RAMONA - Glen E. Hunter, 65, died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2001, in Ramona.
Born March 20, 1935, in Ryan, Okla., he lived in Ramona for 29 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years and worked for the Daley Corporation in construction for 16 years. He enjoyed fishing and working around the house.
Mr. Hunter is survived by his wife, Karen A. Hunter of Ramona; daughters Susan Lynn Palleson and Nannette Richardson, both of Ramona; sister Ruth Allsbrook of Ramona; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be held, with inurnment to take place at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in Point Loma.
The family suggests memorial donations to the American Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 4901 Morena Blvd., Suite 104, San Diego, CA 92117.

Frank Hewett, 63
SIOUX CITY, Iowa - Frank M. Hewett, 63, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2001, in Sioux City.
Born April 9, 1937, in Sioux City, he lived in Sioux City for 19 years. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton from 1956 to 1959. He attended Riverview School and graduated from East High School in 1956. He worked for McKesson-Robbins in California for many years and worked as a security guard for Marian Health Center from 1982 to 1999. He was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church and enjoyed genealogy studies, reading and golfing.
Mr. Hewett was preceded in death by his mother and father, Vira and Claude M. Hewett. He is survived by his wife, Carol Hewett of Sioux City; former wife Pat Hewett of Carlsbad; sons and daughter-in-law Matt and Cathy Hewett of Sioux City and Timothy Hewett and friend Kathy Gassmon of Huntington Beach; daughters and sons-in-law Kathleen Hewett-Smith and husband Stan of Richmond, Va., Christine and Jim Austin of Dallas, Ga., and Cynthia and Tim Johnson of Sioux City; stepchildren Monty West and friend Christine of Omaha, Neb., Lonny West of Ute, Iowa, Bruce West and Jill Onyegbule, both of Sioux City; grandchildren Ashley, Alexandra, Forrest, Ryan, Matthew, Jessica, Lauren and Kelli; sisters Barbara Ann Richer of Sioux City and Claudia Jean Snider of Fresno.

Sandra Barron, 47
PAUMA VALLEY - Sandra M. Barron, 47, died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2001, in Escondido.
Born Jan. 28, 1953, in Caracas, Venezuela, she lived in Pauma Valley and had lived in Maui for many years and in Valley Center. She was a homemaker and had graduated from Orange Glen High School in 1971. She loved the beach and jewelry making.
Mrs. Barron was preceded in death by her father, Noble Jones. She is survived by her mother, Alice Jones of Escondido; son Kyle Barron of Pauma Valley; sisters and brother-in-law Marsha Jones C. deBaca of Escondido and Cynthia and Bill Dorr of Kona, Hawaii; and niece Lilly Dorr.
Viewing was held and a rosary recited Monday, Jan. 8, at Alhiser-Comer Mortuary. A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today, Jan. 9, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Escondido, with the Rev. Bong officiating. interment will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Katherine Sizelove, 86
ESCONDIDO - Katherine Sizelove, 86, died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2001, at Palomar Medical Center.
Born Sept. 10, 1914, in Sacramento, she lived in Escondido for 18 1/2 years. She worked for the Baptist Home Assn. before retiring in 1982 and was a member of Hidden Valley Chapel in Escondido.
Mrs. Sizelove was preceded in death by her husband, Jess Sizelove, on Feb. 12, 1993. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Cliff and Mary Sizelove of Angels Camp; daughter and son-in-law Karen and Bob Taylor of Escondido; grandchildren Janice Aday, Barbara Aday-Garcia, Connie Morris, Ron Aday, Carl Sizelove and Pam McNeill; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10, at Hidden Valley Chapel in Escondido.
The family suggests memorial donations to Hidden Valley Chapel, 2541 E. Washington, Escondido, CA 92027.

Kimberly Christy, 38
TEMECULA - Kimberly Ann Christy, 38, died Monday, Jan. 8, 2001, of cancer, at Rancho Springs Medical Center.
Born June 30, 1962, in Dallas, she lived in Temecula for eight years and had lived in Duncanville, Texas, for 30 years. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Christy is survived by her husband of eight years, Richard Christy of Temecula; mother and father Naomi and Arthur Townsend of Duncanville; sons Nicholas Christy and Steven Christy, both of Temecula; daughter Cortney Christy of Temecula; and sisters Laura Salinas of Keller, Texas, and Tammy Castillo of Rockwall, Texas.
Visitation was held Wednesday, Jan. 10, at Stout Family Funeral Home in Temecula. A funeral service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. today, Jan. 11, at the funeral home. interment will follow at 11:45 a.m. at Temecula Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, 1240 Palmyrita, Unit A, Riverside, CA 92507.

