He was a U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force veteran of both the Korean War and the Vietnam War, and he worked in civil service at International Paper Co. REDDING — Mass of Christian burial services for Lorraine Frances Galles, 70, of Redding will be at 12:15 p.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Redding. The Rev. Michael Canny of the church will officiate. Visitation will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Vigil will be at noon Thursday at the church. Mrs. Galles died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2001, at her residence. Born Nov. 11, 1930, in Whitefish Bay, Wis., she moved to Shasta County in 1979 from Milwaukee. She was an operations officer for Midland Bank in Milwaukee and a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Redding. Survivors include husband James; sons James of Redding and Thomas of Denver; daughters Laura Bonk and Sally Ward, both of Redding, Patricia Hill of Denver, and Barbara Perrault of Sacramento; sisters Mary Porupcan, Ruth Osowski, and Betty Wubker, all of Milwaukee; and three grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Redding.

John Ginocchio
MOUNT SHASTA — Mass of Christian burial services for John Ginocchio, 81, of Mount Shasta will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Mount Shasta. The Rev. Aidan O'Reilly of the church will officiate. The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be at Mt. Shasta Memorial Park in Mount Shasta. Mr. Ginocchio died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2001, at Mercy Medical Center in Mount Shasta. Born July 17, 1919, in Sisson (now Mount Shasta), he was a lifetime resident of Siskiyou County. He was a farmer, and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Aleutians and the Philippines. Survivors include son Tony of Mount Shasta; daughters Pamela Cabitto of McCloud and Charlotte Ableman of Mount Shasta; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions can be made to Mercy Hospice, P.O. Box 239, Mount Shasta, CA 96067. Arrangements are being handled by Mount Shasta Memorial Chapel in Mount Shasta.

LOS MOLINOS — Graveside services for Lyal Elitta Kisling Northey, 87, of Los Molinos will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Los Molinos Cemetery. The Rev. John Bohrer will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Chapel of the Flowers in Red Bluff. Mrs. Northey died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2001, at St. Elizabeth Community Hospital in Red Bluff. Born Sept. 1, 1913, in Greeley County, Neb., she moved to Tehama County in 1972 from Shasta County. She was a real estate agent and a member of the Shasta County Sheriff's Possettes. Survivors include sons Durward Gibb of Redding, Revis Gibb of Tennessee and Arley Kisling of Lakeport; daughter Coletitta Brown of Grass Valley; sister Twilah Johansen of St. Louis; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Hoyt-Cole Chapel of the Flowers in Red Bluff.

ERICKSON — Irene Katherine Erickson, 88, of Redding died Friday at Beverly Healthcare in Redding. Arrangements are pending at Lawncrest Chapel in Redding.

GAREY — Jeri Lynn Garey, 58, of Redding died Friday at her residence. Arrangements are pending at Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Redding.
