.
He was a sheet metal worker for Union Local No. 162.
Survivors include son Peter of Eugene, Ore.; daughters Kathleen
Peregoy of Red Bluff and Deborah of Chicago; brother Lewis of Redding;
sisters Sandra Crocker of Chicago and Elizabeth Lackey of Leola, Pa.;
father Gus of Mount Joy, Pa.; and six grandchildren.
Memorial contributions can be made to St. Elizabeth Community
Hospital, 2550 Sister Mary Columba Drive, Red Bluff, CA 96080.
Arrangements are being handled by Hoyt-Cole Chapel of the Flowers in Red Bluff.
Austin Miller
DUNSMUIR — Austin W. Miller, 74, of Dunsmuir died Sunday, Feb. 4,
2001, at SunBridge Care Center For Redding.
Private services will be conducted.
Born Aug. 1, 1926, in Milaca, Minn., he moved to Siskiyou County in
1941 from his birthplace. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II
and a retired television repair technician.
Survivors include wife Ruth; son Michael Miller of Weed; daughter
Sharon Chamber of Chico; two grandchildren; and two
great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Mount Shasta Memorial Chapel in Mount Shasta.
Gary West
REDDING — Gary Duane West, 63, of Redding died Wednesday, Jan. 31,
2001, at Mercy Medical Center in Redding.
No services will be conducted.
Born June 9, 1937, in Fresno, he settled in Shasta County in 1979
after military service in various places. He was a U.S. Navy veteran
and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1932 in Red Bluff.
Survivors include son Jack of Valdez, Alaska; daughter Cindy Kruse of
Red Bluff; sister Yvonne Jordan of Wise River, Mont.; four
grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