Grover Stewart, 83
SUN CITY - Grover Richard Stewart, 83, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001, of respiratory failure, at Sun City Convalescent Center.
Born May 19, 1917, in St. Louis, he lived in Sun City for 20 years. He was a sales manager for Pacific Telephone Co. in San Gabriel Valley and San Diego for 33 years and served in the U.S. Army from 1940 to 1945. He enjoyed playing golf and was a member of the Cherry Hills Golf Club of Sun City.
Mr. Stewart is survived by his wife, Pauline Stewart of Sun City; son Michael Baker of Pasadena; and one granddaughter.
A private inurnment is planned.

Pervis Perrin, 92
MENIFEE - Pervis Perrin, 92, died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2001, at Alvarado Hospital in San Diego.
Born Aug. 22, 1908, in Ennis, Texas, he lived in Menifee for 18 1/2 years. He was the manager of Lake Elsinore Trailer Park for 20 years.
Mr. Perrin is survived by his wife, Angeline Perrin of San Diego; son Clell Perrin of Arizona; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at noon Wednesday, Feb. 7, at Menifee Antelope Rural Center.

Honore Roush, 93
SAN MARCOS - Honore Violet Roush, 93, died Friday, Jan. 5, 2001, at Palomar Continuing Care.
Born Feb. 3, 1907, in Lima, Ohio, she lived in San Marcos for two years. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Roush was preceded in death by her husband, Rex H. Roush, in 1982; and her daughter, Carol Sargent, in 1989. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne and Robert Peacock of Escondido; sister Lois Powelson of Columbus, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, at Emmanuel Faith Community Church, with the Rev. Jim Learned officiating. A private cremation is planned.

John Baca, 38
OCEANSIDE - John E. Baca, 38, died Monday, Jan. 8, 2001, at his home.
Born Oct. 12, 1962, in Montebello, he lived in Oceanside since 1964. He attended Old Mission San Luis Rey and enjoyed boating, fishing and reading books about the old West.
Mr. Baca is survived by his mother and father, Evelyn and Frank Baca of Oceanside; brothers and sisters-in-law Frank and Joyce Baca, Richard Baca and Dennis and Cheryl Baca, all of Oceanside; sister and brother-in-law DaleMarie and Ralph Gonzales of Oceanside; seven nieces and nephews, all of Oceanside; and one great-niece of Oceanside.
A private Burial is planned.

Anita Kirkham, 101
RAMONA - Anita M. Kirkham, 101, died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2001, in Escondido.
Born April 29, 1899, in Visalia, she lived in Ramona for 57 years. She was a homemaker for 79 years.
Mrs. Kirkham was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Kirkham, in 1959; and her son, Warren Watson, in 1996. She is survived by her daughter, Wynelle Isaac of Portland, Ore.; daughter-in-law Vera Watson of Escondido; grandchildren Bruce Watson of San Marcos, Scott Watson, Teresa Rawdon and Kristine Watson, all of Escondido, Rodger Glos and Leslie Cassinelli, both of Portland; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, at Dearborn Memorial Park in Poway.

Raymond Morgan, 65
PALA - Raymond O. Morgan, 65, died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2001.
Born Sept. 2, 1935, in Los Angeles, he lived in Pala for 55 years. He was a member of the Pala Indian tribe and of the Pala Mission Parish.
Mr. Morgan is survived by his stepfather, Jean Jackson of Pala; cousins Helen Crane of Pauma Valley, Lillian Siva and Angela Ortega, both of Pala, and Eric Ortega of Tucson, Ariz.; and aunt Lillian Siva of Pala.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., with a rosary recited and a vigil service held at 7 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 14, at Pala Mission.
A Mass will be recited at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 15, at Pala Mission. Burial will follow at Pala Mission Cemetery.

