Mrs. Pierdomenico is survived by her husband of 47 years, Rocco Pierdomenico of Vista; brothers and sisters-in-law Albert and Angela Colucci and Samy and Elena Colucci, all of Vista; and 11 nephews and nieces.
A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, at St. Francis Catholic Church of Vista. Burial will take place in Rome.

Frances Selers, 71
LAKE SAN MARCOS - Frances M. Selers, 71, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2000, at her home.
Born May 12, 1928, in Triesta, Italy, she lived at Lake San Marcos for nine years. She was vice president of First National Bank of Park Ridge. She was a member and Sunday school teacher at Meadowlark Community Church, a member of Fairways Board of Directors and a patron of California Center for the Arts, Escondido.
Mrs. Selers was preceded in death by her husband, William Selers, in 1989. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William and MaryAnn Selers of Hudson, Ohio; daughters and son-in-law Karen and John Brown of Escondido and Elaine Williams of Crystal Lake, Ill.; brother Robert Tomsic of Cleveland; one granddaughter; and numerous nephews and nieces.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, at Meadowlark Community Church in San Marcos, with the Rev. Miller officiating.

Dorothy Beckett, 88
SAN DIEGO - Dorothy Blanche Beckett, 88, died Monday, Jan. 10, 2000, in San Diego.
Born Aug. 2, 1911, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, she lived in San Diego for two years. She was an officer manager for the Civil Service for 55 years.
Ms. Beckett is survived by her grandnephews, Blake Bremin of San Diego and Lonnie Dremin of Escondido; grandniece Diana Travnickeck of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and four great-grandnieces.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 17, at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Interment will follow.

Robert Petersen, 82
ENCINITAS - Robert E. "Bob" Petersen, 82, died Monday, Jan. 10, 2000, in Escondido.
Born April 18, 1917, in Escondido he lived in Encinitas for 41 years. He worked for San Diego Electrical Union, retiring in 1980. He was a 1935 graduate of Escondido High School and attended Fresno State College on a football scholarship. He was in the military during World War II, serving in the European Theatre. He coached Little League and Pop Warner Football in both Escondido and Encinitas for 25 years.
Mr. Petersen is survived by his wife of 53 years; sons Robert E. Petersen of Denton, Texas, Gary Petersen and Craig Petersen, both of Encinitas; daughter Vicki Wheeler of Medford, Ore.; brother Jack Petersen of Paradise; sister Geneive Burns of Escondido; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21, at North Coast Calvary Chapel in Carlsbad, with the Rev. Mark Foreman officiating.

Mary Dennis, 76
CARLSBAD - Mary E. Dennis, 76, died Friday, Jan. 14, 2000, in Oceanside.
Born Oct. 21, 1923, in Reading, Pa., she lived in Carlsbad for 44 years. She worked for San Marcos Water District before retiring and served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. She was a member of the board of directors of Carlsbad Girls Club and a member of the Womens Marines Association.
Mrs. Dennis was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Dennis Jr., in 1963. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John Dennis III and Stacia of Crestline; daughters and sons-in-law Lorraine and Kelly Irving and Anita Dennis, all of Carlsbad, and Eileen and Randy Brindley of Cayucos; brother and sister-in-law Dr. Robert and Mary Hein of Washington; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. today, Jan. 18, at Eternal Hills Mortuary. A reception will follow at Beach View Lodge in Carlsbad. A private cremation is planned.

Vincent Harron, 68
BONSALL - Vincent Edward Harron Jr., 68, died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2000, in Fallbrook.
Born May 13, 1931, in Brooklyn, N.Y., he lived in Bonsall for three years and had lived in San Diego for 43 years. He was a journeyman printer, lithographer, educator and drummer. He was a member of the Lion's Club, a lifetime member of the Musician's Union, faculty senate president for San Diego City College, a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and a volunteer educator for the Kumba Foundation.
Mr. Harron is survived by his son, Vincent E. Harron III of San Diego; daughters Ellen Marie Wallace of Spring Valley, Veronica Ann Neal of Boulder City, Nev., and Cathe Lynn Valdisera of San Marcos; and nine grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. today, Jan. 18, at Berry-Bell & Hall Chapel. A graveside service is scheduled for 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, at El Camino Memorial Park.

Nicholas Buskirk, 69
ESCONDIDO - Nicholas Buskirk Jr., 69, died Friday, Jan. 14, 2000, in Escondido.
Born Nov. 10, 1930, in Hastings, Neb., he lived in Escondido for 53 years. He graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and the University of Nebraska. He was a deputy commissioner of agriculture for the county of San Diego, retiring after 31 years and served in the U.S. Army. He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and co-authored Escondido Historical Society's book, Escondido Then and Now and was a charge of their photo collection. He was a member of the San Pasqual Battlefield Volunteer Association, giving presentations to school children throughout the county.
Mr. Buskirk is survived by his wife of 43 years, Shirley Buskirk of Escondido; son Michael Buskirk of Pine, Ariz.; daughters Karen Fountain and Paula DeWall, both of Escondido; brother William Buskirk of Eugene, Ore.; and grandchildren Christian Buskirk and John Buskirk, both of Pine, and Daniel Fountain and Otto Nicholas DeWall, both of Escondido.
A graveside service will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, at Oak Hill Memorial Park, with the Rev. Earl Guy officiating.

RAMONA - Peter M. Govern, 91, died Friday, Jan. 14, 2000, at his home.
Born Jan. 19, 1908, in Bancroft, Iowa, he lived in Ramona since 1985. He was a farmer for 34 years and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He helped to start the Richville Senior Citizens facility.
Mr. Govern is survived by his wife of 54 years, Iona B. Govern of Ramona; son and daughter-in-law Michael and Georgia Govern of Ramona; brother James Govern of Blue Earth, Minn.; sister Teresa Farrow of Fairmont, Minn.; grandchildren Stacey M. Govern and Rheynard A. Morgan, both of Ramona, and Victoria K. Seller of Auburndale, Fla.; and nine great-grandchildren.

Born Aug. 20, 1965, in Shelbyville, Tenn., he lived in Vista for 12 years. He worked for Holiday Marketing.
Mr. Stephens was preceded in death by his stepsister, Celest Brown, in 1985. He is survived by his wife of eight years, Christine Stephens of Vista; mother Linda K. Lauderdale of Unionville, Tenn.; father and stepmother Willie H. and Karen C. Stephens of Oceanside; son Matthew Stephens of Vista; daughters Miranda Stephens, Rhianna Stephens and Sarah Stephens, all of Vista; stepchildren P.J. SACRAMENTO - Virginia M. "Ginny" Smith, 70, died Friday, Dec. 31, 1999.
Born Oct. 30, 1929, she lived in Carlsbad for more than 20 years. She was a deputy city clerk in Carlsbad for 10 years and was a member of the Toastmistress Club.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her son, Greg Smith, in 1997. She is survived by her son and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Racquel Smith and Kay Smith; daughter and son-in-law Pam and Bob Hereeck; brother Dr. Frank Giddings; sisters Darlene Beach and Demaris Breen; and grandchildren Brad, Ben, Jennifer, Natalie, Marisa, Shanna, Robert, Stephanie and Anna Lee; and by her former husband, T. Bruce Smith.
A memorial service was held Friday, Jan. 7, at the George L. Klumpp Chapel of Flowers in Sacramento. Interment will take place in Springfield, Mo., beside her parents.

Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband, Milo Taylor, in 1999; and her daughter, Sharon Kay Taylor, in 1941. FALLBROOK - Vincent Terrence Creegan, 83, died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2000, in Fallbrook.
Born June 15, 1916, in Pittsburg, Pa., he lived in Fallbrook for 11 years. He was a production supervisor for Weiser Lock for 25 years and was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus for more than 50 years, serving as past grand night in Downey.
Mr. Creegan is survived by his wife of more than 60 years, Leona Creegan of Fallbrook; daughters Karen Cooper of Anaheim, Ann Harris of Petaluma and Mary Cicchillo and Jane Bastain, both of Fallbrook; sister Anne Kornosky of Michigan; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