Opal Hansen, 96
RANCHO BERNARDO - Opal M. Hansen, 96, died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2001, in Poway.
Born Jan. 6, 1905, in Linne, Mo., she lived in Rancho Bernardo for three years. She was the owner and operator of the Ferry Club Bar.
Ms. Hansen is survived by many nieces and nephews, including Hazel Burns of Rancho Bernardo.
A private inurnment will take place at a later date at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier.

Stephen Franko, 76
ESCONDIDO - Stephen Robert Franko, 76, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2001.
Born May 4, 1924, in Cleveland, he lived in Escondido for 41 years. He was a teacher at Grant Middle School for 27 years and coached high school students and youth leagues in a variety of sports. He enjoyed gardening, sports, having former students stop him on the street to tell him how much they appreciated him, and everything "Hawaii."
Mr. Franko is survived by his wife of 51 years, Juanita Franko of Escondido; sons and daughter-in-law Christopher Franko and John and Lisa Franko, all of Escondido; daughters and sons-in-law Susan and Craig Beam of San Diego, Kathryn and David Nead of Gresham, Ore., and Therese and John Crawford of Temecula; sister Rosemarie Kisasonak of Pittsburgh; and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Escondido, with the Rev. Michael Gallagher officiating. A private cremation is planned.

Frank Perez, 83
SUN CITY - Frank Carmona Perez, 83, died Monday, Jan. 8, 2001, of heart failure, at his home.
Born June 8, 1917, in San Francisco, he lived in Sun City for 30 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 25 1/2 years and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed ham radio.
Mr. Perez is survived by his wife, Camelia Perez of Sun City; daughters Irene Kievenaar of Providence, R.I., Charleen Bryant of Grand Terrace and Patricia Perez-Compton of Mesa, Ariz.; son Frank A. Perez of Waipahu, Hawaii; brothers Shorty Perez of Victorville, Manuel Perez of San Francisco, Johnny Perez of Hayward, Pete Perez of Watertown, Wis.; sister Carmen Dominquez of Roseville, Antoinette Helton of Vacaville and Annie George of San Marino; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Wednesday, Jan. 10. A graveside service took place Thursday, Jan. 11, at Riverside National Cemetery. Burial followed.

Ralph Holmes, 96
CYPRESS - Ralph E. Holmes, 96, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2001, at Los Alamitos Medical Center.
Born Jan. 26, 1904, in Irene, Ill., he lived in Cypress for 11 years and had lived in Sun City from 1968 to 1989. He was a pilot in the U.S. Air Force, serving in Sacramento, for 30 years. He enjoyed reading and photography and was a member of the Daedailians.
Mr. Holmes is survived by his daughter, Marjorie H. Van Dyke of Lenox, Mass.; son Ralph Holmes Jr. of Cypress; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. today, Jan. 12, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Garden Grove. Burial will follow at 2:45 p.m. at Riverside National Cemetery, Staging Area 4.
The family suggests memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Association National Headquarters, 70 East Lake St., Chicago, IL 60601-5997.

Grace Lofaro, 67
SAN DIEGO - Grace P. Lofaro, 67, died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2001, in Escondido.
Born March 13, 1933, in Glens Falls, N.Y., she lived in San Diego for 25 years. She was an activities aide for Country Hills Nursing Home.
Mrs. Lofaro was preceded in death by her son, Scott Lofaro, in 1987. She is survived by her sons, Frank Lofaro of Shaftsbury, Vt., William Lofaro of San Diego and Kevin Lofaro of Escondido; daughters Debra Loy of Ramona, Kathleen Cooper and Tamela Lofaro, both of Auxvasse, Mo., and Jill Lofaro of Escondido; sister Janice Galia of Albany, N.Y.; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Thursday, Jan. 11, at McLeod Mortuary Chapel. A private cremation is planned.

ESCONDIDO - Ida G. Sutliff, 96, died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2001, at Palomar Medical Center.
Born June 30, 1904, in Nebraska, she lived in Escondido for 55 years. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Sutliff is survived by her sons, Warren E. Miller of Omaha, Neb., Floral M. Miller of Sacramento; stepson George Edward Sutliff of Ontario; daughter Ruby F. Willis of San Marcos; stepdaughters Beverly Nunn of Crestline, Helen Carlson of Long Beach and Betty Purdy of Springfield, Ore.; 22 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, at Greenwood Mortuary in San Diego. A funeral service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, at the mortuary, with the Rev. Kent Traylor officiating. interment will follow at Greenwood Memorial Park.
